Looks great! After I back up my apps I will try this one I loved CM7, but I missed some things from Sense, so I had to back to Sense after all. But now... Everything could change! And everything thanks to you.
But I have one question... Could you add here widget from Sense named "List" or "Notepad" or sth like this (I'm Polish, I don't know how it is named in english). This is very important to me, I'm using it all the time and this is one of reasons why I get back to Sense. I tried different apps, but nothing is like that one... I love it! Please, let me know
Good luck!
its beatiufl...
but it has much to do until you reach the desired

Hello! This is my first real post on xda and I though I'd share how to get a sense ui on your nook color.
Note: This is for CM7 Only! You can try on other ROMs, but I only run CM7.
OK, let's start.
First thing is first: The Launcher.
Google LP Sense UI. The site ends in .fr (sorry, can't post links)
OK, Install that. For the real feel, buy LP Pro. Your key should work here.
Now for the Wallpaper. On the market search "sense live wallpaper" Download the pro version.
Now to customize the wallpaper. Set it and configure the theme to "sense"
Did that?
Starting to make sense? (sorry for the bad pun.)
Time for the real makeover.
This theme was made by nhnt11, I take no credit.
google this: NTSense xda
click the download button Download NTSense.apk
If your favorite color is blue:
Download NTSense-blue.apk
Got that? Install the apk, reboot, and select it in theme choser.
There you go! Is it working?
Again, I take NO credit for ANY of the stuff here. All of it was made by good ans hard-working devs.
I just put it into a guide.
Note: The wallpaper takes up RAM. Be careful.
@pndo1 thanks for telling me.
Please upload screenshots if it works for u.
Credits!
@Linky3737 for the links.
@pndo1 for being one of by best friends
@pndo1 for the screen shots
@pndo1 for helping me getting my Nook Color up and stable.
@pndo1 for telling me about LP Sense UI.
@nhnt11 for the NTSense theme.
@Koehlers for the Live Wallpaper
@Rang3r for LP Sense UI
@Me for putting together the guide.
If you helped on this project but aren't mentioned here, go ahead and PM me! I'll put it up.
Links are here for lazy:
LP Sense UI: http://lpsense.allo-mobile.fr/lp-sense-ui-1-3/
Sense LWP: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.beautyfullivewallpaper2&feature=search_result
NTSense: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970459
I've been using NTSense for a while now and really like it. Didn't know about the other 2 though!
Thanks
thanks for links
Awesome!!!!
Hey iKingBlack! This is awesome. Also remember that the live wallpaper takes up precious RAM. The Nook Color is already not as smooth as other android devices. Also take note that the wallpaper can crash, and reapplying the Sense Wallpaper does not work. You will have to reboot.
Again,
Thanks!

the lp sense ui the fr link has bad (corrupted) downloads. so none of this works...

You can find it!
@luciferii
If you google around, I bet you could find the LP Sense UI apk (Android app package). Also on the Market if you want to buy it is the LP Sense Widget Packs for the latest LauncherPro Plus version (0.85). They aren't the full thing with the dock, but they do skin the widgets. Also, the downloads aren't corrupted. They are just not available. Not trying to be rude, just lettin ya know!

Hello all,
I've been running MIUI for a week now, and i'm really enjoying it. But the problem is i think there are missing some stuff.
MIUI Calendar
MIUI Weather (yes the dev version is fine, but my city isent in there backend)
MIUI Stopwatch/timer
So i decided to make one myself, in the MIUI Theme mindset (inspired by HTC Sense where I'm coming from)

Now the question is, what do you think about this. Is it any good for MIUI. Is it to much HTC Sense like. What should i change? Or is it awesome and go go create the widget (+ later the app itself?)
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Thats really cool.
I miss some widgets from HTC Sense with custom Launchers.
So, lets go

So what device or you on.
bump to this thread. I'm definitely missing this since switching to miui
Yes please! It's the one thing that I find disappointing about the MIUI widgets. Could you make it like the LPP calendar widget with switchable month/agenda view?
Like .
I Like This . Please I Need This .
Launcher pro
turn this into a launcher pro theme and it will take off.
point is we need this kind of calender widget IN MIUI

Yes, the transparent theme for it is pretty slick. I modded it myself until they came out with the skin. Theirs looks way better, despite its little quirks.
. . NS4G . . CM7 . .
OP, could you pm me or host the calandar widget you made? A
Thanks!

