problem with charge & usb. Help!!! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

I can't charge my galaxy i777, only if i remove the battery, then i connect to the charger and finally put the battery again the phone charges, but if i connect the charger with the phone on, it doesn't charges!!! And when i connect to an usb the phone turn off automatically! And the screen stay with a battery icon appearing and disappearing!!! What can i do? i have installed 2.3.6 version

Sounds like it could be a hardware problem.

How long have you have the phone? If its within a year, Samsung does a free replacement. Check the Samsung website for details

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100T wont turn on - Help Needed

Hi,
My Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100T isn't turning on. Its Not rooted and is running latest version of ICS (Vodafone Australia). I have tired the below with no results
1. Changed the batter to check if original battery was faulty.
2. Tried to connect phone to Samsung Kies software. Could not connect the phone to Kies via USB. Phone isn't getting detected.
3. Tried soft reset. (Removed battery and pressed power button for 10 sec)
4. Tried hard reset (Pressed volume down button with Volumen down and home button already pressed, for a min. or longer)
The phone has not suffered water damage or dropped. The phone was working fine today morning and I put it to charge as battery level was low, returned after 15 mins to find the phone switched Off. Has not turned on since then.

remove the battery, then wait for 20~30 secs then put the battery back and plug it to a wall charger and see if charging batt icon appears back, if so wait for it to be fully charged(100%), after that try turning ON the phone and see

if the phone is still under warranty u can approach ur nearest Samsung Service center ma8
more detail needed
can you explain exactly what happens when you try to turn it on or boot it?
i had the same problem too . put the phone in charge for sometime . even though the charging indicator doesn't show up it will show up in a few minutes , then you can turn on the phone normally . if that doesn't work . remover the battery and charge it separately in one of those battery adapter chargers . and put it back in the phone and try to turn it on . it happens usually when the battery is fully drained or it malfunctions and shows that it has no charge left even though there is charge left in the battery . in that case you may try the above methods . else you have to take it to the service center
I have this problem, but I dont want to be charged for it to be fixed had it over a year still got half a year to go on contract

[Q] [[help]] phone wont charge after using fastcharge

I had finally installed a custom kernel for my us cellular galaxy s3 (sch-r530u)
ran fast charge on it...
it charged fine but later when it had died now it wont charge at all
I have tried several AC adaptors, car charger, and my computer
all that happens is the phone tries to turn on and then dies before the OS can start
if I plug it in I do not see the charge light turn on
I do not have a warranty as I bought this phone used from a friend that upgraded to the s5.
I am assuming this could just be the battery (maybe somehow fast charge messed up my battery?)
I just wanted to check here before I went and bought anything.
Thanks for any advice.

Seems like USB cable was not capable of that bigger numbers or you just used too big amount for fast charge overall, and that was bad for the battery.
Replacing battery will do the job.
You may also have blown the charging circuit inside the phone, but try changing the battery first.
You have posted in the wrong forum and wrong section, this is for i9300 only.

[Q] batery issue (software)

hello everyone,i have updated GT-I9205 to 4.4.2 (sprint) stock, the first week was pretty good, at the second week my phone suddenly shut down and wont turn back on the battery was about 35-40%, i tried to connect to wall charger but no sign of life also tried from computer the same again under device menager no device was being added, after a day of trying i was nervous and just keept pressing the power button for about 5 minutes and than it turned on and no problems till yesterday, as usual i have putted the phone to charge when i gone to sleep and when i woke up it was 33% and not charging, when i put the charger it says usb connector connected and wont charge, ive tried to go to download mode and maybe flash with an other stock firmware but wont be recognized, i also tried to wipe data/factory reset but no luck, so i thought it was a hardware failure while trying i've found out that when i am in download mode with usb cable connected and take out the battery the phone stays turned on, than realized that if i connect the usb cable while the phone is of and than go to recovery mode then reboot, when it boots it charges the battery but keeps no notification that its charging just the regular battery icon and if i take out the cable and put it back it says usb connector connected but wont charge , does anyone know what to do with this, is this a hardware issue (i know that if i change the motherboard it will be okay because of firmware) or is this a software issue(what im thinking it is), does anyone how can i change the firmware without odin and without being rooted, or is anyway to root 4.4.2 without odin than install an other firmware or what should i do (instead of killing myself hahahahah).
Sorry for my bad English and if i was not clear please let me know than i will record a video and post it here!
Thanks for your time.
Kind regards from Prishtina DB

thanks everyone who was here, it was a hardware problem I've fixed the connector on the phone now its working fine, so it has not being a software problem.

[Q] Phone doesn't charge when battery is fully drained

I'm on AOKP 4.4.4 Nightly build 2014-10-18 for my Samsung Galaxy Note II - T-Mobile.
I have this problem that whenever my phone dies out of no battery and I connect it to power outlet the phone doesn't charge. However when I connect it to USB it starts charging until the point the OS detects the phone. Upon detection I get the message 'USB Device Not Recognized' and the phone wouldn't charge any further.
This problem is killing me preventing the phone from being charged both from main power or from USB. Has anyone faced this issue before? How would I get rid of this issue?
Thanks,
Sundar.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3 wont open nor charge

I have a galaxy s3 and it doesn't charge nor open. This first happened last April 10, 2015. The situation was me trying to charge my phone and when i plug the charging port in the dock, it doesn't show any sign like a charging sign or any changes on the battery. I tried to shut the phone down and tried to charge but still there was no change. I searched for solutions to this problem and so I found this solution where you should Remove battery and press power button to drain the capacitors. I did the procedure and finally opened my phone! It also charges and it was somehow a big relief. The following night, i tried to charge my phone again and it wont open and i turned the phone off and tried to do the same procedure but there was no change until now. I still can't open it. Any ideas how?
Corrupt firmware or faulty lead, charger, battery, usb port, motherboard - try those ideas in that order.
