Per the developer's own FAQ, Speedmod is only compatible with ROMs that are Samsung based, and not with any AOSP or AOKP based ROMs. (includes CM and MIUI)

Sorry, I don't recommend ROMs. And per this post, (I know you didn't ask for the "best" ROM, but the message is the same) the main spirit behind this board is trying things out for yourself.
Just wanna know the compatible roms sir. Thanks and have a good day

Another best question
IMHO, Simply no "best" kernel for ace whether stock or aosp or cm. But there is a better kernel, mr An0nym0us work cm kernel till v 1.5. Mr ketut work on stock and cm kernel, and many more people that work on ace kernel. Mr Samsung compile kernel that suit on stock rom.

If there are only two options the better one is best
You proved your self wrong for cm zimage-mod is better and for stock, cf-root is better (which is true on both)

Read the first page of the thread for the kernel you want to try. That will tell you which roms it's compatible with.
No suggestions. Reasons being you use your phone differently to everyone else, have it set up differently & no two phones come out of the factory the same. So you won't have exactly the same experience as me with a given rom or kernel. Also, many people who are users of a particular rom or kernel end up being total fanboys, rendering their opinion on same biased/meaningless.
So...Try out a bunch of roms/kernels until you find one you like. With CWM, it's so easy to backup/restore & flash roms/kernels there's no excuse for you not trying a bunch out for yourself.
Thanks man

Kinda Noobie here
hello,
2 month back i brought unlocked i777 from ebay. It got rooted and unlocked with Android version 2.3.4, baseband i777UCKH7 and kernel version 2.6.35.7.
It got super user app (so i think its rooted). But the CMW is not installed. i checked in recovery mode (it show some android recovery).
So now i m thinkin of installing the latest AOKP ROM (with siyah kernel) but not sure wat to flash first.
should i root again first (root + CWM) then install AOKP. then change the kernel.
or root then kernel then AOKP ?
also i m confuse which root method should i use for installing CWM in gingerbread .

Install kernel with cwm.
Boot to recovery and install aokp rom
Done
Every rom install contains a kernel that works with the rom. Doesn't matter what you had before.

When you flash the custom kernel with CWM, you can then user CWM to flash whichever ROM you wish. I.E. AOKP

There are many jellybean ROM out there, just try them. If you don't like one, flash another one.
asking for best ROM is forbidden on XDA. Read the rules next time before posting.

Just out of curiosity... Why do you think Rootbox is the best? I for one am waiting until the AOKP team has added more options and optimization to their JB roms. Until they have done that, I will stay with RR 2.6.1 (ICS). In the meantime I will keep trying their JB roms in my dualboot setting.
U mean to say jb roms are not stable till yet

There is nothing like best ROM. Everybody will have their own best ROM.
The issue about best ROM is always very subjective.
All I know is, there are good ROMs out there.
PS: I strongly believe if this kind of discussion should not continue on this thread, the moderator might close it down within the next few hours
Kk i am not asking any one for best rom
All i want is a bug free rom with users review. No harsh feelings for any developer

I'm not saying these roms are not stable. I said that I'd prefer a rom with more optimizations and functionality. JB is stil under heavy development. I will provide you the links, but I suggest you'd put a little more effort in searching throughout XDA.
I'm on Resurrection Remix 2.6.1 (Android 4.0.4)
and
Resurrection Remix 3.0.6 (Android 4.1.1 if I'm not mistaken).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436854
You'll have to search that thread for the download links.
If you want the most stable and bugfree experience, then flash a ICS based Rom. If you want to experiment, then you can flash a JB Rom, which you can also use as a daily driver by now (at least the latest CM 10 nightlies)
If you want to have the most customizations then Flash an AOKP based Rom like the Resurrection Remix 2.6.1 Rom which is ICS based. Since 3.0 it`s JB based however.
If you just want the vanilla Android experience without too much settings then you can of course try the famous Cyanogenmod 9 Rom, which is also great.
It took me quite a while to figure out what`s the best Rom for me. I settled for Resurrection Remix 2.6.1
In the end it`s up to you and what you like, that`s why there is no such thing as "the best Rom"
