Why no developer working on MIUI Rom based on Gingerbread 2.3.7 since Android 4.0 based roms still not fully working due absence of drivers.Such as the MIUI 2.4 ,it is stable than ics and MIUI V4.
Because if you look in the developer forums, there is no 2.3.7 release for our device. Highest and most recent version of android is 2.3.5 Gingerbread.
Besides that, we have no direct kernel access, so we currently can't have a full ICS experience.
Because upstream MIUI has moved on from CM7 and the CM9 we have is definitely stable enough to use.
If you want one, make one! That's what I did.

I'm running Free X10 at the moment. I've been away for abotu a month and just checked the dev forum which appears to be swamped with roms and other things...
So... which is the latest, stable rom with a fully working camera and camcorder please (i.e. which rom should I be using to keep full functionality of my phone)?
Welp if you woulda asked yesterday i woulda recommened Trips MIUI but im gonna have to go with wolfbreaks ROM or Z's 2.2 if you want a smooth and complete ROM. Both are basically almost 100% stable.
There are a few 2.2 roms. I've only really used wolfbreaks and kxhawkins, both are stable, with full functionality. rdannar has a stable 2.3.3 rom(which I'm currently using as my baseband is 54 and don't want to change), very fast and stable but, as with all 2.3 roms, no camera.
I would have suggested tripnraver miui, but it seems to have gone missing

It basically depends on what type of rom you want.
2.1 roms
2.2 roms
2.3 roms
MIUI is the way to go if you like iphone like style. Currently you have few versions floating around and one of the best MIUI roms is not available anymore. These MIUI ROMS are again based on 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3 versions of android. 2.3 is the lastest and greatest and is lamost fully working when it comes to MIUI. I think the one you can get from forum is rdannar's and formels and rdanner's MIUI roms
If you want the Android like roms, then there are lots of 2.1 roms are floating around. If you want to be with stock SE features along with a nice root and camera, then 2.1 rom is the way to go
2.2 roms which were intermediate (intermediate because now we have 2.3 roms) which was originally unstable but now is 100% stable thanx to all our important developers which may not (or may ) have all the SE features.Once you step to 2.2 and above roms, you will lose the SE syncml options (the one which syncs to SE site) and you will be dependent on the google sync mostly. Wolfbreaks and Rendiero's roms were extremely popular in 2.2 roms
2.3 roms which is the latest and greatest of all but not many roms to choose from. We have SuperAOSP, SuperARc and now HD MIUI from rdannar, Cyanogenmod7 from Jerpelea which are popular but you have many new chefs now so you can expect to see more ROMS
I am not biased towards any developer. I just look at the way the ROM functions and also these are my views. So dont use this as means of fighting. I personally like Android based style more than iphone style so i have tried only one or two MIUI roms so far (One was Trips MIUI and the other was formel's by rdannar (i think) were very stable and fun to use)
But personally, I like Android style a lot. So i was always juggling between Wolfbreak's and Scamble's rom before i completely shifted towards 2.3 roms.
Now i juggle between CM7 from J, SuperAOSP and SuperARC with greater affinity towards SuperAOSP since i find it very stable
Cobrato's 2.2 MIUI is awesome you should try it
Hello my friends,
i'm using the neutrino ROM in my atrix phone but I need a more stable ROM. A ROM with 100% of functionality or near that.
Which ROM you consider the most stable at this moment ?
Thanks for the attention
I use a variety of roms from the MIUI port to CM7 and all the way back around to Darkside and i have to say that Darkside is your best bet for a Blur rom if you want, it not i have found the CM7 ICS Final to be a stable CM7rom.

thanks for your reply. So, for you the ROM based on darkside is the best ROM (stable) at this moment. Do you tested the Neutrino ROM ?
thanks for the attention.
I think you have to better clarify what you mean by stable. You also allude to functionality which aren't entirely the same. To many, CM7 is stable, but if you're looking for BLUR functions, CM7 wont have that.
What functions/features are you looking for/must have and/or what are you missing?
I need use the Dock, HDMI output, video conference and support to other languages. I'm using Neutrino GT ROM. That's awesome ROM, with awesomes features but, for example, I having issues with simples functions as chosing other languages. I receive keyboard error and i cant find solution for that. That's is just example of issues.
Did you test this ROM ?
thanks for the attention

You might have to flash a couple of the other major ROMs out there and see what suits you. What's best to one might not be best to another. I currently like the Evervolv ICS ROM because the GPS is the most stable (no crashes) than on any ROM I've ever run, including stock and rooted 2.1. I like other features of ICS, but there's caveats like the camera doesn't work right.
I ran GSB for a long time before that, but as CondemnedSoul's was compiled most recently (off of more recent source files), I'd be tempted to stick with it unless there's something in particular you find lacking.
The official CyanogenMod ROM was updated recently for the Eris as well. I haven't tried the most recent version. For a reason I don't remember, I didn't use the old version for very long, and I went back to GSB at the time.
i just got a an eris.... i flashed couple evervovl ics and cm9 but of all were very slow and mic didn't work. Surprisinly, evervolv jelly bean worked the best - mic works, phone, txt, etc.... but camera doesn't work..... give that a try outside gsb....

