tampered bootloader questions - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

hey guys, I got my evo 4g lte about a week and a half ago and want to exchange my phone for the galaxy s3. My problem is that my bootloader says tampered. will they accept the phone for exchange?

No. Reload the RUU . The original one your.phone has.

Get it. Just be watchful for hardware glitches. My screen kept flickering randomly. Had to get it replaced.
I unrooted my ns4g back to stock but the bootloader is still unlocked will Sprint notice it being unlocked

I really don't think so. But I always suggest to people never root your phone until after 30 days return policy is up. Cause you never know if you have to return it.

It's not really about rooting it but I get what you mean.
Run the ruu.... It will get rid of tampered message, and unroot the phone

But it will still say relocked will that be a problem I'm not worrying about best buy I am worried about HTC

If that was the case Best Buy accepted the phone back and not HTC.

Device warranty isn't carrier specific, once you're withing your one year warranty, they will honour it, they have to.

Question about selling my phone

What would my phone be worth? I took the official ics firmware zip and had no cell signal after. Even took it to a guy I know and he couldn't fix it. Everything works even wifi just gets no cell signal at all. Got no answer about what it was in multiple forums but ppl did try to help me out . What would it be worth? Anybody want an evo 3d tablet? Lol

That could be a problem for Devs.
However, I'm 90% sure you can fix it.
It says you flashed it to Cricket?
Why not try flashing it back to Sprint?
Lol an RUU would flash back to sprint. Believe me..I've flashed phones..and i took it to someone who has an actual HTC dev account. Nothing worked. Like the other Guy said. I think my radio burned out. Unless its something like if you flashed a GSM firmware to a cdma phone. That's the only thing that might compare

Got a replacement phone! Evo 4G LTE

Sup XDA!
I just got a "new" Sprint HTC Evo 4G LTE on friday. Due to my other Evo dying, my Sprint Insurance covered for a "new" one.
I thought this one was fine..but it lags big time. A few features don't work on the phone,(auto rotate, when texting or watching youtube) Apps sometimes freezes but comes back in a few seconds, the camera lags big time and simply its making me sick.
The funny thing is..I'm getting great reception with this "new" Evo from my last Evo. But it lags so bad..
What should I do?
Should I take it back to Sprint and try to get another replacement or....
Thanks, from Chris

I would try a factory reset first, if it doesn't get better take to the store or contact the insurance company. They have a warranty period.

So I shouldn't try to ROOT and install some goodies?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
He hey he, I never said not to root.. LOL.. But I would make sure the phone works 100% stock so you avoid issues when rooting.
