Hey guys, I have a NEO V and I wanted to ask why my phone is not being updated to ICS officially. Everyone I know who owns a NEO V has been updated.
You connected your phone via usb cable , and opened PC companion?
Ahh well what the hell... Since it was my wife's phone I was not playing with custom roms for it.. But I just installed Official ICS rom manually... So this thread may be locked

Hi peepz, I just got a Xperia neo v ... I have unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone to get su access as I wanted to remove some unwanted apps to free up memory . . I heard that Xperia neo v will soon get d ICS update... now my querry is can my phone be updated to ICS ? :confusedt: (I have not flashed my phone wit a custom Rom yet )

Well form my knowledge you cant do is officially threw the update service as you have unlocked your bootloader but once ics is out I bet you could flash one of the ics stock roms which are publish on XDA

I plan on unlocking my Neo V boot loader,will we get ICS if we do so?

For official updates, you need LOCKED bootloader.
Else your phone will be DEAD when you instal official update.
You need to find a way to RELOCK

help me,last night i try to unlocked my booltloader using quanghut method, then it went success, after thar i flashed ka19_ics using cWm method, then my phone just hanged up in sony ericsson, i tried to flash it via flashtool but it cat find my device,, what should i do,please help me, i dont have enough money to buy a new xperia neo v again ,,, thanks
I have the st15i xperia mini with unlocked bootloader. I already tried some ROMs but they all had bugs so I installed the stock ROM again. But now the ICS update came from sony and I cant upgrade. It says that I have a changed version of the firmware. Is it maybe the bootloader that makes the problem or something else??!!

so when i connected it to the pc . the sony pc companion comes up
and telling me that there is new android software is avaliable for your phone
so can anyone tell me what is that update ????

It might be a small patch ove ICS.. don't expect JB for tipo

You have got Factory buildversion as 11.0.A.1.8 on your Xperia Tipo Dual
As sony itself provides updates to their user, So what u are viewing is and message to inform you about update.
You can update it using Pc Companion.
Choose to keep data other wise you will loose things on your device. Choose update option.
The Update you viewing is a TFT update from Sony
The New Buildversion would be 11.0.A.6.5
Android version after this update will remain same as 4.0.4
