NO! there's a disclaimer:
3. Go to Service Info... Configuration... And see whats there in Rooting Status. If it reads like:
Code:
Rooting Status:
Bootloader unlock Status: Yes
proceed. Else, do not attempt to unlock the bootloader

Sadly unlocking the bootloader will invalidate your warranty which ever way you do.
Samsung are offering an unlocked version of the GIII..... with no warranty (at least in the US anyways)

But it won't work, because fastboot is disabled still. The only known way right now to enable fastboot is via paid method.

First, check that your phone is allowed to be unlocked. Dial *#*#7378423#*#* on your phone. Tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.
Download the “fastboot” package. This is a software which will unlock your phone’s bootloader. Unzip it and place the folder on your PC’s desktop (or anywhere else).
Download the “fastboot” drivers. Install them accordingly.
Head over to Sony’s Bootloader Unlocking page. Click to confirm that you are sure! Accept the legal terms.
Put your name, your phone’s IMEI number and your email ID in respective fields. Your phone’s IMEI number is found by dialing *#06# on your phone. Write that down by discarding the last digit (phone’s IMEI numbers are 14-digit. Sony Xperia devices will give you a number with 15-digit once you dial *#06#. Just ignore the last digit). On the next page, you will be given an unlock code. Write this down as well.
Turn off your phone. Wait for 30 seconds. Connect your phone to the PC while keeping the volume up key pressed. Your phone’s LED will lit blue (indicating fastboot mode).
Head over to the location where you kept the previously unzipped fastboot folder. Right click while keeping pressed the SHIFT key on the folder and select “Open command prompt here”.
Type fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version to ensure your have entered bootloader mode (you will get version on java example, 0.3)
Type fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY (replace KEY with unlock code you got from Sony’s website earlier)
Voila, your phone’s bootloader is now unlocked.
Hi guys this is my first post and i too have the same problem with the bootloader on my mini pro2, i managed to root my phone the other day using this method:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695514
I thought it would unlock my bootloader but it didnt and the reason i rooted my phone was to overclock it but i am now told i need to unlock the bootloader too to allow me to overclock it, i have exactly same problem as op so i am asking if anyone knows a way to unlock it even though it has bootloader lock set to NO
Also if i do manage to unlock the bootloader will i have to root my phone again or will it still be rooted?
If the bootloader unlock is not allowed, it is due to sim lock...you can unlock it using wotanserver or omnius or you may find some help in the local shops(try at ur risk i'm just suggesting) and if you rooted the phone and then unlock the bootloader you will still have the root(like me :laugh...just see the stickies for more help and guides by mihahn...
Press THANKS if I helped....

Abhinav

How do I relock my Xperia Mini Pro? I unlocked it through the official way on the Sony Website and wanting to relock it now. I reflashed my phone to stock ROM with stock KERNEL and want to lock the bootloader. I downloaded Flashtool and now I don't know what to do. Should I use Flashtool or S1tool? Please help, thanks
Plus, Flashtool is not recognizing any drivers I have installed, I installed my phone's driver using Gordan Gate's which I got from WontanServer. Will I have to install the drivers manually?
If you used official method, you will need this file, attached to my post, inside the .rar file, and Flashtool. Just place the .ftf file in Flashtool/firmwares folder, then open Flashtool, flashmode and pick the relock_bootloader.ftf file. Make sure your phone is in Flashmode also.
About drivers...I cannot remember, which drivers did I install...
Thanks, a lot, I have finally relocked the bootloader. But just to make sure, how can I check If my bootloader is locked or unlocked? Thanks

Dial *#*#7378423#*#* service info>cofiguration. If it says bootloader unlocked allowed : yes then it's locked, if bootloader unlocked : yes then it's unlocked.
One qeustion by my side: After relocking the bootloader, is it posiible when you send it to the servis to be detected that the bootloader has been unlocked (or maybe that the device has been rooted) previously? I have relocked the bootloader and done repair with Pc companion so everything is like before well.....except that before i did a root with flashtool and didn't knew that the stock firmware isn't rootable like that and i lost 3G!!!!!!...now i must set to 2g in order to get signal coz i get with 3g weak signal and when i make a call it drops off. That's why i want to send it to the service

