All of the jb ROMs are good. There has been a lot of people flashing helly bean. It is basically a continuation of the port dev'ed by Der Teufel, he devs the devil kernel. My suggestion is test them all.

I'm using Jellybro and GPS is about as good as it's ever been for my Vibe. Just "meh." If I open Maps and let it settle for a bit it will lock. Then I can go into Endomondo or Navigation or whatever. But if I go straight to Endomondo and try to do my route it won't really ever lock.

I only get Galasy S settings to open with Devil kernel. The Devil kernel 103 messed up my modem so I had to refash KB5 after flashing Devil. The brightness slider option (slide finger across notification area) works, but is kinda glitchy sometimes. But overall it is the most stable ROM I've ever flashed - no force closes, etc.
JB development has come a long way.
I was surprised how fast we've got JB on our Vib. Thanks to the devs for their never ending support.
As per my experience JB is buggy at best. But i think its good since none of the devs are saying they are out of alpha release already.
JB GPS is working intermittently on sygic gps app but it doesnt work at all when i switch to google nav.
I dont have this problem on ICS i can just switch to sygic or google without a problem.
Browsing is laggy. Battery life is not that good.
But it's very tolerable. (Depends really on your tolerance level)
But again development is on its early stage, for sure the best is here to come.
Been flashing JB for the last 2 weeks. Time to get a rest. Lol
Back to IC Zen 1.8.4 with a Jelly Bean Theme. Its smooth, GPS is working pretty well. And i still get the JB experience with the theme.
Nothing to complain really...

I'd say the only jb ROM with all the problems you list is skang, hellybean has better GPS, better browsing, and uses data data

I am sure this has been asked before but I haven't been on here in a long time.
I am getting sick of waiting for Samsung to release ICS to this tablet.
I have searched to see which ROM is worth getting but have ended up beong more confused.
Anyway I was hoping someone could recommend to me which 4.0 [ICS] ROM I should get.
Which ROM is the most stable and has the least problems?
...What doesn't work on the ROM would be nice to know also.
Thanks in advance guys.
I have used both aokp and cm9. I prefer aokp because of tweaks like the battery bar at the bottom. For me they were both stable. I did find that Fifa 2012 ran better on aokp add well. but the cm9 had the dsp controls to change the sound better.
There is a sticky in the developers forum at the top where a guy has you tube videos comparing them. I would watch those and choose the one you like better.

Thanks guys...I have always liked CM so I will probably go with CM9.

If I were you, I'd stick with custom HC ROMs. Gonna wait a little bit for the official ICS ROM from Samsung and also the JB custom ROMs from our beloved and talented ROM creators. Hopefully there is the precious camera driver for JB included. LOL

I got fed up waiting for ICS on my P7510 (though it is out now) so I hunted around and tried several before settling on Toldo's ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1813651.
Everything is working, though I am experiencing an odd hyperlink problem on some web pages. I would definitely recommend this ROM.
I also would suggest Toldo's ICS ROM. Its working perfectly.
Im already running Euphoria rc2.1, but im having problems with the wifi and its pretty laggy. Does anyone know any other good ics roms?
Thanks in advance
ICZen or Slim. I'm partial to ICZen, personally.

Go for ICS Zenwich 1.8.4 straight away if you are looking for good battery life.
+3 for Zen. I've been running is since Beat stages and no matter what I try or test, I keep going back. It is my home ICS ROM, so to speak.
Need to go here to get it. Plenty of support by the development team and more experienced users.
I also had good luck with Zen and Slim.
I installed remICS a few days ago and love it. I'm getting the best battery life since Bionix. Still have 67% after almost 24 hours. WiFi and GPS on, medium to light use. GPS works great too.
I wanna give zen a try , i just don't like all the ying and yang notification bar or the laughing Buddha. Is there an option to turn these off?
There are plenty of themes over there for it too.
+4 its the best thing going, no muss no fuss, icz 1.8.4
Laughing Budda, I never got that, dang gotta find that, just when you think your with the in crowd...this..slight
To me the best ICS Rom out there right now is " ICS ROM 4.0.4 RemICS v1.2 BETA from (Team Remics)"

