go to options-apps , and search for apps who have a button to move them to the sd-card.

Not sure if this is the right thread or not but my 14yr old autistic son is having problems with his lg optimus l3 and I am hoping someone may be able to help me help him sort it...
For some reason his phone is throwing an error 401 message at him everytime he tries to do something... he also has the low disk space/memory symbol at the top of his screen.
He has deleted most of his apps and cleared caches etc but hes getting nowhere. I tried looking at it for him yesterday but no joy he ant even download antivirus software due to lack of space xx money is non existant so I cant buy him another phone or pay to get it fixed :'( xx hope someone can help please xx xx

After you get root download Link2SD from Google Play and you need to make another partition on your Sd Card (ext 2 format) then you can link any application to sd card. (search on google on how to make another partition and how to use Link2SD). Good luck.

I am an Android rookie, but i am trying to learn more and more each day.
I bought recently a HTC Hero from optimus operator (Portugal) - Orange - and it came with 1.5 version of the OS. There is original 2.1 version but not for my operator.
I already made an goldcard for it, removed simlock, and rooted (do i think is not ok because installed titanium backup pro and i try to have root acess - allow on SU - and i got an error from the app, saying it had not root acess) but now i would like to know step by step what to do?
what rom (original and generic) should i install to have 2.1?
How to do it, with goldcard inside cellphone?
It is possible to go back?
I have read in Q&A that some orange phones, whem the debranding is done, loose the network due to some radio network imcompabilities... how can i know if that is or is not my case?
I would be greatful for all the help someone could give me.

You don't need the goldcard anymore if you have rooted your device. If you did and you also have a recovery flashed (i prefer amon RA recovery) you should do a nandroid backup like tfn said and then you can flash any rom you want .. you have to try different roms to get the best for you i think but you should try cronos 2.2, villain 13 or elelinux.

and a get the "#" sign instead of the "$". so i shoukd have the device rooted.
But i installed titanium backup pro (think version is 3.7.6)... run allow root acess ... and the i receive the message that the software can not have root acess and it needs it to run without errors .... so rooted or not rooted?
is there another way to test without damaging phone?
I prefer the "original" HTC roms instead of the mooded ones, i think they should be more reliable.
Found out the radio on my phone is 63.18.55.06FU_6.35.07.08 ... is it compatible with the other HTC roms, or it should be changed ... and in that case is it compatible with the phone itself?

Eu também comprei um Hero da Optimus. Mas ao contrário de ti paguei pelo unlock code no site www.unlocking.com (12€). Consegui desbloquear o bicho e depois quis remover o 1.5 pois além de limitado é mais lento que as versões 2.x
Assim usei o que me pareceu ser o melhor guia para rooting e para instalar a custom rom. É da autoria do btdag e foi extremamente fácil e rápido:

Portanto sacas esses ficheiros, pões na raiz do SD e executas os passos.
Depois disso fazes o wipe das caches e tal e passas a rom .zip para a raiz do SD card e através da recovery mandas flashar, 2 ou 3 minutos depois já tens a custom rom. Neste momento estou a usar a rom do robocik, a RCmix:

I also bought a Hero Optimus. But unlike you paid for the unlock code on the site www.unlocking.com (12 €). I managed to unlock the phone and wanted to remove the 1.5 as well as limited is slower than the 2.x versions
So I used what seemed to be the best guide to rooting and to install a custom rom. It is authored by btdag and was extremely easy and fast:

So bags these files, you put the root of the SD and run the steps.
After that you do wipe the caches and such raisins and the rom. Zip to the root of SD card and through the recovery mandas flashing, 2 or 3 minutes after you already have a custom rom. Right now I am using the rom robocik the RCmix:

NAND +ext backup error
Hy.
Trying to do a NAND+ Ext backup.
Installed recovery-RA-hero-v1.7.0.1.img ok, and rebooted in recovery.
But when i choose the backup choice, it starts ok , says performing backup, the "...." starts, but after 2 min or so it gives me an error, and says "Error : Run 'nandroid-mobile.sh' via adb!
PLEASE ADVISE.

But i dont manage ti get the GPS working - NDRIVE says No GPS for 20 min...!!!.

I still have the nazgulled rom based on the 2.1 oficial but with root. Works ok but camera seems a little fussy. Thinking of installing flykernel13 in orther to speedup phone. Also saw heroine++ rom 2.1 based and i am thinking of giving a try to this rom. Other seem to have some bugs or not being stable so no 2.3 rom.

I'm a bit disapointed: before I buy the phone, I take a look to online manual. The information there is 512Mb ROM and 512Mb RAM. But veryfing this with Titanium Backup, I have 230Mb for ROM and 170Mb for internal memory. So, we have a 400Mb ROM. And on TaskManager, it informs only 160Mb free RAM. With this, I believe the chip has 256Mb SHARED memory, and 160Mb free to user...
Yours phones have this issue, too? These specs (400Mb ROM and 160Mb RAM) ara TOO SMALL for a today cellphone!
Also, I don't have any CPU/GPU speed or model information yet... Do you have?

Ok, we know that. We´re searching for a "no logo" stock rom, that means an original rom without carrier modifications, no telcel, no iusacell, no claro, no vivo, etc ,etc. Some carriers just made few changes, the first sign of it is at startup there´s no carrier logo and only LG´s animation appear. This exist obviusly, but there´s still no links around.:good:
I've found in another forum, htcmania.com from user Fearf, the KDZ for D625 capable of root with towelroot v1.
Tried with my D625 VIvo and it works great!!

If understood, KDZ is the name of the LG firmware, it's a full stock ROM with kernel, modem, and etc.. is it? I have the same D625 Vivo (Brazil retail), and I've rooted it with Towel V1 apk. Recently LG launched an update for us, but I can't do it cause I rooted my device. So, I'd like to reflash my stock Vivo ROM, just to update. That KDZ posted by you, is the stock Vivo ROM? And I've just read how to flash.

I'm with the same problem. I'm using a rooted Vivo ROM and I can't update. But now with the news about Lollipop, I think is better to wait for the real update.

I flashed the ROM. It's a stock D625 rom ZTO, with no operator (carrier). The only difference is that don't have VIVO bloatware. But, I was very disappointed with this phone, after 10 minutes on, it becomes slow, terrible. I sold, and got a S4.

I understand that it is encrypted, but is there any procedure in which I can install a twrp for that version and from there get the files to break the pattern?
