[Q] Migrate to CheckROM Revolution

Hi, I need some help here.
I come from LeoMar Revolution 2.6 and I want to migrate to CheckROM Revolution.
My question is, can I do that without full wipe all of my data ?
I figure since LeoMar is one of the maker, I don't have to full wipe it.
Do you really have to full wipe it or can I do that by just flashing it with CheckROM Revolution ?
Thx for answering.

Yeah, I strongly recommend you to full wipe! Just use titanium backup, shouldn't be a big deal. Anyway, what you CAN do is backup your system settings with the kitchen app, you should ask in that thread though.

Okay then.
Well, if it doesn't have to be full wiped it's easier right ? LOL.
I can't post in the thread cause I (sadly) just have two post including this and the minimum post is ten if I want to post there.
So, I asked here.
Thank you very much for answering.

Steps to go from ICS to GB -custom ROM's

Hi there!
As i have try to find info about downgrading ROM's with no success. (It's big forum indeed).
I have installed ICS XXLPH. Rooted and CWM-ed with Chainfire kernel.
If i want to install custom GB ROM's with CWM are there some precautions that has to be taken prior to go from ICS to GB?
Thanks a lot!
Brgds,
M.
You can just flash immediately from CWM with no problems, there are no actual precautions. However, you will need to wipe all of your data, cache and dalvik COMPLETELY before flashing because any ICS data will not be compatible with GB (otherwise, you'll just have non-stop crashing and force close issues)
Step 1 - use the search button

I DID!!!! But haven't found what i was looking for ( Thanks!
Reboot into cwm, wipe everything (data, cache, dalvik), flash zip - rom and reboot.

Use Odin and flash a rom(2.3.6) which have bootlader for example XWKK5.

CWM does backup kernels, but not modems.

Hey mate maybe you should read this post 1st before you delete something on your S2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125282
Cheers
Here & also Stickies.
You're going to have to do a lot of reading/learning. There are no shortcuts, taking shortcuts & not reading/learning leads to bricked phones.
i still didn't get answer to my first question do i need to delete all data on my phone to flash a new ROM??
If your on stock rom then no you don't.
i don't have any rom flashed now, but i'm thinking of miui or cyanogen, do i need to wipe all data or cache for this roms??
Follow whatever instructions these roms have to the letter & you should be fine. It isn't a case of do X regardless of whatever rom you're installing. Some roms have specific instructions.
Yea but its better when you always make a full wipe everytime you change your rom to minimize FCs (errors) but dont forget to back up all your datas and apps

There is no automatic update, you need to download 27.2 and flash it.

Ok, Thanks for the answer
Does that apply to all roms? For example Cyanogenmod or Checkrom EvoHD ?
I´ve been thinking about trying them anywayz so this might be a fine excuse to do so
Kinda been trying to way them up against each other but not found enough about them to be able to decide...

you can install it over 27.1 because it's no-wipe rom.
but if the rom says that you need to Full wipe your device, you need to factory reset your phone to be able to flash full wipe rom.just nerdy words, hope this helps.
