I would just like to say a few words for those that will listen. It's been a great ride this past half a year or so, and I'm glad to say I've had a wonderful time here in the Droid Eris forums. The Eris has made quite a name for itself (along with the help of many, many amazing devs and loyal users ).
However, today (after a very diligent watch on the internets) I have scored myself a like new Droid Incredible for around two hundred dollars. I was amazed I got away with the deal and it also came with many extras. I was very happy with my decision and it will be here in about a week.
So, now it is my time to move on to the DInc forums and leave my favorite place on XDA. But don't think of it as goodbye. I'll be back every once in a while, answering questions for newcomers to the best of my ability and checking up on my favorite devs. Farewell for now, I'll see you guys around.

I want to say thank you to Froshed and Tazz for making my Eris worth it while I had it. I switched to a Verizon iPhone and I love it. I go from a phone that was very cool to use since I was able to upgrade the ROM's, but the battery would always die pretty quick. Now, I got a phone that lasts 4 times as long.

Hmmm, personally I would have much rather bought an extended battery (for a quarter of the price roughly) then an iPhone, but thats just my preference.

I personally would have gotten a newer Droid like the Droid 2 or Incredible, or would have waited until the Thunderbolt came out

Making it in regards to more of what is promised or pledged, that way he knows where it is coming from too. He is doing a lot of work, and not just on our phone. Be nice to say, hey, here is $300 from the X2, or what not.

Yes, you can, which you will still do when you make your donation. But like I said, not everyone has PayPal for one, and for 2 it is nice for both sides to say we raised X amount of money for your continued support. Don't ditch us when the next 35 phones get released over the next 2 months, lol. (Even though I am jumping ship myself and would like to see this ROM on my next phone).

+1 to that! The way I see it, this dude has to have a life and a job/school, etc outside of what he does for the X2, Bionic, and Charge! He is doing this(primarily) by himself, without a team like CM7/MIUI who still don't support our phone!

They don't support b/c a) need an unlocked bl for their support and b) no dev really is working on it utilizing the 2nd init.

They were capable of getting both to work on the X1, albeit, they might have been a PITA, they still did it.

As our boards have been a bit slow (for the exception of our amazing off-topic thread ), I began playing around on the Android General forums. I came across a thread a while back from an XDA member who creates custom signatures and custom ROM posters. I have had him make me a few (I like simple, clean sigs). He recently made one as a gif that has flashing lights on a car. I've been so impressed with his work that I wanted to share the link with you guys. I know we all like having sigs, and thought maybe you guys would like something tailored to your likes and interests. I also wanted to bring this to the attention of our devs, in case they want a badass ROM poster (or could be mod posters, etc) for their work.

eclipse is a sweet rom...nitro does not put out alot of builds, just quality ones!
Eclipse is my go to rom every time.
I started with it on my x2.
I've gotten to the point where I make my device decision based on if eclipse will come To it hahaha
Fanboy? Yea sure, but there's good reason for it. Eclipse is just that good. I can't wait to get my note2 and have some eclipse love on that beast!

I ran Eclipse on my x2. Lord knows that if it wasn't for Nitro, I would've smashed that phone into tiny pieces a while ago.

Yes I have a Note 2 but have no real plans on coming out of retirement from full time developing.. Putting together the Gummy series (AOSP one) burned me out hard.
Glad to hear you have this device. Sorry to hear you got burnted out. Your family and personal life comes first always. Sorry I have to admit when I seen your name it brought back my x2 days. Liberty and eclipse were the best! It would be sweet to see you guys do a little something together possibly even if you were not full time. Sorry just a pipe dream
