i've changed batteries from my 1650mAh to my 2000mAh a lot of times but i haven't experienced getting frequently rebooted.. i don't think it's about the battery changes.. you could try doing a wipe
It's running stock, and have bunch of apps..and my dad don't want me to root to backup for him, without root wat can I do to back up app with data?
Sent from my HTC Desire Z using xda app-developers app
I think you can backup apps without root with My Backup from the Market. But you need root to restore them. So, no joy...
Sent from my GT-I9100
is clearly rom issue. you should root the phone, make a back up (just in case). /wipe cache and dalvik. and un root it.so there wouldn't be any difference. or you could do it the right way and..root it back up with titannium or else, wipe cache dalvik, data/system factory and format /system, enter downlaod mode, flash via odin an stock rom, root it again, restore all apps and data. and un root it.
or try..
maybe one of the apps you are using is causing the problem.. I would start uninstalling unneeded apps and see if the problem fixes itself... after that I would try deleting cache for any apps that may cause problems... but the sure way as others mentioned is to flash a fresh ROM
Well, its not that I have enough time to root and back up it,its my father s2 as I'm trying to help out he factory reset it..now he said everything is okay..so let's hope it will stay like this till the end of the s2 life in my father's hand LOL anyway thx guys for ur support

Okay I can't seem to install any new apps or update any existing ones on my phone. I'm able to download them, but once it tries to install its always unsuccessful. Don't get mad if this is the wrong thread. I'm new to this but usually find answers to my problems with someone else's topic. Except for this one here. Any help?

Try clearing system cache, reboot into recovery and clear dalvik cache, then reboot.
How do you clear system cache? Searched under settings could not find anything.
I've has the same problem. Lasted about two days. The apps would download but would stick on installing forever and would eventually fail. My solution was logging into Google on the phones browser. It seems like my account timed out on my phone, and after logging out and then back in, my market began to work perfectly again. You can also try what was posted above. Are you rooted? Cause of you aren't, then you won't be able to do those things said above. Good luck, hope this helps.

Tried clearing cache and signing in and out of Google. Neither worked. I have opera set up as default browser, tried with both opera & phones regular browser. Still nothing. Yes I'm rooted, running kaosfroyo v34.
Sent from my FroyoEris using XDA App
Try a factory/data reset. Sounds like your only option.
Reflash after that to make sure it loaded correctly.
A simple flash over to KaosFroyo V 37 fixed the problem. Thanks for the suggestions.

Clear data for the market in settings. That usually works for me. If it doesn't, you can install the apps manually by using a file system manger (Linda File Manager, Root Explorer, etc.). The .apk should be in the download folder on the sd.

Ok so I've tried all suggestions and nothing has seemed to work. I figured, why not try a new rom? So I flashed over to Vanilla Tazz. Seemed ok at first. Was able to update apps and download some new ones. Emphasis on SOME. Cannot for the life of me get back AndroZip which is my favorite file manager. Even backed it up with Titanium before all this started happening but still could not restore it. And now with Vanilla all you get is the crappy Android keyboard. So I download the HTC ime keypoard apk. Can't install that either. Try to download eoeAppInstaller to do so, can't install that. This is really, really, really pissing me off. Is a factory reset my only hope?
Sent from my VANILLA TAZZ using XDA App
Did you do a full wipe before installing the new rom? Try doing a dalvik wipe and rebooting. It shouldn't affect the current rom you're in.
Also, it sounds like whatever problem you had in the old rom was carried to the new one. Did you use titanium to restore any apps or settings? If so, you may have "restored" the problem.
Sent from my ERIS using XDA App
Have you messed with any system apps? Like moving the market to the sd card?
Sent from my ERIS using XDA App
I backed up my kaos rom and wiped all data and cache before flashing vanilla tazz. Just wiped dalvik but still no luck.
I used titanium to restore apps but no settings. And no I haven't messed with system apps. Should I try moving to sd?

I had a problen with my FB not syncing with contacts (across several roms). Turns out something I was restoring with Titanium (not the FB app) was causing it. It'll be a pain in the rear, but you probably need to do a full wipe, flash a clean rom, and set everything up manually. OR you could probably nand restore to a rom BEFORE you were having this problem, create a Titanium back up, wipe, flash the new rom, and restore Titanium.
Hopefully, this will straighten things out for ya!
Sent from my ERIS using XDA App
Full wipe as in factory reset right? Will that unroot the phone as well, basically forcing me to start from scratch?
Sent from my VANILLA TAZZ using XDA App
Tried nand restore but kept getting an error and could not complete.
Sent from my VANILLA TAZZ using XDA App
Full wipe for "rooters" means wipe data, dalvik, and ext (if sd card is partitioned).
Have you renamed your nandroid? If so, remove any spaces and try again.

Hello I have been using my sgs2 for 4 months now and for less than a month ago after I installed SPB SHELL 3D using lucky patcher, at first things were fine for 1 week or something and suddently it started boot looping. I can only get it to work again if I do a delvik cache clean up. Basically my situation right now is, I have to do a delvik cache clean up everytime I restart my phone or else the phone will keep boot looping. It loops right after or while the media scanning takes place. Sometimes long after I keep it idle n unlock the screen to select my launcher, then it crashes n reboots. But after a delvik cache clean up everything works fine as long as I keep my phone on.
One more thing, even if I select the default launcher I always have to select which launcher in ever boot. Setting are not saved for some reason.
What could be the problem? I really dont want to do a factory reset, I never did one before and im sure ill loose all setting and all data in each apps.
Btw I have a rooted phone...
Thanks....

