Airplane mode quick toggle in 4.0.4 - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm very happy about the 4.0.4 updatr, but now the airplane mode toggle is missing from the quick settings bar.... Am I missing some setting, or do I have to download a third-party widget?

Is there a homescreen widget to toggle airplane mode on/off in JB-4.2.x?
Widgetsoid for example only opens the settings menu, no direct switching.

Solution for JB-4.2x:
Switch Widgetsoid to system APP (root required).

Is there a way to change status bar sound control to "Sound/Vibration/Silent" ?
Currently it's alternating only between sound/vibration....
I just got my Galaxy 2 days ago and I am unable to set this phone to be silent wihtout vibrating... its really annoying and I wish I had stuck to my Desire HD.

Mine doesn't come with a "status bar sound control". What are you using?

Bit of an overreaction, but okay. Go to settings, sound and set vibration type in there.

Mine is STOCK too
Dunno mate - bizarre.
Have you tried messing with the vibration settings to see if it turns on silent without vibrate?

Yes, if you keep the Vibration = Never, under Settings> Sound; then the switch toggles Sound and Silent (without vibration)

Your Switch is changed to toggle mobile DATA.
I have a Data toggle when i long press power button. what do you have there?
Just a thought... can you scroll this bar to the left by any chance? May be to reveal the hidden sound switch
Can't help you with the status bar control, but the app Widgetsoid will give you a widget that does it.

My power menu is the same as yours, and no - the toggles in the notification area can't be scrolled left and right. It's just different.
Anyway, I use the SwitchPro widget to toggle stuff that's not in the notification area, and that toggles Sound on/vibrate/sound off. Can't suggest what to do about the one in question though.

[Q] Notification toggle button on Jelly Bean?

On my stock ICS ROM there used to be a toggle button that enabled me to hide the notifications in the notification bar. A very usefull feature as I use my phone a lot to show technical pictures to customers and when sms and what'sapp notifications pop up, it doesn't look all that professional. On the different Jelly Bean ROMS i can't find this option anymore. Has it just disappeared from Jelly Bean? Or do i need another ROM? Now using Omega V27.1. Thank you for any advice.

It's there on jb.. Press and hold the notification.. You will get an option to go to app info.. From there you can toggle notifications on and off
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
It's been rolled into the "Blocking mode" feature. Open (the main) Settings from your app drawer and you can configure it from there. If Omega uses the original toggles (and not the 15 toggles), you can also configure Blocking mode from the notification bar (and turn it on and off from there).

Apologies for my incorrect reply, it does seem to be removed - the notifications feature of blocking mode only seems to refer to incoming call notifications

OK, thanks. A shame really. If anybody has other options please be so kind to let me know.

[Q] HTC WiFI switch/widget?

Anyone know why the HTC WiFi switch is not just turning on and off the wifi, instead its bringing you to the wifi settings?

Not sure.. I use Power control App .. which also allows you to add a row of toggles to your notification pull down. It has a native flashlight toggle as well which is handy.

Are you talking about the "Power Control" HTC widget? That's what I use to avoid this PITA with wifi. If that's what you use too, then where did you find flashlight and the ability to add toggles to notification area?

No, it's an app in the play store: Power Control Plus

multi-window on/off

Anyone know how I can add a shortcut or toggle for multi-window on/off? I would rather have that option because I tend to accidentally turn it on too often with the back button so I would like to disable that.
There's already a toggle in the pull-down notification bar I believe.
Not on Beans, it's gone. I would love to know if there's another toggle solution for this as well.

[Request] Option to limit Quick Settings toggles

Quick Setting toggles in Paranoid are awesome, I really appreciate how they work.
However, I miss the option from CM to edit the toggles behaviour, intended as which options the toggle can show.
In my specific case, I would like to:
- remove the Device option from GPS toggle and use just Low/High precision
- remove LTE from Mobile Data Switcher, as I have no 4G traffic (I love Italy for this things... and sarcasm) so I can have 2G and 2G/3G (someone maybe prefer 3G only)
If anyone has any other preferences, write them below, I'd apreciate if others have my same thought.

Will try to understand JIRA in this case...
also, if we could get an update on that quick notification settings so we can decide if left or right edge of screen shall pull it down.. not just random.
thank you
@Pirateghost I can't register on JIRA; is that normal?

It stucks in an infinite loading; later I'll check if something change (I'm writing from the uni, as my computer is not working)
Re: Option to limit Quick Settings toggles
Whenever, I start my phone, all the toggles are there. The other best thing about this I had discovered is in order to remove them, one can simply turn off the toggles via notification switch or just via uninstalling the entire app.

I have no idea what this means. The QS tiles are not able to be uninstalled.
