I've got an SGS that was on CM9, I'm now using pawitp's CM10 Alpha & have noticed something missing:
The arrows on the search box that allow you to enter autocompleted text without seaching for it (just adds the autocomplete to your search string) is missing. See the screenshots below for comparison (ICS (or GB?) on the left, JB on the right)
Was that something added by CyanogenMod? Or is it part of Android that's been dropped? I used to use it a lot! Back in the days of the HTC G1 you could use the track ball to scroll down through the list, but without that you're reliant on the arrows.

If you don't have the option on the righthand-bottom side (Ruisonderdrukking=Noise Reduction) after you press the menu button during call then your Rom doesn't support it I Guess. I am on stock rom 2.3.6 (I9100XXKH3).

What bramandroid said. That said - what ROM are you on? Stock? (which I doubt, because a stock ROM would have this option) If not, you will probably have to find a phone.apk compatible with your ROM that has this option.
First thing we need to know is exactly what ROM you are currently running.
EDIT: Look at what user toxicdust posted just today (1/12/2012). It DOES involve popping open the phone, which can be a daunting task, but it offers a permanent solution without mucking with firmwares, apk's, or any custom ROMs. I intend to try this out this weekend, as I currently have a software solution (custom phone.apk with NR turned off by default), which works fine, but I would like the phone to work with NR enabled, as it is one of the reasons I bought the phone in the first place.
hi,just flash the new ICS ROM with my GS2,
but...there are something different about the screenshot with the develoopers,

thanks for the recommend....but miui is not my type....
I am also using Foxhound, I think some of the screenshots he has up are from a recently posted version as my previous version looked that way. Raff might be able to provide you another systemiu that could fix this. Or if you wanted, flash a previous version of Foxhound. Octacon v1 had the recently used apps looking the same way as you want to and is a stable ROM. Its available for download still on his download link. I think it was only changed in the most recent ROM.

thank you very much......finally can solve the problem....
Not sure if anyone's tried this yet so I decided to post it.
Drive Link is similar to Car Home but has its own interface.
It has a few bugs but it works ok on Sense. Haven't tried it on AOSP.
Can be installed like a normal app.
DriveLink.apk
Same precautionary rules apply.

New version just came out, temp works for me, but it's still very buggy, I'm on cyanogen, does the app work properly with touchwiz? I'm looking at ordering the sony XAV701HD with mirrorlink, but I want to make sure the app is stable first
Here's a link to the latest version

Thanks for the heads up. Updated OP.

Nope it does not work. I have the XAV-701BT and it just gives an error message on the unit saying usb device not recognised. Dont know if it has to do with CM10 or what. I am on paranoid android and its not working. Have not had the time to revert to stock ICS on sgs3 to see if its working
EDIT : Finally got it to work, by going back to Stock ics rom, now it works like a charm
EDIT 2: Tested it on Omega and its still working
I removed in my phone several apps but in menu still is a entry for Sprint ID, then i want remove or replace the default app for this button, in another words replace shortcut destination/folder for when i select/open Sprint ID instead open other app.
In this menu (example):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

}
Thanks.
I'm sorry, what?
Most custom launchers like Launcher Pro will allow you to hide apps from the app drawer, but for the Menu, I am unclear on what you are trying to do.
Are you trying to add a shortcut to the sub menu? I don't see Sprint ID anywhere on that screen-shot, confused on what exactly you're trying to replace.

This screenshoot is not mine but that menu open with same key in my phone, i´m not sure which name is.
Oh, okay. You mean this.
Yeah, the only way I got around it was installing a replacement launcher.
If there's a way to replace that option on the menu, I'm sure that it'll need to be flashed over, and at that point you might as well try out another ROM
Something like this, which is a stock rom that has been de-blurred, and most of the Sprint bloatware removed.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1587770
Or you can run this script that will de-cruft your current rom.

Clock Widget
I was searching around the GNex Forums and stumbled along this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1964389 Sadly, it didn't work on CM10 for the i777 because we have a HDPI device, not a XHDPI device. I resized the images and it works great (I DIDN'T MAKE THESE IMAGES MYSELF, I JUST RESIZED THEM). Tested only with CM10, but if it works on another ROM, then let me know and I'll update the description. It doesn't delete anything so give it a try and see if it works on another ROM. (NewClockWidget.zip)
Camera Icons
This is something I was looking for for a really long time. Ultimately, I couldn't find any versions of this, so I found a Nexus 10 screenshot, and managed to crop and edit the Camera icon out. Also, I learned that XXHDPI is 144x144px for those who care. I'm uploading the icons as PNGs (all four sizes) as well as a zip for CM10 ONLY. (NewCameraIcons.zip)
We use the same ROM
Yay

Because it wasn't made for that ROM or device...
goo work, thanks.
is the photosphere working in this camera?
This isn't the 4.2 Camera app. It's just the 4.1.2 Camera from the i777 nightly (i forget which one) with the new icon. It doesn't have any new features. If anything, it's just a resource for the images.
