i have a problem with my phone
i am using custom rom litening v6.1 when i installed it on the stock rom it worked fine now i want to go back to the stock rom but after flashing it with odin3 it dont work i mean the phone dont go further it only shows that big S sign on the begining and restarts and keeps doing again n again when i again flash the custon rom it works fine ...need some guidance... trying to install JPKF3 stock rom for S II

Hi all.
I have installed CWM 4.0.0.9 by "install sdcard:update.zip" in the default recovery menu.
Now i can't enter in recovery menu any more. Maybe something went wrong.
The phone stucks on the "samsung" logo.
What can I do?
I have android 2.2.1 on the phone not rooted (like just bought).
I really appreciate your indications!

cwm is only for 2.3.X Android! Reflash you rom using ODIN, or flash directly to an 2.3.X rom.

I would like to flash directly to an 2.3.x rom. I guess that I have to use Odin.
I have found only roms (custom) that require CWM.
Can you suggest a 2.3.x custom rom (already rooted), with Odin procedure?
I don't know where you from, they are differential rom for Europa, Asian and other. If you want an European rom I suggest 2.3.3 KPO, 2.3.4 KPH or the latest 2.3.5 KS9, you can find it on XDA, just search in the development section or general. But you can't find a stock ODIN rom that have root already.

Hi guys, i updated my GT-19100_CHN_CHN 2.3.6 to 4.0.4 through android paranoid1.4 rom but i don't like 4.0.4 because of alot of bugs in it.
Is there any solution that i can restore back to my old official version 2.3.6 Thanks for help in advance.

Download Odin (can be found in this forum)
Download your stock firmware 2.3.6 (I dont know about the CHN_CHN Version)
Put your phone into Download Mode. (Power Off, Hold volume down+home+power button)
Run Odin
Choose PDA file which is your stock firmware.

I tried this before when I first flashed to CM9, I get bootloops. Since then, I forever stick to ICS and never trying to convert back to GB although I wish to do so. I dare not and i'm lazy to deal with the bootloops.. I not sure why I get bootloops btw, some other ppl faced that as well. So I hope this brother able to convert back to GB successfully. Good luck.
To convert back to GB you have to flash an old GB bootloader for some reason after flashing the stock ROM. After that do a full wipe, everything else ended up in a bootloop for me.

Yes I succeeded converting back to GB stock ROM, now I'm on french ICS.

I can flash GB stock GDZKL3 after flashing this bootloader right? bootloader should flash before flashing rom, or after flashing the rom? Thanks.
I tried both options. Try flashing the bootloader at first but don't forget to uncheck "Auto-Reboot" in odin. After that you should be able to flash the stock GB ROM. Do you have a jig just in case of any problems? I remember I used my jig, but don't really know why.

Do u have Kies and with it all USB driver for it installed?!
If no, ur phone can't be found from ur PC.

Stock rom using Checkfus and install using Odin is the best option.
But what ever be the STOCK ROM you are going to flash, be aware of the fact that 4.0.4 has dangerous "mmc_cap_erase" that can potentially lead to hard brick. So take care not to wipe anything from recovery.
(4.0.3 might be a good option)

If you flash a stock rom your root will be removed. You can root again.

What version of android were you on before you tried this method? Ics, or gingerbread? That thread is for gingerbread versions only. You need to flash the one for ics and you'll be fine.

Everything you needed to root is in here. If you were on ics you were to install usb drivers, Then using odin flash ClockwordMod, then flash superuser. If you were on ics and used odin to flash the gingerbread version you will be stuck at the Samsung logo. I'm guessing that you were on ics and this is what happen. Now to fix it I'm unsure if your to revert back to stock first, then go thru the process again using the correct software. Or if you can just flash those to fix it. My recommendation would be to revert back to stock.
