"Your device isn't compatible with this version" - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have been using Wanamlite v1.8 and v2.0 and I am getting "Your device isn't compatible with this version" message in play store when trying to install some apps. There are more apps that don't install, but at the moment I remember only "Youtube" and "Adobe Photoshop Express".
Any idea why?
This did not happen with stock roms.

you think you have problems?!

I know exactly why. Its because the apps arent compatible.
Problem solved.

Wow, what a genious responses.
If the DEVICE is not compatible, how the hell I was able to install them with the stock ROM?
I also heard that other people had tested and installed those two mentioned programs via Play Store to Galaxy s3 AND Wanamlite v.2.0 with no problem.

Try clearing market cache/data....is the lcd density modified to other than 320dpi? And do you have the correct csc if you are on Samsung Rom?

Meaning not compatible with custom roms .
I also heard that other people had tested and installed those two mentioned programs via Play Store to Galaxy s3 AND Wanamlite v.2.0 with no problem.
Heard go back to who you heard
or logic says post in the relevant rom threads as those who use the rom are more likely to have found a workaround .

Yeah, I would if forum didn't have this "clever" 10-post rule for new members :silly:
Slaphead20, yeah, LCD is set to 295. I will check if default settings will help. Thanks for tip.

Cleaning cache and resetting LCD to 320 didn't help.
Installing whatever apps became now much slower than before. The files/updates are downloaded 100%, but nothing else happens for ages -- until finally the app is installed succesfully. With one simple cache cleaning app, it took 12 hours to install it.

I don't know what is csc... What should it be and how can I realize if I have the correct one?

I knew that I was correct. It was not so that "It's because the apps aren't compatible".
I wiped the phone and installed the same firmware again.
Now those "your device isn't compatible with this version" -apps are installing totally normally.

Problem with Dlev7 1.3

Hi, this is my first post in this forum, and I have installed the rom "Dlev7 1.3" from Dlev7 for my samsung galaxy s 2. and after installing it I realized I had no APNs in the list where should aparecer.hice wipes and all appeared, but I have neither the spare parts, or the BLN control, or the MOD Jkay. so I have no shutdown CRT, and you do need something more. Why are deleted?
Now I'm looking to return to them and not do it, just do not want you to remove the unlock screen appears an application. (when I had the mod Jkay).
thanks
Yoi need to look and ask your questions in Diev thread.

There is no problem with the dlev rom 1.3. If you are installing it for the first time , you have to make a full wipe installation method, else you will have problems.
Also posting this in the dlev rom thread would be appropriate....

I had a look in the Dev. section but as clearly stated in a sticky thread, that would be the wrong place to post a stock rom. I looked there for comments from those that have installed this rom but can't find any thread, sooo...
Has anyone installed this? how does it compare? any new features or performance boost e.g. in browser? or flash support? or google talk with video?
Thanks
Now i am downloading it. I'll install in half an hour. I dont know what was changed, or performance. I am thinking to install cyano mod on kpw.
I use this rom. It's very fast and most important change is that camera focus works as it should. In previous FW, auto focus worked only on first shot. In my opinion this is the best stock FW till now.
can I use this firmware even if I have now S5830JHKC5 ?
Thanks
How do you install the effin' thing, it's obviously not for Odin..... n00b!
The few times I've used Odin it's always been individual files. I did eventually find out about the' single package' option elsewhere.
Civility is free for personal use. Some people need to try it......

As said above, it does show on my rooted phone. No CM7 needed.
You need to search again.

[Q] Is it possible to disable Noise reduction ?

My Galaxy S2 has the Dreaded Echo problem . after some digging it turns out the noise reduction is the culprit , however there's no way to turn it off except manually with every phone call which can be frustrating ..
Any Tweak or app or something that changes that ??
Some custom firmwares like Checkrom have a phone mod in the kitchen app with nr disabled by default. I think you can also download just the mod itself. Should be in the themes and apps section. Search there it Google for it.

I also mentioned there should be a separate phone mod without having to go the full rom route. You might have to dig around rom find it.

So i was able to flash AOKP's latest without major issue. The only thing i need are the Google apps, and i know in his thread he says flash Gapps... which i assume are the Google Apps (play store, etc.) only, i dont know which apps i need from that link provided, as there seem to be a bunch of apps, only i have no idea which ones are needed? can someone provide a little guidance? Thanks in advance...

Thank you
I did try to read most of the thread, but in the first post of that thread, only link i see for Gapps is below:
GApps
--h-t-t-p://goo-inside.me/gapps/
Which simply lists all the available zips of google apps. This is the first time i've ever seen Gapps separated from the rom install, which might have been part of my initial confusion.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

all cm9/aokp roms are flashed separately from Gapps bro. its how its always been. this must be your first time flashing one of them? and you dont need to pick which apps you want out of that zip. just flash it in CWM.
Yes it is the first time i've flashed one of those roms. I've had been running ICScrewed (multiple versions) for the last 3 or 4 months. So never had to flash the Google Apps.
Again, thanks, It makes sense, I understand it now.
Thanks everyone for the help.
I do have a question, if you flashed the "wrong version" of the Gapps, coud it hose your phone in anyway? or could you just reflash the correct version in cwm?