Hey do you, or anyone for that matter, still have this rom file? If so, it would be extremely appreciated if you could either share a dropbox link, upload to another mirror and share the link, email it to me, or any other means to share the file. I am asking on another forum without any luck so far, and I would like to give this rom a shot.
Hi,
I am not at all satisfied with the performance of the official latest update provided by Sony i.e., 4.1.B.0.587.
Posted many times on their support forum but no solution received yet.
It has several issues, naming few:
Hanging Issue (phone is on standby mode and suddenly starts ringing without any display on screen until you turn it off).
Battery Drainage (Major portion of the battery is consumed by Android OS).
Low on stability and performance. (very slow)
Current Version Details:
Model: Sony Xperia Mini Pro / SK17i
Android Version: 4.0.4
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9 -perf (Why is Sony still using kernel 2.6.x when they should have switched to 3.x?)
Build Number: 4.1.B.0.587
I am looking forward for a custom ROM installation. Kindly suggest me the best ROM for my phone (I have also read on some forums that MIUI is better than CyanogenMod). Is that so???
It is the first time I am doing any custom installation on phone so will really appreciate if you can provide me the links of the forum from where I can get the details of how to proceed with the same.
Eagerly waiting for a prompt and positive response.
Thanks in advance.

Also should I wait for more stable JB?

Is your bootloader unlocked? Otherwise forget about cyanogenmod.
You could try my MIUI rom, it works on locked bootloader, too!
MIUI has lots of features, many are very great and usefull. There are great little things like being on lockscreen and holding homebutton acivates the flashlight.
MIUI is great, so just try it. How to install custom roms is in my signature, my MIUI rom, too :good:
And please read the sticked threads next time!

cm7 is based on vanilla gingerbread android source and it is fast. got more bugs than stock gingerbread rom.
ics miui is based on stock ics. its beautiful and got more feature than cm but its hunger on resource and sometime can be laggy too.
cm9 is based on vanilla ics android source and it is fast. but probably got more bugs than stock based rom.
aokp ics is based on vanilla ics android source too and same as source based rom, it is fast. got more feature than cm9 and inherit the same bugs as cm9.
paranoid android ics is the same, based on vanilla ics android source and it is fast too. got a feature exclusive to it which is ability to chose between phone ui, table ui or hybrid between both. imho not really suitable for our small screen phone.
cm10 is based on vanilla jellybean android source, got more bugs than cm9.
aokp jellybean is based on vanilla jellybean android source too, got more feature than cm10 and inherit same bugs as cm10.
paranoid android jellbean is same, based on vanilla jellybean android source. same as paranoid android ics, got the ability to chose between phone ui, tablet ui or hybrid. got the same bugs as cm10.
pacman jellybean is a hybrid between cm10, aokp and paranoid android. got all feature of those three, some sort of mash up rom. its based on vanilla jellybean android source too and inherit the same bugs as cm10.
that should sum it all up.
Currently i have VK ROM (based on 4.1.2 leak) but got tired of those samsung based ROMs and choose to go back to AOKP/AOSP ROMs like CM 10.
Ive seen that there is a "regular" version and another one named nightly. whats the difference between the two?which one is more stable/giving better battery life?
also,if you have it i would like to recommand me on speciefic version (like, the build's release date) and with which kernel it worked better.
(recommanding other combination of ROMs and kernel will be good as well)
thank you! :good:

By "regular" i think you are referring to "stable" releases, as it implies stable releases are having the lowest or no bugs in the entire release cycle. The nightlies are having high chance of major bugs and issues and is not recommended for daily use.
This link will give you everything you need
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_II:_Full_Update_Guide
Also I recommend the stable version for downloading from the rom download list
There are two 7.2.0(Gingerbread) and 9.1.0(Ice Cream Sandwich) as stable releases.
There are several good roms based on CM10 (which currently has only nightlies) like ReVolt, Resurrection Remix(which are stable).
Using GT - I9100
I thank those who give helpful comments
I expect the same from others.
