I have an Barnes and Noble official case called the Tasume cover. It can act as a stand in both portrait and landscape.
The only thing is you'd have to take your NT out of the cover to access the SD card and the microphone.
get the one with a hand strap
I've got «CrazyOnDigital Stand Leather Case with Screen Protector» from amazon, had to make a little hole for the speaker for it to be louder but other than that pretty nice one for little money ($14.85 now)
I use an M-Edge Incline case that I picked up at Best Buy a while back. The feel is really nice and it has a few different positions that you can stand it in. You do have to remove the Nook from the case in order to access the Micro-SD slot.
Link to manufacturers page is http://www.medgestore.com/products/nook3-incline.psp?device=nooktab1
I have one of those soft, baby blue ones, but I don't really take it too many places right now.

This is the cover I have
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/p/leather-writers-cover/20831275?ean=9781616837211
Works well for me since I can use it as a stand in certain cases and in others like the case of flash video causes the video to turn the wrong way making the stand useless.
FWIW I bought this case for my NT, it's a very nice and inexpensive case.

I got something similar http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/300722422070?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 for $10.88. It ships from Hong Kong but I got it within 1 week plus.
The grey is more like brown, and the build quality feels a little cheap, but for this price I'm really satisfied.
Resurrecting a very old thread here....
If I had ESP I would have bought two cases when I got my first Nook Tablet back in the day. What I have is a very sturdy, nice, plain black "leather" case (maybe an Industriell?). I love it. It's made for the NT and holds it securely.
I recently acquired another NT. It came with a very sturdy case (also made for the NT). Someone would probably pay really good money for it but I think it is incredibly ugly. I really don't need to see John Lennon peering out at me every time I pick up the tablet.
I can't seem to find much that is made for the Nook Tablet or Nook Color. B&N has all these pages of stuff that are nothing but dead links. Very little on ebay except for the folding or easel types. Anyone have a lead?
Edit: and the solution was fabric spray paint since this particular case was fabric covered. It took quite a few coats to obliterate Mr. Lennon, and the case was a bit tacky for awhile, but that eventually went away.

I just bought a soft Sylvania case at cvs meant for "up to 10.2" netbooks". Fits great especially if you leave in the foam insert.
Thanks for the tip! I'll have to go there tonight on my way home.

+1, love me some pics
have to check that out when i leave to go home!
I just picked up a Swiss Army netbook case at Walmart. It's $18, but worth it I feel.
I try to post a link... here.
I stopped by the cvs by my apartment on my way home tonight- it's basically like the zippered carrying case sold at Sears in the Viewsonic packaging except that it has no carrying handles.
I went with the HP Mini Slipcase ala:
http://www.compuvest.com/Desc.jsp?iid=1422615
Cut the lining open, slipped the foam packing insert inside, and now I'm good to go.

I had that one and returned it. Its a very nice case, but it doesnt fit the G Tab very snug at all. It moves around in there a lot.
I got a Built case from Office Depot I think for 12.99 or 15.99.
http://www.amazon.com/Built-LH10-BLK-7-Inch-10-Inch-Hoodie/dp/B001N44UI0
Can be found for cheaper, it has a semi-rigid backing and it fits the gtab pretty well. nice to transport it, but I still want a fitted case with a cover to use it in.

I also noticed the little bubbly things on the inside smudged the fingerprints on the screen and made little circles everytime I took it out of the case =). Not a big deal I guess, but had to wipe it down everytime I took it out of the case.
Ended up getting an incase case from Marshalls for $12. Its also intended for a netbook but its tighter on the sides so even though theres quite a bit of room up top it doesnt move so much since its snug on the sides.

This looks like the $5.99 one listed at Sears: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00382006000P?mv=rr model GTCLC-22 Holiday.
However a few members had issues with its smell: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=865392 ("G Tablet Case")
That is the same case seling at sears for $5.99
Walmart case
I bought one of the sears cases. While I liked the idea of having handles, I felt that it did not offer enough protection for the Gtablet. So now I use it to carry my power supply and keyboard/mouse in.
I found this case at Walmart and it fits the Gtablet great. I have not had any problems with it causing the power on button to be depressed. I left the foam padding in the case to further protect the screen. I paid 17.99 for it. But I have seen it as high as 22.99
http://www.walmart.com/ip/SwissGear-Lunar-10.2-Sleeve-Black/14964986
But I assume if you tried to push in from the sides you could force it to come on.
Hope this helps