Same for me?
Okay, this is frustrating me! I have looked through out this forum and many others trying to find some kind of software that would allow one to change the default HTC clock widget. Back in my Windows Mobile days, there was software that allowed me to do such a thing! Sometimes just replace a few files here and there and bam, you got yourself a new clock with weather animations, etc. So WTF is up this Android? Yes I know some of you will tell me to go get some other widget like Beautiful Widgets or maybe even Fancy Widgets, but I don't like either! I really want a full or near full transparent clock with weather. So pretty much take the stock clock and make the background behind the digital numbers transparent so you can see more of your wallpaper! Would be nice if there was some transparent setting you could set for the default clock! Anyhow, this is what I kinda want!

This what mine looks like!
Now I know this can be done! Semi transparent, but the numbers still have color behind them!
This is from a Windows Mobile setup, but this is pretty much what I am asking for!

Hey,
Just to let some know, I am looking into creating a basic Honeycomb theme in Sense to bring the vanilla experience into our tablets. Hopefully there is some interest from others to see a basic AOSP/vanilla Honeycomb theme.
I think I have all or most of the files, I'm borrowing/taking material of vanilla Honeycomb icons from the framework files of the Xoom and Iconia A100, although initially this feels like a challenging task. There are 1,000+ icons in the drawable-mdpi directory for those, while the sense framework has an additional 2,000+ icons.
The good news is that every icon should be available already in the apk packages, so it's just a matter of simple replacing a good amount of the 1-2k files, so no graphics editing should really be done.
The bad news is that Sense themed things differently, such as the rounded corners on menu selection. I think this is hard coded into the sense experience, but I'm not fully sure how to go about correcting it.
Here are some conceptual images and the problems I'm talking about:
Conceptual home screen:

Likewise - this would be awesome!
cant wait to see this is done ...good luck man ...love aosp roms ..themes anything
IF you already have work on this AOSP theme, that rom needs some more AOSP themeing =]
Remember to backup below files if you want to go back!
Anyway, as of today for basics this is possible now with what we have. You just need 4 files:
Launcher2.apk from google HC 3.2 api13
Gallery.apk from google HC 3.2 api13
SystemUI.apk from DeSensified Flyer
framework-res.apk from DeSensified Flyer
It's missing the HC color theme in settings, that is one downside.

Yeah, we need to figure out how to theme the settings, default Sense is a headache. I wonder if it's easier to build an AOSP HC build to achieve stock look without having to look what sense changed or change it back...
I'm going to look into themeing a skin and see how that goes. I'd believe that would be easiest.

Hope this hasn't already been asked, I searched and found nothing.
After installing HC on my View, I installed ADW launcher as I like it more then stock sense but I lose pretty much all the good stuff at the top like the google search etc, anyone know a way to get all that back while keeping ADW going?
I enclosed a screenshot of what it looks like currently.

Nobody else is using HC+ADW launcher on their View and missing the google search bar up there??
???
just put the google search widget on the screen.
Kinda sucks to have to use up screen space for the widget when the bar at the top has it built in, well, when your not using ADW launcher
Well yes, but its part of the HTC sense launcher, so not available on other launchers. At least ADW lets you resize it.
Ah ok, that makes sense then (no pun intended)
I was under the impression that the stuff at the top was part of HC not sense, thanks for the clarification.
That stuff is a part of honeycomb's launcher, and thus is a part of sense's launcher. I tried to use ADW Ex myself on the stock rom... Found it laggy and annoying that widgets didn't resize properly when autorotate was on. Switched to the desensed view rom and the stock launcher and I am much happier.
Only thing I miss from ADW is that some widgets are not scrollable, and there's not as much flexibility with screen real estate because you can't edit the grid size. Of course that's why it had problems rotating so it's a fair trade imo.

Not a fan of ADW on the Flyer. Can't get the widgets centered nor resized like I want to.

Yea the grid control is one of the things I really love about ADW and I just hate all the overhead of sense, gonna try the de-sensed rom today with the stock launcher and see how that looks/feels, thanks!
