It was noted in another thread that you might have to shut the tablet off, connect the USB keyboard/mouse, then turn the tablet back on. It should work then.
Just got a Galaxy S3 a few days ago, everything was going fine. Transferring music to my phone from my MacBook Pro using Android File Transfer. Half way through the app stops transferring and I have to force quit on my laptop. Now when I reattach my usb cable I get the following message: "No Android device found Please connect your Android device with a USB cable to get started" My cable is connected, my phone is charging, but the phone is not showing that it is connected (no usb in notifications, can't choose between MTP/PTP...) So I can't continue to transfer my music I restarted both my MacBook Pro and phone. I tried to see if its my phone by connecting to my dock in my car and everything works fine, my Car Home Ultra app opens and works fine. HELP please. How can I get my phone to recognize my cpu via USB? It was working fine, but now nothing other than charging. I read on another thread too toggle USB debugging in developer options, tried both to no avail. Help please, I am an Android noob.
Hello there,
I plug in a USB to my Tab (p7510 , stock ICS 4.0.4) to listen to music located on my USB using the Samsung USB connector. After I unplug both usb and connector, I see under battery in settings that my device is constantly awake. Does anyone know the reason for this and how to solve it? Is it something to do with Mediaserver (it has a use detail of stay awake)?
Thank You
Michael
OK, I know this is a very basic question, but with Google I can't find a specific answer.
When I go to connect my S4 to my computer via a USB hub, the computer doesn't see the phone at all. However, if I disconnect the hub from the computer and plug the S4 directly into the same USB port on my computer that the hub was connected to, it works (i.e. the computer sees the phone).
I know the first thought is that the hub is bad, but I can plug in a thumb drive to the USB hub and the computer sees it fine.
FWIW - it's not an externally powered USB hub - it only plugs into the USB port on the back of my computer. I don't know if that has anything to do with it (although I still wouldn't understand why everything works fine going direct from the phone to the USB port on my computer).
Thanks in advance...
Hi everyone I'm Valerio, an Italian guy.
So sorry for my bad english in advance.
I have one big problem with my Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML 4gb Ram 64gb Hdd.
When I try to connect my phone to my Windows 7 Pc by Usb, it still charging. No notification alert appears on phone and also on pc start bar.
It is on charge and stop (like traditional wall battery charge).
I've already turn on usb debugging, mtp transfer allowed and tried different usb cables but nothing change.
Same thing when I try to use OTG cable. When I try to connect devices like usb storage or printer or whatelse, my phone recognize anything.
P.s. Net frameworks 4.62 and Windows Media Player 15 already installed on pc.
Anybody can help me? Thanks a lot.
