Help with Kernel selection - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Which kernel would go best with CM9 when it comes to maximum battery saving. I am currently running FXP kernel on my Sk17i and I am recieving very poor battery performance. Also what would be the best governer for the same?

Right now cm9 supports only fxp kernel.

underclock your phone and use governer smartass v2 and also check the battery status that which app is draining your battery faster.

Good SetCPU App for OpenOptimus 2.2.2

I am not pleased with my Phone performance. I wanna set it to 769 MHz. Any good app there?
hey
use andy rom or mik rom 6.6.1 which is built in pure performance plus battery
and if you are thinking that what can I do with that rom which has lot's of bug
then think again becuase it's not big deal for performance and battery
Use setcpu.
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
But as aspee said.if you want performance, then use mik's cm7 6.6.1 + Franco's kernel.
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
I got some problems with it, no service, please help!
uh baseband old or new?
i dont use setCPU am using the built-in one on mik OS cm7 6.5.7 when on standby and of normal usage i OC it at max:600 min:480 and when am browsing the net(using Opera Mini i prefer speed i dont need need flash **** ) OC at max:672 min:480 and when playing angry birds my OC'ing is max:691 or 710 min:480 all with smartass governor using fserve's gbs kernel v18a i only OC and set the max higher (787) for quadrant, neocore, etc use since higher OC'ing when not in use reduce battery power IMHO..
yes, setCPU is alright with openOptimus 2.2.2
Use set cpu its a good app
my phone works well at max 806/245 OC
but the HD games or any games or app apart from the default ones crash if i open them
so now my cell is at OC 787/245
with smartassv2 governor
nice performance
no frills cpu

Battery Backup Help
Any suggestion for battery backup please, I have Xperia Mini Pro SK17i ICS 4.0.4, since, i updated to ICS i'm experiencing very low battery backup, any suggestion and help will be really appreciated.
I have wt19i aka LWW as well. I used ICS and for battery life it was horrible, though I liked it. Anyway, I searched many forums and they recommend SonyDroid. I just installed that and it appears to be fine, though still have no idea about the battery. Here is the page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626455
The problem is that the walkman button does not work. In fact you have to install a zip to get Xperia player as a workaround to this problem. The DEV says version 7 will be around soon which hopefully fix this problem.

ICS stock ROM has an battery life issue..
Solution: Unlock BL(at your own risk ofcourse), then flash a custom Kernel like KRsH kernel or FXP 132 Kernel.. these kernels give better battery life as compared to stock kernel..
Further, you can more enhance the battery life using No-frills CPU Control (Google Play).. the recommended governor and I/O schedular IMO is SmartassV2 or Interactive and Sio repectively..

I personally will never for ICS again. It is not at least optimized for my LWW. Even custom ROMs could not help.
Ics sucks big time

About Stock Kernel Modification

Is there any way to customize a stock kernel (Like ZSLPG or something) to have CPU undervolting capabilities or, even BLN ???
Because, I like the performance & stability of the stock kernel too much but, the battery gets used up fast.. So, CPU UV would decrease battery consumption.. I love BLN too...
Any solution or tweaks ???
Just install syiah kernel that give u everything wot u want even more

I like Rage Kernel
Mesa for battery, Panic for performance
Sent from my WT19i
How about rooting your Android phone? you can choose CynogenMod, best available so far. When you ask about battery life there some that you should considered first.
1. What are the Apps that sucking most of your battery life.
2. Some Apps has tendency to run on background and connect to internet every time, such Apps prone to suck most of your battery life. if you have such Apps installed, are they really necessary? if not then quickly uninstall it. I will give you better battery life.
If you planning to custom rom, you may end up with some compromise, search and find that those compromise are really compromise? is not they rush for custom rom and I suggest CynogenMod.
If you find my information is helpful, a thank will be appreciate. :good:
For me - Do use MESA or Rage Both great on battery life
Now using MESA
Can anyone make a customkernel for cm10 with more governers and scheduler like sirkay's ray kernel and with undervolt?
Gesendet von meinem Xperia Mini Pro mit Tapatalk 2
mesa ftw :highfive:
only because i cannot connect wifi with rage and panic...
Definitely, MESA is great
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1715679
I use mesa ... And install no frills from play store and set governor to smartassv2 and scheduler to noop for even better battery life!
Press thanks if I helped

[Q] High battery drain CM 9.1 Xperia Sola

Hello all, I'm on cm9.1 by fxp and I'm experiencing high battery drain, I'm using speedy sola 5.5 as kernel, tried different governors, I'm temporarily on conservative it seems the one that drains less, tried also powersave but then phone is too laggy, Max frequency 1k, I'm also using juice defender to turn off data while screen off. I also did battery calibration
Anyone has any tips to share? Ty

Don't use juice defender. Use FXP kernel. Try out Greenify, Seeder, Smart Ram booster.

Set auto-sync OFF for all( gmail, facebook)..
Select all your apps in greenify except ram booster and place a Hibernate now shortcut on the homescreen, click on it whenever you end up playing heavy games or do hard multitasking.
You may try out SlidingXU kernel. InteractiveX with sio gives best battery life. With these settings my battery won't drop a single percent when not in use.
Good Luck..
