Hello,
I was wondering what is the difference between the two sections of developmentof of the Galaxy S III
Galaxy S III Android Development
Galaxy S III Original Android Development
In the 2 sections there is ROM, mods, kernels, ...
Can someone enlighten me on this please ?
Original is devs who created ther own rom.
The other is devs who took other devs original roms and added there own mods, tweaks, themes etc

All it will say is as has been said development non original and original .
Original dev has produced something new .
Non original dev has used others work and just built a rom around some of those components .
jje
Ok thank you
Beacuse i come from HTC Desire and this distinction is not present

Someone I know is making a ROM, it's going to be core Android with no UI from the phone maker. So I told him I would look in on how to port it to work on HTC phones, it's not going to have Sense so would I just swap the kernels and tweak with the settings?

If I'm correct to port the swap the boot.img, swap 'usr' folder, and also swap the vold.fstab and apns-conf.xml? Or is it more complex then that?

I have a recovery.img for you if you want, then you could stop asking those stupid questions in every ROM thread.
@reider123 You are spoiling Nexus One users with so many choices of JB ROMS! I have flashed 4 ROMS in a day now... Only one missing is MIUI
BTW I'm not complaining...
Mobile data (mobile internet)
Not working ....
The internet logo just blinks
N the rom is just fabolus the speed is awsm....
Everything works fine...
(Except the mobile internet)

I think j00m was trying to be funny because Dok-do sounds like "dork do" in English. I don't think that he knows about the disputed island. And, personally, I think we all should focus on Android custom ROMs rather than political point of view. BTW, I am not Japanese nor Korean
@reider123: Kam-sa-ham-ni-da for the great ported ROMs
Is this cm 10 based, uhh so wanted to try this, but can't go through installing all my apps again,
This is not the end, Nexus One will be back.

Looking at the screen shots, the ROM seems like AOKP rather than CM10 based. I may be wrong Do a nand backup and then flash the ROM, if you don't like it, just do a nand restore.

ppl out here i had seen a rom on the foorum for "GT-S5830" and instantly wanted to have that for my"GT-S5830i" and started to search for rom porters and found some of them but the prob is when i tried to install the zip created by the rom porter i was stuck on the main boot screen and the phone wont boot for more than 30 mins than i had to flash stock firmware on the mob so is there any solution to this problem??
1. Post Questions in Q&A Section
2. You won't be able to port it if it's not based on CM7

He clearly said he was looking forward to port a ROM from s5830 which I precisely think is not Galaxy Y (Totoro)
Or you have solemnly assumed that I don't know that it's possible?
