neo v bricked..only green light.. - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hi..
It all started when the wifi in my friend's neo v suddenly stopped working.i.e it wont turn on and when we switch on the wifi, the phone hangs. Then he updated the software via pc companion to ICS.The wifi didn't work after that..Then the phone started switching off by itself and it only turns on sometimes. He took to service center and they kept it for 2 days and told that they are unable to flash the phone due to some error.Since the phone was purchased from Dubai and the international warrranty is not available here in India, they told him to send it to Dubai for fixing it.
I tried flashing using Flashtool but it gives an error like "Block verification error" and the flashing is aborted. When we press power button, the green light flashes once.I want to confirm whether it is a hardware problem.Pls help.
Thank you.

1) After update with PCC, have you tried to do repair?
2) have you tried do clean flash with SEUS ?
3) if all above fail, post that log from falshtool.

I had that all the time....had to do it through KIES in the end
Why don't you just use Odin? One quick download and then flash the phone. If you prefer using the phone and not a computer get Mobile Odin.

[Q] Xperia P reboot loop

HI ALL,
i have been facing a problem for last two days. I updated my Xperia P to JB using pc companion. It was working fine. Suddenly there was an issue in the morning the day before yesterday. It suudenly started to Reboot automatically.
First the logo of sony and xperia comes and dissolves. Then the default loading wave of xperia appears but instead of going to the lock/home screen it starts the booting process again and this process repeats.
I switched off my phone using lockkey+volume up. i tried to update/repair my phone using PC copanion and Sony Update service. Both case the latest software is downloaded and installed. But after installation when i try to switch on, it goes to the menu screen normally and asks me to select time format, language etc... but when it asks me to search for Wi-Fi networks if i touch on 'search for available networks' it falls in the same reboot loop again & the Home screen never comes..
afterwards, i skipped that step of WIFI and now it works fine.. but the problem is when i hit the WIFI it falls in the same loop. Now i am in a fix ... i dont know how to solve this and without WIFI there is just no use of this phone
the device was not rooted nor flashed before
What should i do? Try to flash my ROM?
PLZZ HELP ..THANKS IN ADVANCE

It's a long shot but have you tried to reboot your router?
Since it worked for a while, and you repaired the phone and it still exists, I am guessing it's not a problem that related only to the firmware.
Could be hardware problem.

I had several times my phone would not be able to connect while other devices did, bithing but rebooting the router helped.
Bootloops usually come from flashing a bad rom......... Never heard of this problem before....

Flashtool and Sony Update Service Error (please delete)

Hi all,
EDIT: IT SEEMED TO HAVE FIXED ITSELF - MODS Please delete thread!
I have had my Sony Xperia Z Ultra for a while now and experienced many of the bugs read on this forum.
When I saw the .532 update for the HK version I immediately went on to flash it officially via the Update Service (mine is the HK version).
It updated fine without but I couldn't turn the screen off fully and the backlight stayed on continously draining the battery very rapidly.
So I decided to restore the device fully via the Official update service and this when the problem occured.
It started updating without problems but after a few seconds it just stopped and told me there was an error.
I tried it a few times to no avail and get similar result with the flashtool.
If anyone has any suggestions fire away.
Also, BL not unlocked, not root and neither custom recovery.
Many thanks
How u fixed the problem ?
Just interesting....

Z2 (D6503) can't make phone calls after restart

Hello,
So yesterday I just solved my own issue of not getting any LTE signals by reinstalling the FW.
Today, I followed the advice of a user to restart the phone using PWR + VOL UP buttons to get the smoothness back. I did just that, phone became smooth again with the phone registering on LTE network.
But what happens now? I can't connect to Mobile Data AND can't make phone calls. I can run USSD code to check my balance and can receive calls just fine but cannot make phone calls.
Any ideas? Do I need to reinstall the FW again?
Model: D6503 FW: .314
Try flashing the baseband for your firmware and see if the problem persists.

I actually tried repairing it via Sony PC Companion application on the PC but to no effect. I'm suspecting it could be a HW issue but what baffles me is that it used to work fine (apart from the LTE issue) and only after I tried repairing it yesterday did everything work correctly and wham in the morning this happened.
try to flash the latest FTF again using flash tool..and check if it can help