Grab titanium backup pricey but worth every penny, use that to backup your apps and settings, and then factory reset and restore back.
Otherwise backup apps and data for apps with titanium and upgrade your rom to a newer version.
Im waiting for ICS, but ill loose root if I update rom. N finding the root process for new rom is a whole new story...
Update on my phones problem:
I noticed, it does a bootloop cuz SPB is patched n it keeps tryin to check licence n crashes n for some reason IM+ lite autostart makes it worse... Though nowadays im+ gets removed along with many other apps for no reason.

Update:
The problem feels like its related to my SD Card... Maybe because of too many apps installed in SD... About 310 apps in total

Please provide answers to the following questions:
1.What's your ROM details?
2.What kind of data are you interested in having up?
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
You don't need root to make full copy of your data; even not rooted phone has /data partition mounted as r/w (beacuse if it would have been mounted as r/o, you couldn't modify your phone). Logical? :>
Rooting does not wipe your data.
[1] If you're on Gingerbread (2.3.3 - 2.3.6), flash CF-Root for your firmware. You won't lose a thing.
[2] If you're on Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0.3 - 4.0.4), you have two options.
OPTION 1
Download ADB, and run this command:
adb backup /all
This will do a full backup of your device. Use adb restore backup.ab to restore to the backup.
OPTION 2
Flash Siyah for your firmware.

Hey guys/girls.
How long does it take you to do a full wipe, flash and restore? I've only ever installed one rom and was wondering how long it takes.
Also what is the process invlolved in how you do it?
Is it backup with titanium then go into cwm and Wipe Data / Factory Reset, Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache, Format System partition and Install rom. Then get titanium and restore everything?
U can use TitaniumBackup to backup apps and restore them when u flash new rom. I rarely use it. I do cwm backup of complete rom and then install and try new rom from scratch... U can do whatever u like.
Averege time for things u asked is aprox. ~10-20min..

Just out of curiosity, you didn't flash the jb leak provided in this section, didn't you?
If you did chances are high you got a full brick.
Are you able to get to download mode (volume down + home + power)? If yes, flash a stock firmware and try again.

In my experience, Titanium Backup should be used sparingly, It IS totally brilliant, but, depending on the ROM you are flashing from/to is like trying to shove a square peg into a round hole, it will go in, but it ain`t happy about it.
Also the amount of time it takes depends on how many apps you have installed.
Before you actually use Titanium, it is a wise idea to go into the preferences, and make sure the "migrate system data" and the "restore app external data" boxes are ticked. (should be default setting IMO)
From a fully app`d ROM do a full backup of sytem and user apps, but when it comes to restoring them, restore the apps only, the restoration of app data should be done selectively, and the most common system data(contacts, call logs, sms history etc) are usually highlighted green.
Then just use your phone and any time you come accross an app that is missing its data, restore it on a "per app" basis.
All this may take a bit longer than the 15-20 mins quoted, but rarely more than an hour.
This has been a reliable method for the 50 odd times I`ve flashed my SII, and the 20 odd times I`ve flashed my SIII....Hope this helps
I was just on I9300XXDLI8 and due to missing picture and music I decided to wait for the official.
Odin the Original Image 5 minutes
Wipe Data 1 Minutes
Phone Initial Setup (with usual play and gmail account) 3 minutes
FULL restore from Kies (119 apps and all other data) 35 minutes
Usual Play Store update for out of date apps 10 minutes
Took a total of 54 minutes.

Use Go Backup. Titanium fails to do auto restore often, resulting to a manual restore of all your data with Titanium backup using install, enter, done, install, enter, done' repeatedly.
Go Backup restores all without a single problem

A little cautious here maybe, but TB backup, boot into clockwork android backup, format system and data wipe cache / dalvik. Flash rom, restore apps but no data from titanium then restore data for a select bunch of apps (banking apps which require authentication and similar) restore call logs, sms via TB. Total time approx 1 hour.

Hey ,
I would like to know if there is any way I could completely wipe my phone back to a clean slate like it was when it came from the factory, just to see if that would help fix the problem. I understand that in most recoveries, you can wipe the boot, data, system, sd, etc and I have already done all that, but is there any other things I should try formatting/wiping.
I've Motorola xt910 and i have installed so many tweakes and scripts and copied pasted many of the sh*ts on system files even on init.d folder which is really draining my battery like hell. I am unable to use my phone for more then 3 hours on normal use . Ive tried flashing so mayn times ,tried to install different rom before wiping to factory reset, tried to wipe android.secure and caches using cwm ,bootmenu manger and safestrape3 but i still get all of those craps on mah mobile . I tried everything to google out but no hopes.
So i just want to know if there any way to completely wipe everything n get it like the way it was when i bought it
If any one can help me regarding it i can donate to him too but pls help me regarding it
100x thx in advance!!!
