Standard Android Keyboard is LatinIME.apk from /system/app. You can just grab the file from any CM9-Nightly-Zip for our Tab and install normally. Has been working fine for me so far.

Thanks a lot!
Just installed the stock keyboard and im happy again.
Swiftkey looks nice but for me the stock is enough.

Need a better keyboard!
I'm dismayed lack of a stock keyboard after the ICS update. TouchWiz is evil. I tried SwiftKey but found it lacking because as a touch typist, the keys are all in the wrong place. If they'd include a more standard layout it would be perfect, because the rest of the features are amazing.
So... I need to find some keyboard that is 1) laid out like a normal keyboard, and 2) fast and responsive. The stock Android keyboard would do if I could get a hold of it. Any suggestions?

This is the first HTC IME that scaled correctly on my stock Samsung Galaxy S3 but it keeps freezing. Is this just for custom roms or am I doing something wrong. Hopefully I am doing something wrong and you can point me in the right direction. Great job anyway and I'll be awaiting you answer. Thanks.

I unchecked the prediction box and it works better is the QWERTY keyboard but without the predictive feature which makes it outdated. Also, in the compact mode every time I press the [UI] key the keyboard freezes. Almost but not quite there yet on my SG3. Anymore suggestion ?

Quick question about 4.0.3

Hey guys just a quick question I just updated my gingerbread 2.3.3 to ICS 4.0.3 though the interface still looks the same,
why doesn't it look like ICS 4.0.3?
PS: I'm pretty sure that I didn't rom-ed etc it.
Since I don't know how to do that.
Thanks, guys.

The interface looks the same because its still the same touchwiz... You should normally see differences in the settings app and when you hold down the menu button (recent apps)

Hey bro thanks for the quick reply.
I would want to change my UI though.
Is there any rom at all that can change my 'touchwiz'?
if yes kindly also give me a tutorial for it.
Thanks.

I am currently using sensation rom and i like the interface.
You could check out the topics of other roms.
If you really want something differend, you could flash any CM9 rom, they are build from the source up so has notting to do with touchwiz.
Do know that you will have a slightly worse camera and transfering files to your sd card will be slower and some other minor bugs.
I used CM9 for a long time and like it alot! But i still prefer samsung roms as they are better in many ways. Sensation rom is based on samsung.
(if you go to CM9, you need to do a full wipe)
Try also vertumus theme

How to get Atrix's stock keyboard on CM7?

Hello guys,
Anyone know how can i get the default Atrix 4G keyboard back? When i tryed it, before installing CM7, i just loved it... i like the CM7 keyboard and used to use it on my old LG Optimus One, but i could never actualy use it to write e-mails, chat in GTalk and everything else, because the letters are too close one to another, so i always press the wrong ones... but Atrix default one was some space between them and worked great for me.
So, any help? And if it isn't possible, any recommendation about good keyboards? Swype isn't an option by the way, never got used to it.
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english :S
not possible withought a port.
try the "LatinIME.APK" mod in this forum, it makes the CM keyboard bigger.
or you can flash Nottachtrix 1.3.1, its amazing !

There is that APK that you install in system/app as root and it gives you a much better keyboard.

Actually the 5.0 can supposedly run 4.0 roms (some of them anyway). There are just some issues with things like auto-rotation and the camera. But, if you don't want a brick, it would be wise to avoid flashing stuff for the 4.0.

I just successfully ported iChaos over to the 5.0!
I'll upload the build tomorrow.

lol...im sry. Im a total noob and its the first ROM port i've ever done, and some others were asking if it was for the 5.0 also. So i thought I would give it to them. But yea you are right! What android user in his right mind would want an ios themed ROM? But then again it would be nice for an ios user that just switched to android!
Ok here's the build for the SGP 5.0 US (I havent tried any other versions). Its the original port and i havent had time to work on it much, so there are a few bugs. I wouldn't recommend using this for every day use until the bugs are worked out.
Known Issues:
No boot animation
Camera preview is jumbled up in video mode (might be camera apk) still pics are fine
CWM(don't boot into it unless you plan to flash a different ROM! Because you wont get out)
EDIT: I dont have time to test it right now, but i think CWM might be ok. After i went back to stock I still had the problem, so I would recommend flashing entropy's kernel if it gives you any trouble. The link is below.
Kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445840
If you find anymore let me know! I should have time to work on it somemore this next week.
Its not just an ios themed launcher! It has ios apps, and the music app especially looks identical to ios.
Link: Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 US
Ok here's the second build. I fixed the boot animation and CWM works fine now. The only other thing that I know of is, the camera preview for taking videos is still jumbled.
Installation:
Flash Entropy's Kernel first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445840
Then flash iChaos: iChaos_vTB2_5.0.zip

[Q] Customizing the top bar

Hi everyone,
Is it possible to customize the top bar on the Sony Tablet S?
For example, I'd like to remove the native browser and add either Chrome or Opera. Also I'd like to add the GMail app.
Thanks!

It seems that you are running an old version right? In ICS 4.0.3 r5 you just need to press (and hold) the application to remove and add a new one.
The old ones I don't remember.
