After I flashed the kernel with official CWM recovery on stock firmware 6.0.B.3.162, WiFi tethering seems to stop working. When I turn it on, it's seem to run properly, but other devices cannot find my network. What's wrong with it? Is it because of the kernel?

Hello guys
I want an app that can tether over wifi and must be compatible with x10 mini (not pro).
Thanks in advance and yes my phone is rooted
Barnacle wifi tether worked on my mini pro. I think it will for your mini

the nAa kernel + ROM has native wifi tether, bluetooth pan tether and usb tethering built in.
Thanks for the info, I will need to install both now

I tried to use the app but it says "No Netfilter" on startup?
I searched on net and found out that This means that the Linux kernel on my device i.e. E10i does not have the features (CONFIG_NETFILTER, CONFIG_IP_NF_IPTABLES and CONFIG_NETFilter)
Now what should I do?
Unlock bootloader and flash a custom kernel? the nAa kernel and its matching ROM has native wifi tethering built in.
Where do i get nan kernel????
I am using cm6

I think you can't use cm6 with nAa kernel. Link to kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1256739 Read carefully before you try to do something.
I have switched over from rooted Evo and was able to tether with wireless tether app. I now have galaxy siii and I am rooted. I am unable to,tether with wifi app. I am getting an adhoc error. I tried other apps but I am unable to get it working. tethering is only reason I root. I am looking for some help or advice to get this working.
thanks
Are you running a carrier-branded ROM? Because the international stock i9300 ROM includes Wifi tethering (AP 'Host' mode) in stock.
I am using stock Samsung rom.
I am having a problem similar I use to have free tethering by disabling the manager in GB but I flashed the ics leak and I can't find a way to make it free again

Well, i flashed the least leak with odin then flashed cf-root with CWM recovery, working just fine, but when i flash ANY custom rom i can't connect to my wifi network, i restored my backup of the stock firmware and i can connect on wifi on the stock rom.
What's happening? help me xD

I need help, fast. After I flashed the 2.3 ftf file (downloaded in one of the threads here) my wifi button suddenly stopped working. I can't check the check box and below the wifi text there's this "error" text. This happened after restarting my phone. What do I need to do to fix this? Will flashing back to my original android version will help?
it's rare case..
because when u flash the .ftf file (if the .ftf is for the correct device[x10])
it should be fine
sound like proble came from wrong kernel
but if you flash the coorrect .ftf it should be good
Did you flash kernel also? If you flash kernel with your Rom, then you must flash WIFI fix for that kernel via Xrecovery. Find wifi fix in thread of your current kernel.

You need to flash back to stock ICS, root then flash Super Nexus. Its something to do with the WiFi drivers. But that worked for me