I had great results with Bionix V (froyo). I don't use GPS, so I cannot comment on that personally. Other people reportedly had no problems.
It uses the Bali kernel, and it had ridiculous battery life.
I tested a different phone for like 19 days, and left it on in a drawer on airplane mode and it wasn't dead yet when I went back and got it out.
However, I use Helly Bean 8/12 build right now and have had no issues whatsoever. Like I said though, I don't use GPS. I know there are issues with that.
The Cyanogenmod 7.2 would probably be the most stable I imagine. I'm always amazed at the speed and battery life when I tell myself I'm not doing any beta roms for a while.
iczen all the way it was only rom to have excellent gps as well as battery backup........ics passion is also nice but it is old ........for 2.2 bionix is awsome ........none of the gingerbread roms are good for daily use ...

In recovery is voodoo lagfix turned on? This ROM absolutely flew for me... it was starting to bog down right before I switched to HB, but I ran it for several lag-free months prior to switching.
For me, Bionix (fishmanmod) is the most stable of all. Battery life is excellent. WiFi calling works and GPS locks in <20 seconds. I've never experienced lag. (Make sure voodoo lagfix is on).
I'm running a nightly from CM9 and it works like a dream. I think mine is the 20120423 nightly. It doesn't have GPS, but I have a GPS in my car already, and that's the only place I would need a GPS anyways.
Hi guys,
I am currently on AOKP ICS M6 and really like the stability of it. With JB 4.1.2 out, would you guys reckon that it will be stable enough for use as a daily driver?? My Nexus device runs well with JB 4.1.2 and I kinda like the fluidity and added functions of it. Will hope that I can replicate that in my SGS2.
Which build will be a good place to start if I am most concerned about stability and battery life?? CM10 nightlies? Kinda disappointed that CM has dropped supported for SGS2 and I am wondering if this affects the quality of the nightlies.
CM10 is pretty stable, for sure you can use it as daily driver.

played around with various JBs. I find that they are quite stable apart from the occasional FCs.
However, this one bug really irritates me and will be the deal breaker for JB: >>> Half Volume Bug!!!
Can I confirm that this bug is common across all versions of JB, be it AOKP/CM??

Maybe its just me, but I'm on Paranoid Android 2.5 and theres no volume issues whatsoever. First time I took a call after flashing this rom almost popped me eardrums out. Worth a try if that's what is stopping you from going JB 4.1.2 . No FCs so far either.
I often run piers unofficial aokp and sometimes official builds and I haven't experienced that bug. Not even once.
Oh and I'm obiesly talking about jb.

Ive been a day one Note user and loved the work of all the devs here. I absolutely hate that the stock jb (specifically the debloated stock) is so Damn sluggish. I love the aokp/cm/aosp roms for speed but the random reboots and in some cases lack of stability are problematic. As are the battery life issues.
I've tried the other stock based roms and not sure if it's my device or what but they all get significantly more sluggish with time/usage. If anyone has a stable aosp/aokp /pure Android ROM to suggest I'd be happy to give it a spin. I still love the device just wish it was more smooth.
In any event I greatly appreciate the work of the devs that are still around. Please keep up the good work.

+1. For what you seem to want. Definitely try that CM9 rom. Its a good mix of jellybean + ICS like its title says.
However the other ROMS mentioned are definitely the most stable builds of non-touchwiz jellybean that you could get

So far the 8/28 Unofficial AOKP from BlownFuze has been very good. Looks like it may work out. I tried an earlier version of this and got the SOD and hand't been back in a while. If I have any issues in the future, i'll try the other recommendations.
Thanks!
Man I have went from the note 2 to this which is a long story but damn. Jb is almost non bearable to use. Laggy and even using cm10.1 stable and rc3 it would not even play angry birds friends correctly.
So went to stock 4.04 and removed all that att stuff since I am in Germany on o2 and I have to say its been pretty good to me.
I run nova launcher and so far battery has been good, angry birds friends play great and not an issue.
I really think Samsung just gave us jb to shut us up about it and forgot to check to see how it ran.
My next phone will be the nexus 5 or whatever it will be called.
Tired of this flashing 50 Roms to get my device to run the way it was meant to be