No i didn't try to relock it and i'm sorry for the misunderstanding..
What i was trying to say is that if i reflash my phone to stock ROM with stock KERNEL and take it to service how will they know that it's unlocked?
If they try the known dial *#*#7378423#*#* method my devise says : bootloader unlocked allowed : yes

I knew that your post had nothing to do with relocking patrida If you unlocked your phone with sony's official method you loose your DRM even if you relock it.Now, about the service, i highly doubt they gonna search if you unlocked it but i can't swear about that. There is also another method unlocking your phone without loosing DRM but didn't tried it and i don't know if they can detect it or not

Now i get it.. you loose your DRM the exact time you ask them to provide you unlock code!
So,no matter what you do afterwards they allready know which device is unlocked and which is not.. sosta thessalonikie mou??
My phone is unlocked with the "other" method and let's hope that i'll never have to take it to them and wonder if they detect it or not!!!
My phone now is locked and to check if your bootloader is locked or not, download S1tool. Open S1tool and click "Identify" and then follow the onscreen instructions. When your phone's information comes up it will say "R(some numbers and letters)". If you have a capital R means your bootloader is locked, if you have a small r means your bootloader is unlocked.

You lose DRM, if you unlock via fastboot using official method. When DRM is gone, it is completely gone, currently there is no way of getting it back.

I have no idea (as I have not needed this), but my best guess would be that those people may not have installed the correct driver that comes with flashtool.
Seems tha mobile phone is a branded phone..... its a paid method yhu gonna use, check wotanserver client maybe yhu can get something there!

then you have to use paid method, because fastboot is disabled. There is no other way to enable fastboot at the moment.
Yes, I have "Unlock allowed: NO" and ran many times S1TOOL without success because i made a very bad choice to buy a mobile from VODAFONE (the worst company, in my opinion)
So, the only way to enable boot loader as far as I know is by UNLOCK in a shop. One of my friend did this to a sk17i of YOIGO and did the trick well. He can now enjoy the miniICS which run amaizing.
Im thinking to do the same. SONY and VODAFONE deceive me. (and its not the first time)
I dont think by software like Wotan you could do. (
when i check *#*# code7378423#*#*
in service menu
Bootloader unlock allowed no
what should i do???
i need to unlock my bootloader
please pelp
get an unlock code from your network provider, some people have said that once they removed the simlock its let them unlock the bootloader. if that doesnt work then theres not much you can do untill someone works out another way to unlock it
no fastboot mode.
Theres only one solution I know of, and it may be a crazy one....
Use search first, and read the other 500 threads created on this topic ;-)

If you want to unlock the boot loader, use the wotanserver.com
* In addition to sim unlock you get an unlocked bootloader.
However, it seems to me that at the moment, this service does not support SXS
Try to write the administration service.

What is a "rootable bootloader"?
For the Croatian members:
I've just called customer service of Vipnet( Vodafone) and they told me that there is no problem, you can unlock boot loader for only 480 HRK (~65€).
Well, if there's no free unlocking solution in few weeks I'll have to milk some cash. It's still better then locked for life.

Welcome. Looking for a simple way to unlock the bootloader in the neo-v. Very I would be happy if you show me applications such as one-click.Sorry for my bad english I can not take advantage of the testpoint method and official methods sony
Why you can not use the official way? This is the official way: Unlocking the boot loader
As I know there is no application which will do what you expected with only one click, I repeat, as I know.
Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2070325

There's S1Tool described in big thread in Neo V Development subforum. It uses testpoint method. You can try it. It haven't worked for me so I used Omnius Server. It uses testpoints too. I bought single unlock credit for $15 but you may find someone in your area with full version or with SE Tool, it should be cheaper. I'm not sure what happens to DRM since I don't use it and I flashed LX CM 10.1 right away.
Thank you all for your ideas. But I think I will try to testpoint method ... If you have any other ideas please write:laugh:
I have an idea ... It may suffice check what files are changing when you unlock the bootloader and put them on the phone with a locked bootloader
I don't know if you unlock the bootloader using the test point method the DRM security keys and the secure user data partition are lost.
By using the method suggested by me above, the official method those two are lost and the warranty of your phone will be lost in most cases.
So be careful
Later edit
I read some pages about test point method, seems the DRM code is not lost when the bootloader is unlocked by test point method.
