Hey guys how ya doin?
A friend of mine has this sony xperia mini pro ..
and for some unknown reason it's displaying question mark on the battery icon on the status bar..
i used to have an x8 .. and never experienced such problem..
so i'd appreciate it if u tell me what in hell this is..
One other thing...
I guess it's refusing to charge up..
i put it on the charger for over 2 hours.. and still ain't gonna charge up..
Also..
The LED keeps blinking red all the time it's on the charger..
and sometimes when the phone goes on.. *plugged in on charger* .. after like a couple of minutes the screen goes off..
Or maybe the whole phone goes off..
Please help..
....................
[EDIT] .. I have just realized that the phone isn't charging at all .. even when plugged in to the charger ..
i have the original charger but using another cable.. also tried to use another charger (nokia charger)
the led still go on RED.. but no charge up at all..
The F**k?
Repair the phone using pc companion or Sony update service..
Sent from my SK17i using XDA App
really..?? i told u the phone aint charging up.. and for the software update or using either one of what you've mentioned above.. the battery supposed to be <50 percent..
how am i supposed to do what u want me to do..
1.reboot the phone with charger connected and give feedback.......
2.try charging the phone while it turn off and give feedback.....
3.try using different charger and give feedback......
4.try using different battery and give feedback......
5.connect the phone to pc, see if the pc can detect the phone and give feeback....
if all the step give you the same problem then it confirm that it is the usb port/hardware problem....

Because I tried repair my phone at 10% battery it still worked for me..
Or use an external charger to charge the battery directly ..after that repair using Sony update service
Sent from my SK17i using XDA App
1 : didn't work.. still the same
2 : didn't work either ..
3 .. did use another charger .. didn't work..
4 : another battery is not available at this time..
5: the phone has been detected.. i can explore the SD card.. but still the charging process is pretty much as ****ed up as it was.. :/

PLSSSSS HELP!!! :'(
Always start with "repair software" via SEUS or PC Companion. Both can be found on Sony Ericsson website.
If it's hardware related, you're going to have to send it for repair.
Agree whit agent first try that if it doesnt work its 100% hardware....

I agree as well.
But before all that....did you try power cycling?
Power off..pull battery..wait for it....put battery back in and turn on.
Oh and make sure your not muted.

hi to all,my xperia x10 yesterday..dead!!i turn off night before and the next morning when i turn on it i see only three red led
mofo82.... seriously? This has happened to probably every x10 user in the world atleast once.... try the right sub-forum next time.
To solve your problem:
1. Take out the battery.
2. Put in the charger into the phone.
3. Put the battery back into the phone.
4. Wait for a minute and your phone should turn on with a battery image which means that the phone is charging...
dear a2ha,before to open this thread i read a lot every problem and i try your solution but not work....
Try reflash your rom with flashtool.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
I think that you Rom is down .Since battery charging is rom-dependant on the x10 ,you have to reflash it with SEUS/PC Compagnon or Flashtool but fatally the problem will come up again . I am encountering the same problem right now .
IF the rom was working it will have to be able to load the charging mode off-line no need to turn the phone on.
After fully charging the phone you can repair it if that is the case, but red led as far as i know only means no battery.
White led means problems some times.

connect the charger and leave it for an hour or two...!! if it still doesn't charge in offline mode or switch on... then you might have to get your battery tested!!

Try remove your battery and connect your phone to charger. Start charging it. Then, put the battery back and charge them for few ten minutes. Then try power on ur phone again. This case quite similar to "Red Light of death" case. Hope helps.

If charging didnt helped then you have a hard brick( red light blinking and not detected by pc anymore) then repair its trim area and semcboot contact alejandrissimo for that he'll do it for free. Btw it requires setool( which requires setoolbox to run on pc) to unbrick it .

did you find the solution???? if YES. please tell me!!!!!!!!!!
if NO. Good Luck then
I had that happened yesterday. What i do is:
1) get stock gb rom ftf for flashtool
2) relocked bootloader if unlocked
3) charge the phone for one-2 hours
4) wait until able to use flashmode..flashing
5) turn it on for first boot and charge it.
It happens due unstable Kernel/ROM corrupted or Battery absolute 0% which unable to boot it up. Hope my case helps.

