Hi, I tried uninstalling YouTube app via TB and now I cannot turn the phone on. The words "Samsung Galaxy SII" appear and then the screen goes black - can't do anything else. Is there any way out besides Odin?

You need to do more information: ROM version (if you have an 4.0.3 or 2.3.x you can do a safe wipe), if you want to recover information or clean mobile, etc.
Well, I'm Resurrection ROM user, v3.0.1 version. Anyway, I chose the Odin way as I couldn't get the phone to work any other way. Everything seems to be fine now. I would like to uninstall YT app though since this one is bugged. Any hints how to do this using TB?

Any one getting samsung apps update on their phone
when i try installing it.. fails.. any suggestions..i tried clearing cache and deleteing data and also unistalling previous updates.. still no go
What kind of updates ? Are you referring to the Samsung Apps aplication or to a certain app inside the Samsung Apps ? I updated my Samsung Apps with no problems first time when i logged into it when i bought the phone.
Edit: Yeah, i got it just now. From 2.5.039, i updated to 2.6.018 with no problems. Downloaded the 3.9 MB and installed it easily.
Samsung Apps Aplication.. When i start it it downloads UNAService Update but fails to install it
I am on VR 1.4 rom

Yeah, first you get UNAService.Worked for me, i'm on Vodafone branded KE5, no root. Try through wi-fi or through phone's data connection if you tried through wi-fi already.
Might be affected by custom rom or root.
I have rooted GS2 with Lite'ning ROM and mine failed on the UNAService just now. I will try via wifi at home later.
tried on wifi ..didnt work..will try on data now..could be due to custom rom ??
Hmm, might be cause of a process you froze ? Looks like that UNAS thing updated com.sec.android.app.samsung.
everything defrost..tried on wifi/data..still no g0
I had that problem and to do the update I did the following:
1 - made the update and Samsung apps updated without problems but UNAService failed to install
2 - made a backup of com.sec.android.app.samsungapps.una with Titanium backup
3 - deleted the file com.sec.android.app.samsungapps.una with Titanium backup
4 - restarted Samsung apps, and its working fine and updated to latest version
I hope it helps.
Hi after delete file using titanium backup samsung apps work but dont want to update :/ can you paste here your una file ? I have una 2.0.9
I thought they updated these through the roms only. Who uses the crap anyways.
I have the same problema on VR 2.0
i have found out through testing that this problem occurs when using custom roms.. using stock + root has no problems..
samsung apps comes handy when samsung releases firmwares for cameras, etc or minor updates..also some premium/paid apps are at times available for free ..so i wudnt say its that much of a crap..
UNAService not installing on S2 GT-I9100
Hi guys,
I've just purchased the Samsung S ii (i9100) and I'm trying to open Samsung Apps. Just to make things clear, I have the manufactures ROM without root.
Upon opening Samsung Apps, it tries to update (version on the phone is 2.5.024). It firstly downloads the UNAService and tries to install. It then complains "Application not installed". I press done and it downloads and installs the "Samsung Apps" update "successfully" (to 2.6.114).
Now when I open "Samsung Apps" it says it needs to update. So i press of and for a split second it starts the UNAService download then it all shuts and I'm back at my home screen. Nothing I can do...
If anyone can help me as to why this isn't working on a stock S2 without root... Seems like it should be the most likely scenario for manufacturers software...
Thanks in advance for any info

