Hello world !!!
I've created a project of a new kind : The RecoverX Project
The goal of this project is to gather ALL the recoveries for ALL android devices in ONE tool which install them on the devices. RecoverX is coded in C++ thanks to QtSDK and allow to install a recovery on more than 150 different devices !!!
You just have to select your device and the recovery, click "Install" and RecoverX does the rest !!! It's that simple
This program require different prerequesties, depending of your device
- Wether you need an unlocked bootloader to flash the recovery partition (and fastboot drivers on your PC)
- Wether you need root access and usb debugging activated (if busybox is not installed, RecoverX will ask you the permission to install it).
This program have been published on XDA News : Here
Here is the list of supported devices :
Finally, a small preview
Awesome !!! Where is the download link ???
Here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1773227
Nice dude, but what mroe futures does it have besides the Flashtool from Bin4ry and Adroxyde? Is it just the Gui?
But really appreciate - nice! Best for people who are new to flashing and stuff!
One-click- tools FTW!
Nice! I'll test it later... Looks really to use
Thanks guys !!!
Ok guys, in my next version, I will add Xperia Ion CWM recovery and many improvements because I'm preparing a big project !!! Stay tuned !!!

This is just a recovery installer. So nothing else interesting here. Good idea though, if only we have a lot of choices of recovery, so we might need this.
Hey, I never said the program was finished !!! The project had already evolved a lot since the initial release and will continue to evolving a lot because I'm preparing big updates !!!
And if you read the post, you already have the choice between xRecovery and CWM for some devices...
Please, consider my work,
Thank you
Post updated with a new Icon !!!
Enjoy !!!

Dont wont it to sound bad, but why are u bother with this app? FlashToool is very useful so theres no need to create any thing else.
Maybe U should contribute with Bin4ry and Androxyde on their work.
One more thing FlashTool can be used on Windows and Linux so for developers its more interesting.
But wait to see next improvements which are coming soon... I never said the project was finished...
And Flashtool isn't coded in C++
Hi bro .... your recovery show ..... device not connected .....
even I connected my x10 with computer
any solution?
please
Have you activated USB debugging in "Settings" and have your phone drivers correctly installed on your computer ???
RecoverX works for my device ! Thanks !
The RecoverX project is now open to all android devices and all recoveries !!!
See the first post for details
Enjoy

How is the flashing tools work with windows VISTA? Thanks,
As far as I know, you cannot flash a ROM with vista. If I had vista on my PC, I would try to work out why, but as of yet it can't be done.
realy good app thanks
Thanks man for your renew way to flash
This is a really good initiative!
How do we get a moderator to "Sticky" it (and some others too)? ANd perhaps it is time to "unsticky" some other threads.
I'm currently working on an update that will backup pim.vol brfefore the update and restore it afterwards. I will if wanted extend this to my documents etc.
really good tools.
It should be sticky..

The Windows Phone Power Tools are a natural extension to the developer tools that come with the Windows Phone SDK. Instead of allowing you to only install developer xaps the Power Tools let you test update scenarios by allowing you to update an existing developer app. Instead of having to step through the IsolatedStorage file browser on the command line, the Power Tools provide a GUI to allow you to interact with your applications.

It works by official Mango?
thanks jack. keep us posted
It does work with mango but once again, we can no longer see marketplace app isolated storage. This is nothing to do with this program, its something different with mango and its a real pain in the arse. Gonna have to dodgy download apps that i have paid for on this very phone to side load them to allow me to backup and restore that apps location, crazy days!
oh it doesnt yet replace GUIDs with propper names, thats a tad enoying
XAP sending etc is fine, just needs some work on the file browser side.
post your bugs hear so the dev can fix them!
also ask him to include .cab file extentions
and any other sugjestions anyone might have!
i seriosly thought my post had failed untill someone sead it didnt work!
and mine did then i looked at the relese date!
also thare is a win8 emu on that site thats worth checking out!
its called newgen! and to be quite frank im not likeing windows 8 or newgen
and i personaly think the windows 7 phone os needs some serious inprovment!
so hear i am!
ps: i have sean a simeler theme posted but i think the windows phone 7 os & win8 need transperent live tiles not thease fugly colored ones!
I spoke with xbox mod and have his theme mod riped apart and made some drastic inprovments with colors and live tiles but what i realy need is a defaut live tiles icon set and i dont know ware to find them?
xboxmod says thare in some dll but i dont know ware i just need to get my hands on the default stuff so i can make some drastic inprovments!
i have 10 years photoshop exp and 8 years exp in 3ds max!
time is aginst me!
i might be new hear but i was not born yesterday hence 72380!!!
im the other half of a coders brean wares my coder???

A small tool I made to flash .img files through fastboot easily and quickly, without the need to type in commands manually. Originally I only made it for personal use but I decided to release it here. Someone might find this useful.
Q: FlashTool has this feature. Why bother?
A: Just because I can. Use whichever you prefer.

The easiest way to root a Xperia mobile is as following
First unlock bootloader that you can do using official Sony site
Then instal Flashtool from androxide's official site
Then instal it on your PC . Go to c drive of your PC, then you will see a folder named Flashtool there you will see a folder named drivers instal drivers of Xperia mini x10 ( as it is same as your live with Walkman)
Download rage kernel from net its a custom kernel which has CWM and su binaries .copy it to your desktop
Now connect your mobile in your PC with holding volume up button a blue led will glow showing your mobile in fastboot mode. If it is win 7 it will install ADB drivers by itself if it is win xp then download PDA net on PC and install it it has ADB drivers.
Now after all this the rooting is very easy it won't result in bricking as it is the safest method
Connecting you phone in fastboot mode click open Flashtool and then click flash icon on top left select fastboot mode then another page will open select kernel to flash . Browse kernel it will be boot.img which you have kept on desktop select and Flashtool will automatically instal it in your device. Check the log. It will say reboot your device. Then take it out and start tour phone. It will show blue led after boot press volume up or down you will see cwm recovery.
Means you have rooted phone

Doesn't seem to be working for me... I'm updated to the newest build (KTU84Q) and also version (XNPH44S). Every time I try to do a backup of my apps+data, it says "waiting to reboot..", but phone doesn't reboot, then it goes straight to "waiting for device..", then just hangs there and eventually times out. I have MTP disabled, and USB debugging enabled... any one know what could be the reason?
Edit:
I post the question in Q&A thread.
Woooo! It's great! Thanks
Finally !!! Bacon made one for you! thks
Thanks for this!
Been using your toolkit for my Nexus 7 and just love it, even donated for some beer
I donated just to show my appreciation for porting this kit to the OPO. There are other OPO kits but they are pretty basic compared to this kit. I plan to continue to support the developer and I hope this kit will be around for future OPO models as released.
I have subscription this thread because I 'm very interesting to its development
I Don't undestand why a lot of posts are unnecessary like "thanks" "ohhh" "amazing". Is this useful for the tool or only for incremental the own posts? This unnecessary post hide questions and informations.
I'm not a moderator here, so If they accept it no problem.
Awesome...
Will download & let know how this works for our ONE

Because a product like this requires an incredible amount of time and dedication by the developer and will likely (and hopefully) go on for a long time to come. It's important to show both verbal and financial appreciation if you want the developer to remain in the game.
