Try pushing power + home button simultaneously (for 5 sec or something like that)
Turn on motion in settings and then swipe the edge of your palm from one side of the screen to the other.
The guy above is smoking crack.

power button + home button together
else turn on motion under setting > palm swipe to capture
then use your palm either swipe from left to right or right to left to take screen shot

Yeap... no crack there: he is right.
That combination has been the default method in stock ROMs since the days of the first Galaxy S, and even although the swype thing works in the S III, the PWR+HOME combo was kept.
Thank you all for answering

what i meant was that the navigation keys dont correspond to the built in hardware keys, meaning the back nav key is on top of search button, menu nav key on top of back button, recent nav key on top of menu button, only the home key is on top of home button... any solution ?

Dear friend,
There's a problem in your hardware related to the power switching. Its internal.Take it to the SONY service center nearby and I think they won't charge you more for this minor problem. Please Lock you bootloader and make sure you are on Generic ROM before you approach.
Press thanks if I helped

Just out of interest, how does one 'relock' the bootloader on the Ray? I unlocked mine with the test point method, if that's any help.

[Q] Droid Woes

Hi Techies,
This is one of the worst snafus ever.
This is the BSOD of androids. This
is infuriating. It all began with the
slow bloody network: the 'E' and 'H'
problem? To rectify it, I downloaded
the Android Secret Codes app and the
rest, as they say, was a disaster.
The code that I pressed was this: *#0*#
This displayed an array of coloured boxes
which were all 'geek' to me. Then I, 'accident
like', pressed a blue box in the top extreme
right corner. An arrow appeared which upon
pressing, produced a billion shortcuts which
disappeared when I 'repressed' the arrow.
Now the arrow refuses to go away (just like
my mom-in-law). So can you guys help me
get rid of my mom in law, er, the arrow?
Thanks