If it blinks red led 3 times that means the battery is 0%. Try charging it with a wall charger and then try. If it still doesn't work then I think the battery is fully discharged. In this case you need a new battery.

My phone DIDN'T respond.. my notification LED was flashing (Which means that my phone wasnt dead.. I pulled out the battery and put it back in right away.. My phone didnt boot up.. :crying: i pulled out my battery a couple more times thinking that it was a lose battery fault or something but no.. A few hours later i tried searching online for help.. Not even fastboot mode.. When i connect my phone to a USB cable.. the notification LED gives out a red light and after 10-15 mins it goes off.. Its been almost a week now.. And Yes i've unlocked my Bootloader and rooter my XPERIA U. If you guys know something that i could do to get my phone back up and running again.. please tell me.. thanks in advance

I was using Unofficial_StockJB_XU_V6 :good:
I tried charging via a wall charger for about 7 hours now :silly:
i'll try to charge with a USB charger connected to my pc.. Fingers crossed.. BTW
How long should i charge it i mean.. Do i have to wait for a sign?
(Like, the red charging light from the notificaton LED)
(the Red LED just turns on when i plug in the Wall/ USB charger and goes off after 10-15 mins)
or would the phone turn on by itself?

Remove the battery and leave it that way for an hour and then press and hold the power button for 60 seconds (without the battery)
and then insert the battery and try to enter the flashmode and report you might get it if it is not hardbrick.
prepare the stock rom in flashtool before you try to enter the flashmode in your phone....:good:
Hi guys, I am facing a problem regarding charging. Sometimes when I connect my phone to charger, it not used to charge up my phone. The phone itself shows that its being charged but the charge starts to reduce while charging and then turns off. When i reboot after 30 minutes, it shows 1 or 2% charge and then again after sometimes get switched off. Several times I have faced this isuue and the main problem is this issue wont happen every time, so I cant go to service centre too. If I ask for replacement, they will ask me to show the problem but if the problem vanish, they wont do anything. So if anyone else faced this issue and have any solution please help me. Thanks.

Hi,
I've actually faced a similar issue (perhaps not the same). It was the very first time I bought the phone, to many charging troubles. The phone on connected didn't show charging or sometimes say "Not Charging". I had to turn off the phone and get it somehow to charging mode left it around half an hour - then after some tantrums the phone once turns on - displayed charging like 12% already. Thereon the charging went OK. So perhaps there is some issue with the OS's calibration with battery.
Once I allow the phone to go less than 10% with dual sim on - the problems re-appear. Most probably, on initial usage - allow battery to completely Charge and then discharge for 3-5 times then the charging woes dwindle away. Hope this helps. Cheers!

The prob is in charger. May be there is some loose connection in the charger itself.. simply go to service centre for a replacement of ur charger.. In my case the phone is charging as usuall with an another charger..
Sent from my GT-I8552 using Tapatalk
There are two reasons why this happens one is the problem with the firmware of the phone, and the other with the charger, u use any other charger from samsung for a period and see the problem is still there. If this persists, run to service centre and ask them to reinstall/flash your ROM.
Probably it will be with the charger, and when the SC personnel checks they wont agree with you for a problem in the charger. Better you check it with another charger.. :good:

It was charger peoblem.. Samsung SC personnel was denying that its a problem and even harassed me. Next day I went their with proof of my problem and they told the problem is in data cable part and as my phonr is 4months old, I wont get warranty.. Next day i called samsung call centre and confirmed myself about the warranty and abused the manager of that SC for telling me lie and then he replaced the full charger set without saying a single word..
