fxcamera and camera 360. i personally prefer fxcamera.
is vignette still a great choise or not? I want a camera app that has some stabilisation functionaly (to try take sharper photos in the dark for example, when it takes a longer time), but I want to make sure it's a good choise before I pay for the app.
Or are there any other recommendations meanwhile?

I'd have to say Camera 360 is nice.
camera 360 wouldn't open on my wildfire (also not compatible through market). Vignette seemed to make worse photos than the standard CM7 app and takes like 20 seconds after each photo until it is finished :s Even on 5MP en superfine quality. So I guess I better keep using the standard app (even though it looks like ****), at least that can film too
i can't find any of these on the market!
i just tried to look for fxcamera and camera 360 but it was a complete fail.
Hey guys, take a look at this camera app. http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=552445&d=1301144618
well guys finally i made "camera 360" usable with wildfire...its still in its beta stages....little bit of bugs are there....like Geo tagging is not working...and few of its advanced featured had been disabled by me due to the lack of a powerful arm7 processor n gpu ...but auto focus..manual focus and full quality 5.1 mp super fine images have been enabled....its actually better than the stock htc camera...its bit laggy while processing the images...but that wont effect....you can click while its processing the image in background...100% uncompressed image has been enabled...you can take the best quality pics that can is possible by the camera...njoy...
please uninstall mimu camera before installing this...its uses the same lib n frame files...may cause force shutdown if used together
do give feedback....i wanna know the bugs that you are facing....
I was looking for a good camera app for atrix. I think the stock gingerbread camera app from Motorola don't make the best use of 5MP Camera. I've used Camera Zoom FX but it doesn't cover the full screen. The photos are a bit small.
Which camera app do you reccomend for taking best pictures?
no app, get the droid 3 cam
How to get that? & How to install that? Any help?
what rom are you using?

Stock Gingerbread (2.3.4) from Motorola. Rooted.
Yes, the DROID 3 cam is the best, got it with the Darkside ROM.
Zoom Camera FX. Better than any other camera, including the droid 3 camera, imo. Smoother and longer zoom (13x), more flash modes (auto, on, and flashlight mode for video recording or to see what your pic will look like with flash before you take it), more scene modes, the ability to clap or shout and have a picture taken (as well as timed modes and steady shot mode), and better autofocus options make it hands-down the best camera app I've used, and I've tried all of them. That's not even taking into account all the awesome effects you can do with it. You can either shoot a pic and apply effects later, or set the effects and see them real-time before you take the pic.
*I am in no way affiliated with this app and have nothing to gain by recommending it.

This is true. Zoom Camera FX ! I use it since I got my ATRIX in March. Since than they always made a lot of nice improvements on the application, the gui for example. I use the paid version and I really can recommend it.
And I like Paper Camera for special effects.
And what is the best?
Miui, Droid 3, Camera FX...
Greatings

I was complaining about Camera Zoom FX because it wasn't taking pictures full of my screen's phone! But that was in the settings! I chose Widescreen & now everything is perfect! Very happy with Camera Zoom FX. It took photos so crisper, smoother & perfect!
I use the paid version & the latest version is 3.2.1
Do the apps recommended in this thread also include 720p video recording?

I like Camera Zoom FX, but is the quality really better than the MIUI camera? FX has more customization options, but MIUI camera--to me--seems to take a better picture. Thoughts?

I tried MIUI Camera & played it with 2 days. But Camera Zoom FX really take better pictures than MIUI. I've tried same picture with both of them. Camera Zoom FX takes crisper image than all of the others.
Besides, taking photos with volume down button is a huge plus point for me. Camera with physical button really enhance the possibility to take better pictures. Tap anywhere to capture is another very wanted feature by me.
Is there a way to find a flashable addon for the Droid 3 or MIUI camera? or at least an apk. Thanks
Also how do you set the save location for MIUI camera? Its already preloaded in MROM so Im currently using it.

the camera on stock GB rom works flawlessly, why do you need the ICS version.
ICS camera is the best for me, macro mode is better than in stock camera, is smoothly and take brighter pictures, I don't know why everyone is recommending stock camera maybe I have something wrong with Achotjan ROM, but I don't think so, can someone help?

