Battery "problem" - Motorola Droid RAZR

Please take a look at this strange use of my battery.
it drops from 80% to 70% in 1ms .... 10% instantameamente simply get lost.
I'm using 4.0.4 ICS by motorola no custom rom.

Recalibrate yor battery.
I use this proccess:
0. Install Bootmenu or something that can remove battery stats
1. Use all battery and wait the phone shutdown
2. charge it to 100% and WAIT 1-2h more (The charger "auto" disconnects to avoid damage)
3. Enter bootmenu and wipe battery stats
4. Use the phone normally (try to use complete charger cycles)
4a. The % of the battery will be better after some cycles
Good luck!

It's okay man. There's no problem with your battery.
The ics graphic only presents a 10% increments discharge status.
If you razr went from 80% to 79% you'll get as a 80% to 70% representation in graphis. You're getting a nice battery life anyway.
Cheers

Battery calibration needed after installing new kernel?

Is it necessary to calibrate after flashing a new kernel?
Not really. I found my battery life is better after I flashed the new voodoo kernel by jt. If you do have some bad battery life, it would be suggested you do calibrate your battery.
how do you calibrate your battery also i notice after i charge my battery all nite the next morning i start off with either 99 or 98 percent any reason why???
Calibration of the battery isn't really required if you flash at 100% each time.

This is expected behavior designed to protect the life of your battery. basically what happens is your phone will charge to 100%. It's not good for a li-on battery to stay at that stress level so the phone will then allow the battery to discharge to 95%. Once it hits 95% you will start charging back up to 100% and the process will repeat. If the phone didn't do this the battery would degrade much more rapidly.

[Q] What should your battery voltage be? "CM7 Battery Info"

Hi,
The battery voltage (located in: CM7 spare parts >battery information) on my galaxy sii is reading between 3646 and 3648. First, I'm not sure if that is low, or if it is necessarily good or bad. I just can't seem to find an answer for this anywhere on the Internet, so I made started this thread.
Second, I was wondering what everyone else's battery voltage reading was on their galaxy s2.
Oh, and I also just did a battery calibration. ... If you didn't watch the video, Then I'll fill you in. I wiped my battery stats through recovery mode, then I let my phone drain its battery. BUT, in the process, my phone crashed (the screen froze) at around 1-5%. So I left it overnight and it eventually died. Then I plugged it in and left it till it fully charged to 100%. SO i was wondering if that could have messed up my battery voltage (the crash)?
Sorry if this was hard to understand... But I hope someone out there can help me with battery voltages! ><
J
Never drain battery to zero. Read plenty of users with different phones and ROM having issues in the past after draining to zero.
Should be approx 4200mV at 100% (approx 3500mV at zero).
1. I just drain to 1-2% (>3510mV) to be safe.
2. Charge uninterrupted to 100% and mA stops actual charging at approx 4200mV. As you will see, battery continues to charge for a time (mV increases) after 100% is reached.
3. Immediately delete battery stats. I use app Battery Monitor Widget to monitor current mA & delete without restarting, give SU permission (phone uses power to boot into CWM, and therefore not accurate at time of delete with this method).
4. Immediately unplug.
Done.

Reboot battery % drop and voice call drain!

Can anyone tell me why my phone is draining nearly 1% charge per 90seconds of voice call? That means 30minutes of call would drop battery nearly 17-20%:-((((
Another problem I'm recent facing is that if I reboot the phone it drops about 30-40% of battery! I'm using a cheap dock charger(with extra batteries) I bought from ebay. My original charger cable is broken(shame on Samsung low class charge and headphones, even cheapest Android phones come with higher class accessories). Is it possible that this can damage my battery? BTW I'm using Senstyle rom by Dynamic and the default Siyah kernel and modem.

Calibrate your battery.
1) Switch off your phone
2) Charge it till it shows 100%
3) As soon as it reaches 100% remove cable and battery.
4) Let the battery rest for about 2 mins
5) Put it back and power on.
6) If it shows anything less than 100% repeat the procedure.
If that does not work, most likely your battery is borked up. Try with a spare battery
and please use original accessories as much as possible.Third party chargers might not provide the enough power to recharge the battery.
Also flash XXKI4 modem, I've got best battery life with that modem.

Thanks. After installing latest speedmod kernel things are way better than before.

With speedmod battery life is great but the reboot battery drop still exist. Strange thing is that after reboot battery % starts to increase automatically. About half an hour ago I rebooted the phone. Before reboot battery was 54% and after reboot it straight away dropped to 13%. Now after little usage I've 22%. I'll try to recalibrate the battery again. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Drain all battery and charge it from zero. Let it be fully charged before starting it. If you run CWM you can wipe battery state.
Your question is in wrong section in the forum. Try starting the thread in General.
Cheers
+1 this -- and some additional detail...
Wiping battery stats does NOT improve actual battery life. If done properly, and coupled with a calibration cycle, it can increase the accuracy with which your battery reports its current charge. Ideal process is as follows..
Charge to 100%
Reboot into CWM
wipe battery stats under" advanced"
Reboot
Charge back to 100%
Let it DIE (go to 0%) from normal use, DO NOT charge it during the cycle
Re-charge to 100% and you're all recalibrated.
From the sound of it, don't be surprised if your phone sits at 5% for hours. After the calibration, your battery history should be a relatively smooth, downward sloping curve.

Check Settings>Battery Information>Battery Usage and see if a process named RILD is using a high percentage of your battery usage. That process - a very necessary Motorola radio daemon - is wreaking some havoc by causing very rapid battery discharge and also preventing normal charging.
No solution for you but thought I would let you know before you try too many different "solutions" needlessly.
Thanks!

[Q] Wipe Battery Stats

I had wiped battery stats with clockwork recovery since 2 months
I’m facing problem with battery calibration, I tried many application to calibrate the battery but till now the battery will not charge to 100% even it is connected to the charger for 10 hours
After charging it for around 10 hours it appears 62% and when I reboot the phone it is coming 97% and after 10 minutes it is appears 100%
Is there any idea how to calibrate the battery and fix that problem?
The method I use would be as follows:-
1) Discharge your battery till your phone turns off.
2) Charge it for about 6 hours.
3) Go into Clockwork Recovery to clear battery stats.
Your battery should be close to what you expect it to be.

Contrary to what many people seem to believe, your battery stats do NOT in any way influence the displayed battery percentage indicated by the phone. Never "calibrate" your battery by wiping battery stats.
The problem the OP is experiencing is an indication of a hardware problem with either the phone or (more likely) the battery.
Are you using an OEM battery?
Are you using an OEM battery?
yes, I'm using the original HTC battery.