I recently flashed CWM onto my uncles GS3 and rooted his current rom. I made a backup and then tried out a new AOSP rom, which we decided not to keep because my uncle did not like it. But now, returning to the old rooted stock rom, every time the phone disconnects from wifi, it completely freezes up on the lock screen. Pressing the lock button does not shut off the screen and instead just locks it. You are unable to unlock it as the phone completely freezes up. The only way to get into the phone is to double tap home to get into the voice commands, and then go to home from there.
But even after that the phone continues to freeze. I tried another ROM on his phone today, but the problem still persisted a while later. It all happens when the phone is connected to wifi, and you walk out of range. After which the phone starts to freeze up.
I'm totally unsure whats going on. I just flashed the rom again, and we are trying a clean slate with no restoring of any data. It may have started to happen after we installed root browser (just as a guess), but we could be completely wrong.
If this continues again on this rom as well (which is Revolution HD) Im going to go back to completely stock (rom & recovery), and hope it still doesn't persist there. If not then I am out of options, and I have no clue what to do.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. We spent so many hours today trying to resolve this.
Thanks!
Usualy WiFi problems are kernel related. Have you tried Siyah or another custom kernel?
If this will not help than returning to stock with all wipes is the best idea, this should resolve your problem. If not, than you can try to reset router or set static IP for s3. Also try to remove WiFi setting for your home network in the phone and set it again manualy or via WPS mode.

Thanks for the reply. This issue has been occurring between two different roms, so can the kernal still be an issue? Its happened with the absolute stock rom (w/ root) and Android HD Revolution.
My uncle said he would play around with the phone and let me know if it freezes again by tomorrow. If it does im going to wipe and stock.
Can anyone show me where to get the stock roms for the i9300?
I've downloaded and tried 3 different ones, but the phone never manages to boot up!

Same problem on Galaxy Note N7000, did your problem resolve by reverting back to stock because I've tried every possible option, to no avail?

Go into recovery and wipe the cache, I believe that was my problem.
Hello,
I've been using my SGS2 for few months and I never was able to use Samsung Apps. Whenever I try to download something nothing happens. In fact there is a quick flash with some message, but it's so fast that I'm unable to read it. Today I upgraded my phone to latest branded orange LPH rom (ICS 4.0.4) and Samsung Apps is still not working. I thought that maybe I need to login to Samsung Apps, but when I try to do so I get following error:

What's that application manager? Any ideas how to make Samsung Apps working on my phone? I prefer to omit full wipe if possible.

Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
Hi
I have a galaxy S3 GT-I9300 running Android 4.1.2 and for the past week or so it keeps crashing and also randomly turning itself on and off. I have removed all apps I have put on it in the last few weeks but this hasn't solved the problem. I also normally have power saving mode turned on but have turned this off as I though this might help but it didn't. I only have a fw extra apps installed and they are all popular ones so cant see that been the problem, I have a few songs on and about 3200 photos on it so was wondering if I have too many photos on it. The time at when the phone crashes or turns itself off is random n happens when im using any app and sometimes I it turning itself back on even though it hasnt even been used. This is a real annoyance for me and highly inconvenient so any help would me most appreciated. I am trying to avoid doing a hard reset as I dont want to have to set up the phone again and load on my apps n stuff. If anyone knows how to fix it or any ideas on what might work please let me know and if I havent given enough info please feel free to ask me more questions.
Thanks in Advance.

Factory reset from settings menu (backup your internal sd card to your pc first) and see if the problem still happens before you install any apps etc. You might benefit from updating to the latest stock rom via odin, read the sticky guides in general on how to do this.

I have done a factory reset and only installed what's app as it's essential and although it hasn't restarted it has crashed several times today and I had to then restart it anyway. Anyone else have any ideas?
Hello everyone,
I'd be grateful if anyone can help me out with a problem I'm currently experiencing with my Galaxy S3.
The phone basically won't boot. It powers on fine, goes through the custom logo (for my network provider, Three) and then goes into the Samsung logo. There it stays, unable to boot.
What I think has caused this is that Three notified me of an over-the-air update to Android 4.3 from Android 4.1.2. I downloaded the update, and ran it, but I don't think it completed successfully and so the phone's firmware is probably now corrupt.
I sadly didn't take a backup and would really like to get the phone working again without losing text messages, apps, app data and so on.
I've looked at various options. I have the correct stock ROM/firmware for the phone (H3G version of 4.1.2). I could use Odin, or I could probably install Clockwork Recovery and use that. But I don't know exactly what I'm doing and in particular, how to keep my app data.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
