Help!! My SGS3 battery is not charging up. Its been an hour i have plugged in to the charger and battery life is degrading like anything. Drained from 29% to 18% in just one hour and in charging mode. Yes i am using the phone, browsing, Instagraming but the battery should not drain na.
Help.. What to do? My phone's rooted. Does that cause harm? :/

Try if it's working when you plug it to the PC, there have been reports (same issue as yours), but it still worked with the PC. But sry no other solution present AFAIK except warranty.

Why does my phone charge so slow? I am using orginal charger. And i left my phone overnight and the battery drop from 97% to 91%. I use bbs but only show alarmereceiver wake for 20m and whats causes it? And i use badass monitor and show kernel eating 70+% of the power. Any ideas guys? Using wanamite v12 + siyah kernel.

Check your charger on other device, or check if other charger will work properly. If not there could be something with your device. Is it heating while charging ?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
It heats when plug in and not heating after 10 min or so. I dunno why my battery is draining even though it was in deep sleep.

check ur batt, charger and also flash a stock rom an check if possible..
Hi.
I used Battery Calibration from google play exactly as instructed. Since then, my battery is charging REALLY slow, or not at all. When I use my fully charged galaxy after its charged overnight(connected to a charger) it shows 100%, and when I disconnect it, the battery drops... To lets say 92%. What can I do to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Charge it till you're sure it's 100%, turn off your phone, take out the battery for a minute, put it back in and turn your phone back on.

It's not possible to 'calibrate' an SGS2 battery.
Do what Donnie suggested, and if that doesn't help, flash a kernel like Siyah which enables you to reset the fuel gauge from ExTweaks/similar app (you can do it from command line as well, if you search the Siyah discussion thread you'll probably find the exact commands).
If neither of those things work, your battery is on the way out. Buy a new one.
My battery (original) drains even wen the phone is off. First i tought that my battery was broken. I bought a new accu (original) but i got the same results. After about 8 hours ive got 15% less juice and the phone was off. What could this be?

You probably did that but give this a try: remove the battery from your phone for a full minute, if you have a Volt meter at home see that the Volt is above 3.74V that mean you have above 19% battery.
put back the battery without the charger and try to open your phone, see if it turned on.
That just looks fried, never had issues with that batt?

Ever, i mean, before upgrading my android, u didn't
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Sounds fishy to me, I don't think JB leak can kill a batt.
Try another s2 battery and see what happens.
U can also charge it manually.
Sent from the little guy
So u say that is impossible to be able android problem?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Nothing is impossible; highly unlickly would be better suited.

U said smth about manual charging, how it is working?

Hi friend,
If u sure with your battery try to get external galaxy s2 battery charger and then try back... Good luck:fingers-crossed:
Has anyone had an issue charging their phone to 100%? My phone seems to get stuck at 99%.
I haven't noticed it but in the past with other devices, I could drain all the way down and charge up to full to fix.

Are you using the phone while charging?

I was at first, but I couldn't get it to fully charge even when it was powered off.

Well it takes a while when at 99%, but don't touch it while it's on and wait for it to top off. It's probably trickle charging at 99%.

I read here somewhere that from 99% to 100% took about 20-30mins. It could be a firmware thing or they can be doing what Apple is doing so you don't overcharge it.

It's possible, that's how long it takes for mine.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
I've had my one for three days now and I've charged it twice, the first time it took about three hours to charge and Ya it took a long time for it to go from 99-100 percent the second time it seemed to go quicker...just what I've experienced.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Mine stops charging at 90%. Its weird.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
It charges and discharges to conserve the life on the battery. If the phone was kept on a 100% charge the whole time then that would decrease the life of your battery drastically.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
I wouldn't worry about it. It's better to keep it at less than 100%. If there was a manual settings threshold, I would keep them as start charging when below 70% and stop at 90%. This is my battery charge threshold setting on my Thinkpad X230T laptop.
Hi All,
I have an odd battery problem. My S3 will die and at times when I plug the charger in and the Battery Charging Screen comes up, It shows the battery has more than 50% life. If I unplug the charger and use it, the battery lasts maybe an extra hour but once it reaches about 6% the screen starts flickering and then the mobile network disconnects. I'm sure this is due to low power from the battery.
Any way for me to fix this or to ensure my phone is displaying the correct battery percentage?
See attachment.
Test new battery. If its not charging while you're using it while plugged in then you have a faulty battery. Don't let the power drop so it shuts down. Try and lend a battery from a friend and test it.
I have the same problem with my phone. Is it possible that this problem is caused by the custom roms we are using? What do u think? :/

How old is the battery. Power problems nearly always end in an old battery that just needs replacing
Thanks
i have same issue ...

OK well these battery's don't last forever. First thing I would do is ask a friend to lend one and test it for 24hrs. Or just buy one
