ICS problem, please HELP - Optimus One, P500, V General

Hey, I was using the latest CM9 nightly and even used the Bluepill version but my battery on standby is like 31% drained in 6 hrs, in CM7 it drained only 5% in 6 hrs, I want to know that is it normal for CM9 on our device ? or should I do calibration or something ? Will I get better battery with RC2 Prefinal by hehappy ?

There are battery related problems reported for the cm9 nightly build. I also faced it. on my p500, its not consistent. One day it drains much and the other day its fine.

What does BetterBatteryStats say?

> I think your problem isnt normal. Im on ics and it doesnt drains like that on standby.. but dont compare ics with gb. Yes ics drains battery faster. But it is worth it. .on gb. 8hrs standby drains me 2% while on ics it drains about 6%.

I don't know what you guys did wrong but I'm getting much better battery life on beta 4
Yea my results with Stable FreeX10-Cyanogen (Beta-4 w/Cyanogen Settings)
- 6:30 AM woke up. 82% Battery
- ~4:31 PM battery 71%
Only 11% battery drain in my opinion not too bad

[Q] Galaxy ACE unstable battery...

I've been having problems with my ace since i bough it. The battery is very unstable... it seems that it drains incredibly fast and always at the same amounts... for example. When the charge levels is at 50% it drops to 35% in 2mins and it always happens when it reaches 50% or so...
I m currently using the cm7.1 unofficial port but this behavior existed since I bought it with froyo.
With the images I attached you can probably perceive the problem more clearly...
If you wonder if I calibrated the battery the answer is yes... and I did it as guided...
I don’t really know if this is a known issue or has been reported already but I haven’t found anything yet so please help...
Thank you so much...

It's a hardware/system problem with the battery reporting. Temperature is in 5% steps and battery sometimes in 10% steps. Voltage shows 4mv charged.... wtf? A battery replacement will not work.
Root users maybe try tinkering with the init.goldfish.rc file, it's related to battery.

Is it possible to just do an over all fix to the battery thing? I thought it was a bug that could be fixed by updates or something.

I've had some success with improving battery usage after freezing maps.
yeah, happens to my ace too.
after every full charged, it will suddenly drop to 80% about 5 minutes later.
strangely though, once I got the battery to discharge until 3% and it could still play music for another 3 hours. so I think it must be software problem.
i have done calibration twice, the problem still persist.
oh btw, currently i'm using cm7.1 grif and still loving it so far.

Irritating how it adds 20% right after you plug it in.

What do you mean freezing maps? The application you mean? What does that have to do with the battery? I'm curious.

Maps has a persistent service that's bound to suck some CPU every once in a while.

[Q] CM9 battery life

So I was getting very poor battery life on my Galaxy S II running Cyanogenmod 9 stable. As shown on the screenshot, my battery lasted only about 7 hours it requires a charge. I wasn't running a live wallpaper nor I was running any intense app. I tried to calibrate my battery but there was no improvements. May I know what's wrong? I didn't had some poor battery life while I was on previous roms such as checkrom and even the stock rom. Any helps appreciated. Thank you!

Hi xda forum users...
I recently got cyanogenmod9 for my phone and the battery life is terrible.

Ok I dont use ur phone so i am not sure if what i say might be accurate. From what i can see, ur phone was only supported my Samsung till android 2.3. Which probably means that your phone doesnt have a proper kernel for android 4.0.4 on which cm9 is based on. So probably the kernel being used isnt fully stable, hence ur battery life is terrible, I would suggest u stick to a gingerbread (android 2.3) ROM with a stable kernel to enjoy good battery life. It could also be that ur battery might actually be spoilt. Is there any slight bloating on ur battery?

The kernel which was compiled for the your phone might not be fully stable yet causing the battery drain. If there is a new version of that rom try updating to that and see if that fixes the problem.

[Q] Battery life on latest CM 10.2 nightly

Can anyone tell me how the battery life on the latest CM 10.2 nightlies are. I love AOSP roms but had to switch bc of battery life awhile back. Can anyone tell me how its come along and how it compares to beans rom? Thanks!!

You will have to play with a combination of Devil Kernel settings to get the battery life you want. But your still not going to get stock battery life as this is so experimental everyone is still playing with settings to get max out of it. You can get 18 hours out of the latest, but not with heavy use.
I m getting very good battery life on the latest nightlies..... Idle drain is lowest I have seen on any ROM I have used. I m on stock cm kernel

Me too. Getting the best battery performance i have ever seen. Was in disbelief. Purposely put on wifi to help it run down faster. ha!
I was getting an extra 5 hours easy with the stock kernel. Tophaholic is right, the idle drain is next to nothing. Beans is still better than stock, but not quite as good as cm10.2 in terms of battery life.
I am running the latest nightly for 10.2, but I am getting terrible battery life. Any ideas how to force the CPU to idle?
!0.2 has the best battery life of any AOSP rom ive tried, mainly because of android 4.3. Cant wait till we get a sammy build!