This is the exact same one that Sears is selling in Viewsonic packaging. If you can find one at Sears, it is/was on sale for $5.99. I bought 2 (one for each g tablet in my house) If you let it air out for a day or two the smell goes away.
Hey all,
I found this on amazon. Thought maybe some might be interested. It's a cheap alternative and I've already placed my order for it. 9.58 isn't alot to spend and that's all i figured I'd lose. I ordered the brown one but there's a black one too. Might be a cheaper alternative to the tuf-luv case since some were worried about the bulk. I'll update this once I receive it and give you some pics.
Since it won't allow me to url tags or give out the url, search for Navitech + Asus and you should see what I'm talking about.
Let me know what you think!
This looks JUST like the Elsse Premium Synthetic Leather Case (there's a thread about this elsewhere in this sub forum). They were having a discussion there about whether or not the case would work with the dock as well, and I guess the answer would be yes, if you unfasten the velcro?
Can anybody confirm?
Is this what you mean? Looks good if not a little thick when all combined.
Anxious to hear any reviews.
Yeah...that's what I was talking about...apparently they must have had a huge messup with the price because I got one yesterday for 4.99 + 4.49 shipping....they've sent it and it looks like it's coming from the UK...anyhow...the 4.99 are gone and they've got only the 19.99 left. I'll give a review once I get the case...even if you undo the velcro, you can still to a material store (joanne fabrics, etc.) and get a longer velcro strap to hold it together. Thanks!
Wouldn't the rooCASE Slim work the same way?
http://goo.gl/V0RMe
roocase does not do the samee thing at all; this has a case for the tablet, then also for the docking port and then they finally work together somehow.

Looks like someone gave it 1 star on the Amazon product page. According to the reviewer it does not accommodate a docked tablet too well.

Looks like the reviewer may have a legit point. If you look at the sideways pictures, you can tell the tablet is not docked. The tablet hangs over the edge of the dock by almost an inch. Anybody who has the tablet with the dock knows that when it is closed, there is almost no overhang. I know I won't be buying it.
With that said, if anyone knows of a better case. Even one that would store the dock and tablet separately, I'd like to know about it.
ilgadets,
If you're interested in a sleeve case, I recommend this one:
http://www.overstock.com/Luggage-Bags/Wenger-Swiss-Gear-Legacy-10.2-inch-Tablet-iPad-Netbook-Slimcase/5804731/product.html
It has two zippered pockets, handles, a removable shoulder strap, and pockets on the front and back,
and it fits the Transformer and keyboard dock (separately) perfectly.
The handles can be slipped into the pockets, but that adds "bumps" that I didn't like.
I wanted the thinnest possible case, so I cut off the the handles and the triangular clips for the shoulder strap.
I think this is one of the best solutions for carrying the tablet and keyboard separately.
Regards,
Eric
FWIW - I grabbed one from best buy for an HP Mini 10 and it works perfectly. Fits very snug with the dock, and i feel safe carrying the tab around in it. Also has a zip pouch for a cleaning cloth, HDMI adapter, headphones, and other small items.
Was about $25 iirc... so a little bit more than what you're looking at here.

I have the exact same one, mines black and kinda has a 3D cube kinda pattern on the front. Anyways, I'm an employee, so mine only set me back $7. BBY employee discount is changing though, so that won't be the case in the future.
Anyways, case fits great, holds tab or tab+keyboard excellently.

I ordered this case last week and so far I am really loving it. First things first, I really like the build quality. The case gives you alot of options with different viewing angles which is nice. It has leather on the outside and felt on the inside. All ports are accessible and you can even plug into the keyboard dock without having to remove from the case (huge bonus for me). I don't have anything to compare to but it seems very slim. I have never been a case guy for my phones but with a tablet I don't think it matters as much. Overall I am very glad I bought it. For the price, $25, the quality is second to none. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Link to sale site below.

Edit: i do want to add that I just noticed the speakers look like they might be covered in the pix but when you take off the bumper guard you can see they are not covered at all. If anyone cares.....