Have you tried Vignette? I think it's the best camera app right now. With 8 Mp 'Super-fine' mode you can get a 5 MB image - while with the stock or other apps (like ICS Camera or CameraZoom) you can only get 2 - 2.5 MB. I've compared a image taken with Vignette and other with stock camera, on maximum zoom in Album. Huge difference, the details in the first are amazing. You must try it. :cyclops:
Hello Guys
I want to Use the MIUI Camera App in a 7.1 Rom.
Anybody know how to extract the app and install this in a newer Rom?
I know that the . most of the 7.x Rom´s have Camera Issues and we are Happy to make Picture with them but to try a Slow Motion Video/ Timelapse or HDR without a Third Party app out of the Play store would a nice thing be =)

Same for RR ROM. Miui stock app takes better images.
I would love to have the miui camera app on this cm rom too, wow.
I don't think that it'll be possible... And also if you somehow do it, it won't work as good as when you were using it on MIUI... There are some better camera mods to use...
And also i have to ask that MIUI camera's quality is really that better? Or is the difference in the camera quality really noticeable?
I think the MIUI camera takes the best pictures. It's the only reason I haven't moved to a custom rom yet as my daily driver.
I was cm fan but when i tested miui i can't leave this system , it's much better than cm ,and it's more like custom rom rather stock Android
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using XDA-Developers mobile app
actually miui camera will need various of miui rom api's, so it is very difficult to port
Asked for the same before and from what I understood, porting that app will be super difficult. But I concur the camera app under MIUI is just that good. Would be mint to have it on other ROMs
Snapdragon camera works same as stock on MIUI (atleast I think so)
link?

Yep there is a big difference, if you get the device you will notice
without stock camera there is lot of noises in low light and non of the camera can take image like hdr pro mode in miui cam, and also the manual mode, some of camera enable manual but only limited like shutter speed to 1/s or the max iso to 1600, i tried lots of cam flashable zips or app store app none of them are good.:crying::crying::crying:

You can try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/themes/miui-camera-port-kenzo-kate-t3670989 or this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5/themes/app-miui-camera-ported-xiaomi-mi-a1-t3670607
This is ported from MI A1 Stock Rom. Works well on Custom Roms.
May not work on Oreo Roms.

It works in nougat. Give permissions first n thn try to open the app.
Yes Thank you Guys! I did try it out the last day`s.
now i need to know how to close this thread ?=/
Why would you use miui camera when you can have google camera with hdr+???
He posted this before Google hdrr+ was there.
Hi people,
I already asked this in a ROM thread, but since I have the problem on other custom rom too, I decided to ask it here.
Yesterday I flashed the Aosp Extended ROM. Everything except the camera is okay.
Today I flashed the Viper ROM. Everything except the camera is okay.
The problem is, when I am about to take the photo or, before I click on the shutter in the camera app, the picture is too blurry or I have problem with focusing.
After I have taken the photo, the photo seems okay and not blurry like in the "preview".
I have attached two photos. One is screenshot of my camera app, other one is a picture taken with that camera app.
As you can see, the screenshot is just blurry.
Anything that could be done on this point?
I came from MIUI 9 global version.
Flashed Firmware in the AEX thread, flashed rom, flashed gapps. Camera was bad.
Now I have flashed the Viper, camera is same.
Is it maybe Firmware problem or something?
Thanks.

Ya, that's same with everyone in custom roms using that default camera app. Preview is grainy and blur, but after taking the snap the photo comes out good. For better camera results try out the google camera mod app. :good:
Exactly. What I can see through the app is bugging me, the photo after shooting is alright. It'd be great if they find out a solution for this, it is tough to know when the object is focused with the current situation
Alright, thanks for the infos.
I thought it was only me but if its on every custom rom like that, then there is nothing I can do..
Just, @Shubho20
with google modded camera, is the preview okay? Or its still not as good as MIUI stock camera?
