I am running stock rom and uprooted.
What Apps have you installed since this started?
Anyone figured it out yet? It's happening to me now, every time I toggle it off, it'll switch itself back on a few minutes later.
I can't for the life of me figure out what's causing it and it's driving me nuts.

I use the stock kernel, just use Omega to have the last "stock" without bloat
Same, I have stock rooted generic UK, have applied the last 3 updates they released ota without factory resets.
I have a suspicion it could be minimalistic text widget or nfc task Launcher, any other people with the problem running them?

Could an app have permission to control wifi?
I am thing that it has to do with a app or even Google sync running in the background.

Yes, apps can have permission to control wifi, I've written a couple myself in my job.

I was on BLFB, I think it started when I updated to LG6, then updated to XXBLG8, and it stayed so had to factory reset.

Hi SGS3 friends,
i have a weird problem..
after i flashed my Samsung Galaxy S3 from MIUI 2.7.13 to MIUI 2.7.15 (galmod) i have set some samsung unice settings, like s-voice and so on.
as i wanted to test the functionality of samsungs unice settings for MIUI i changed some setting for the lockscreen, like the clock, weather and so on.
but now, i have the samsung touchwizz lockscreen and i cant reset to the MIUI lockscreen, which i prefer.
or maybe i dont find the correct settings.
even after reflashing (no wipe) no difference.
restoring my backup from last week would be my last try, but i would prefer something else.
can please somebody give me a hint, how to change the lockscreen to the MIUI ones?
thanks in advance!
Samsung Bloatware is the problem.
I believe its because of the Samsung Launcher "TouchWiz" which is somehow present in your System/App folder.
Just delete the same and check..

Afaik miui and touchwizz don`t mix. You can`t use samsung software on miui or cm9. Do a full wipe including system format and reflash miui.
Mate, tell me you've gone into the theme app......... this is where you customise each individual part of an miui theme including the lock screen.

The galaxy s3 miui is based on Samsung framework. Everything that works on the Sammy roms should work on this too.

Hi guys.
Ive never posted here before. Im a note owner but my wife has a S2.
She has her S2 completley stock. Never been rooted and never even had a official firmware flash via odin. Its only ever had 1 update via KIES from GB to ICS. She only uses it for facebook/ebay/calls and txts.
Just now its gone weird? It seems as though TW has started misbehaving? Like the status bar responds to touch and so does the lock screen but TW doesnt? Then it keeps rebooting?
Im clueless when it comes to the S2. Do you guys suffer from the brickbug as we note owners do? Does the S2 Emmc have a habit of frying itself as the notes does?
In short can anybody suggest a fix or shall she just call O2 and have them fix it?
Many thanks

That firmware is free of the emmc bug.
boot to recovery, (turn off your phone, hold volume up button + home button + power button, release the buttons as soon as the phone lights up)
wipe cache
reboot phone
next time use home button + power button or volume down button + power button to taken screenshot on a Galaxy device
Thankyou.
I tried that but its not improved the situation. The phone is responsive for a few seconds then soft reboots. Not a full reboot as it doesnt come up with the gt i9100 logo?
Im presume that it can be flashed with odin just the same as the note? I may have to resort to a factory reflash?

I don't think she performed a factory data reset after upgrading to ICS.
Please backup her data, and perform a factory data reset.
Ok.
I will try that.

I will have a tinker with it tomorrow.

Today i flashed official 4.1.2 XXLA Firmware of United Kingdom through KIES (thanks to the trick through which i forced the update, as 4.1.2 is not available in my country yet).
Overall functions and features are working flawlessly but i am having a bit of problem that whenever i open up my notification bar then the animation of shortcut icons (WLAN,GPS,Mobile Data, etc.) is not fluid and it gets worse when there is a list of available programs that have recently been installed or are currently being installed.
Is there a way to fix this ?
p.s. Below is the list of icons of which animation is really laggy

Try a factory reset...
Do a factory reset and set force 2D rendering and animations in dev options to .5 (or off). You will notice an increase in UI performance.
OP:
That screenshot is not 4.1.2 JellyBean. Its ICS 4.0.4.
factory reset
or clear launcher data if you want to save apps & data

That's what I thought - looks quite different to my JB notification panel, the clock particularly. Also, why is the phone's date in the screenshot from July last year?

Can't start tapatalk cause ""Directory is currently unavailable. It may be due to your carrier APN settings, or you have installed network altering software such as AdBlock" message
on ICS rom's worked fine but after update to JB i got problem. Same problem have on stock JB (france), and on Slim (witch I'm using)
I dont have any AdBlock app.
Tried every version of tapatalk out there and i have same problem. With and without card, pull out battery est... no luck
Intresting thing is that Convo works without problem and he is based on Tapatalk. Forum runner also working without problem
Is it possible that i have problem because i have i9100G, cause i know ppl with same carrier using tapatalk w/o problems ?

When I got this error, all I had to do was clear data of the Tapatalk app. Seems you've had a heap more trouble than that. Have you checked your APN settings? If there is a proxy in the APN you use, try deleting it (make a note of what it is first).
Tried deleting proxy but no luck

Solution as seen in pictures above for people is to check in Music Player/Menu/Settings/Music Menu/Music squarre.
