I have a few questions about Neo V - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

1. Which is better, stock GB or stock ICS?
2. What is the best ICS or JB (if there is any JB rom) custom rom?
Sent from my Optimus 2X using xda app-developers app

better for what?
if HD 3D gaming then GB, for else id go with ICS

those questions are very general and subjective, every one has own answer ... any way questions better in Q&A section

Neo V cm10 rc0 released yesterday
Good mornign. Last night FXP released cm10(jelly bean) for neo and neo v. As I noticed the kernel is the same as gb(2.6.32) which is very old. Is there any hope to see a newer kernel as in Xperia 2012 series? By the way, thanks FXP for this release!

ICS AOSP ROM for SE Xperia Neo?

Hi all, I'm opening this new thread asking if there will be a rom for the Neo based on the new version of Android: the 4.0 "Ice cream sandwitch". I'm not talking about the cyanogen mod, but only a simple rom with the last version of Android without personalization (so I think more stable and fast).
Do u know if a rom like this will be done? There is anyone in this forum able to create it? Would be wonderful!
Be patient!

I'm not shure that clean AOSP will be faster than CM or MIUI. This custom ROMs includes some tweaks for better perfomance.
Well zdzihu started working already (released a version already as well) on ICS for the Xperia X10 so we'll maybe hear about it soon on our lovely Neo

Jerpelea (FXP) has put up SNEEKPEEK of AOSP android 4.0 on Arc forum
So chances are we'll get AOSP before CM9
All in due time
Also wrong forum, post in general next time

FXP = the FreeXperiaProject Dev Team
CM = CyanogenMod = the name of a ROM as well the name of a Dev Team
AOSP = official/original release = Android Open Source Project
If a tweaked AOSP version comes out on Neo, I wont be going for CM9 I think :/
I was going to move it but there is already a thread about ICS in general section, so thread closed. Regards,

[Q] Official ICS

Hello! I recently bought a neo v. I would like to know if the official update is good, if it deserves the official or a custom rom.
custom rom
Which one ?
If you don't need video recording, get CM9 or AOKP Android version 4.0.4. There are about 5 of them, and it's very smooth. Otherwise, get MIUI V4, it has no bugs, and it's smooth enough for daily use.

But stock 4.0.4 have bugs?I got him 2 weeks, i do not want to root and unlockbootloader so early
Ask that in the rom section from 4.0.4 because now you have 2 questions and which leak do you mean 4.0.3. Or 4.0.4 ??
Be clear enough with that.

This is ray forum..!

Krabappel is totally back!!! I need suggestions for making a rom.

Hello guys
Probably most of you still know me from Ice Cream Sandwich rom, but now I'm back to bring a new rom here
I have the Neo of a friend of mine now so I can make a new rom if anyone is interested???
The rom will be for Neo and Neo V, Arc, Arc S, Pro
I just want to know what you guys need in my rom?
CM10 isn't fully ready for daily use, so I'll base my rom on latest stock firmware for now.
I assume you guys are so I already did some research here today
Still have a lot to do though since I've been away from 2011 line for a while now.
Let me know what you guys think!!
Regards,
Krabappel2548

Welcome back, mate!
It'd be nice to see something new, something fresh, we have alot of stock based roms, which are almost the same, so itll be rather exciting to have something fresh, completely new UIs or some ports! Anyway, goodluck and look forward to your work!