I bought the rotating one too and hate it
The popper is a stupid idea, impossible to remove and attach with the TF insde without almost cracking the screen from the back
Should have been Velcro I think, I might replace it
Also the TF doesnt sit straight inside it, so the camera is partially covered by the back of the case

I don't know. Very sturdy so it SEEMS like metal. It's covered in leather so hard to tell.
I have the blurex case same as OP and love it. I've had several different tablets and tried most all the versions of cases, and this Blurex is the best I have ever had. It is extremely functional also looks really classy.
I ordered the Blurex case after reading your review and I just got it in the mail today. Its really nice, the fit is perfect with no slipping or sliding. The only thing I dont like is that the bottom is quite tight so its kind of awkward to put into the stand mode. Im sure itll break in though with use.

Looking at the pics, it looks like the NT would snap into it at the four corners rather than any edges. The NT's mic is a small hole at the top of the device, offset from the center. I doubt this case would block it.
[Edit]
Sorry, I should check the reply more closely before posting. I was looking at the one from Best Buy.
This is the one I picked up. It's pretty nice, a couple of different angles to stand the NT up, and it surrounds the whole thing, so it's pretty secure.

Got it, hate it. No way to really fold the cover back and use it in portrait mode. Cover doesn't close flush with the nook.
Really nice quality leather.
If you case closes flush with the nook then I might be wiling to get a replacement and see if this one is defective but I don't think the magnets are strong enough/the groves to hold it in portrait prevent it from closing flush.
Just got the Speck Fitfolio in black. It fits very well and does not make it feel bulky at all. They have also extended the "vegan leather" on the back over the hard shell making it look far nicer.
Ok I purchased this case. Like the feel of it and its not too bulky. BUT, whatever chemicle they used to coat the leather absorbed into the bezel of my nooks rubber paint coating and caused a brown spotted discoloring.... I tried to clean it with alcohol and other cleaning products but its absorbed in the coating ... im pretty pissed to be honest. I just orders a skinomi woodgrain skin to cover the damage up, and plan on taking pictures and contacting the case manufactor to have them buy me a new nook! WARNING TO ALL!
I purchased this case
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005MZ35NM/..._am_us?ie=UTF8
I've had it for about 3 weeks but haven't used it due to a very
strong chemical smell. The smell transferred to my hands after unpacking the case.
I've been waiting for the smell to go away before using it but after reading posts regarding damage the Nook finish I may never use it.
At the time I purchased my Nook I also picked up a B&N case that was discounted 30%. It's much better quality, I really like clips that hold it in place. Very quick and easy to pop the Nook in and out. The B&N case was approximately $10 higher cost but I feel it's higher quality case and worth the cost difference.
Three different cases for $5 plus tax. I picked up a Casemate pop.

Red; do you have the case yet? If so, is the echo on the callers side an issue with this case. I want to order it before the sale goes off but have had so many problems with echo on other cases..I hate to waste even 5 dollars again.

Got it over the weekend and I haven't had any complaints about echo. However, this case is thick! It no longer fits in my desktop dock and almost doubles the thickness of the phone.

hmmm..
I think I'll go ahead and get it. It is still on sale as of today. I guess with free shipping the most i'll be out is 5.40 anyway. I don't use a dock and I am thinking a little thicker might not be a bad thing for my big hands anyway. I'll let you know how mine is when I get it.

Do you have it yet? Awaiting your review so we can see if we want to spend another 5.50 or not, LOL
I just checked this AM and they are still on sale.

I really like the case, its about the same thickness of my platinum series or "seido" case. It's very lightweight with the phone in the case. I like the design a lot and it fits nice in my hand. It doesn't really feel like rubber but more like plastic, although it IS in fact rubber. The leather and stitching is on point, it gives it a nice look and feel. The side treads? Gives the user a good grip. Ive seen a lot of reviews saying it is hard to put the case on, but for me it wasn't even close to.being difficult. For $5 its a steal. High quality case seems like it'll be able to go through many drops without any problems. One more thing it hugs the phone very snug so you can rest assure that the phone won't pop out and it will stay protected. Here's pictures:
The buttons on the sides arent bad btw. The case does not affect my screen protector (rise along the edges or corner). Heres the inside of the case:

Thanks for the review and pictures. I was on the fence about getting yet another case (I have 3-4 ebay specials I swap in & out), but the pictures really make this look sharp.
Just ordered, $5 for a $18 case is a steal.
