Do you want the Full RUU that flashes Stock Recovery and that?
Yeah that would be great!
Here are all of them. Just make sure before running you must be Relocked.
And how do i do that with hboot 1.4?

im not quite sure, if that person is goin to use it to build of it then yea, but if that person is goin to try and restore from it than i say no, because i tried restoring my backup on my girls phone and it wouldnt got through, but i dont know im just sharing my experience
If you are worried about it, do a factory reset first.
i wouldn't do it. why would someone need it. there's plenty of roms and images if they are trying to cook roms. no need for personal info getting out cause something was missed.
Not development related.
Please keep non-development related threads to the eris general sub forum.
Just ran into a problem with enterring stock recovery and it asking for a password. I was trying to do a factory reset, and was not able to boot the phone.
Was trying to go back to stock and reroot to try and solve a problem, and ran into this error. Solution was to get into download mode again, rerun the "return to stock" software, and then reroot and install a custom kernel, and then do a factory reset.
I'm not exactly sure what caused the issue, and I think if I ever decide to do this again, I will factory reset first, then flash the "return to stock" software.
It was very odd, and I'm glad I was able to get around it and get my phone working again.
Um, ok... so whats the point of this?
I think, but I'm not sure, the point may be that I need to add an extra item to my return-to-stock documentation - if you're running device encryption, you need to wipe BEFORE returning to stock.
I think it's silly that stock recovery won't let you wipe without a password though, since usually wiping is the desired end result of a security error.

I had a pattern code set. There would be no way to enter that into a keyboard, so I'm not sure what password the software would want me to enter. A quick search on here showed someone kept re-entering the wrong password and it would eventually wipe the phone anyway.
I guess any type of password should be turned off before attempting to return to stock.

Umm, Ok...This is the general section, where all topics regarding the phone that aren't related to development, apps, or themes go. Shouldn't this be the proper place to discuss this?

I didnt know anything needed to be discussed after reading your OP. You had an issue and you got around your issue. If it is something that needs to be documented in the return-to-stock package, it could have been brought up in that thread.
i was wondering if anyone can help me my son got a hold of my phone which i had left on the table with file explorer open was trying to mod some thing.... don't know exactly what he moded or deleted but i had to do a factory rest.........now things get even crazier....no matter what i try to install it says insufficient memory....i can no longer root cause it says eloc_library[1315]: 14871 cannot locate 'android_reboot'...CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE...also everytime i try to connect to my wifi it tries to obtain the ip address then sits with disabled underneath it along with the type of security for it....i am running 2.3.6 on the rogers network in canada.......i have no apps installed and a 16 gig memory card with 11 gigs available.....sorry if i am in the wrong section but i need help real bad!!!!would hate to take it back to rogers in this stae.....i have been using the motofail rooting method
If you have clockworkmod or any other custom recovery then you may flash the stock rom, this will help for sure (the question if you can do it). Factory reset doesn't reinstall all files of the system, just cleans the data, so if something was deleted it was not recovered.

sadly,i am a noob at this and that was what i was working on at the time of this disaster.....so i can say that i do not have a back-up!!!!!!!!! thanks for your response!!!
Please tell me you did a Nandroid backup immediately after rooting your phone. It is the first thing I do after rooting incase myself or one of my friends accidentally delete a critical file. If you did it would be as simple as booting into recovery and doing a Nandroid restore.
*EDIT* Sorry I did not catch the last post where you mention no Nandroid backup, with no mention of the phone model or manufacturer it is difficult to point you the right way (For example on a HTC on Sprint I could point you to the RUU to basically set it up as it was when it left Sprint for the market) Including these details will make it easier for someone to point you in the right direction. On better examination it appear you are using a Motorola track down the SBF file for your phone and reflash through RSDLite

Does anybody have the stock recovery.img file? I cannot find it anywhere and I need to restore it.
I've also been looking for this, I think tomorrow I may go to a tmobile store and see if I can pull it from a demo phone. I don't think you need root to do that but I'm not sure o.o if I can do it though I'll put it up here
---------- Post added at 09:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:58 PM ----------
I lied on accident I guess I would need root for that. Should've known :/
There is no ruu yet. Search the forum and you'll find how to return to stock.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
As far as I know the stock recovery isn't available though, at least not for the tmobile one. I've found it for the ATT and original HTC one but tmobile's isn't available. Idk if lkimmel7 found or still needs it though.
I still am looking for it... I made the horrible mistake of encrypted my phone using the built in encrypt option in android... and because I have CWM recovery on it, I cannot undue the encryption.. (obviously because my recovery partition cannot read the /data or /sdcard with it being encrypted).
From what I know, the only was for me to get my phone back to normal is to flash the stock recovery, then boot up normally, then use the factory format option from the android menu.
Somebody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

You can get the stock recovery in that thread its in the first post. I'm not sure if it'll work for what you need to do or not I've never needed to do that, but hopefully it does what you need it to

That recovery will not work for a T-Mobile HTC one, I have been trying and trying. Its the same recovery found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2158763 Which also does not work.
I can only assume that it needs to be the carrier specific recovery. The ones above will not actually boot into recovery and if you relock the bootloader it gives a security warning.
Yeah, that recovery doesnt work for me.... and now it's looking like i need to do a full re-flash, but I cannot find all the need .img files..
Total bummer, BE WARNED: DO NOT ENCRYPT YOUR PHONE. huge PITA

Thank You!!!
I'm actually not sure whether this will actually work on my device but I will still try. I wish to install the new OTA but I couldn't because I was stock with TWRP since I never made a back up of the Stock Recovery. (I don't know how). Anyways, about to try this and thank you so much for the mirror! The Dropbox link was no longer working.
I am using stock T-Mobile Rom with HTC Sense, rooted and S-Off. I hope it doesn't take S-Off and if it does, well then screw it. I don't really need it anyways.
Thanks again! I will edit afterwards telling if I had success or not. Fingers crossed.
I've seen mixed messages about this so I figured I'd ask to be safe. If I root my S4 and put TWRP recovery on it, I can flash a stock ROM in Odin and everything will be back to stock and official status for warranty, correct? Thanks.

This is completely off topic and I am very sorry for this I am just very desperate. But I mistakenly deleted a system file I shouldnt have without backing up and now the play store, youtube etc will not let me login. Can you make a backup of all the system files or even make a rom? Thanks. If you can it would be greatly appreciated. my email is [email protected].
Dark... you can do that but you would then have to lose root. My suggestion to you is you use the unroot method in superuser if your superuser has the option or get universal unroot from the play store. you would restore your backup of the stock rom and then remove all that you can like recovery and then use 1 of the methods i mentioned to break root.
The point being is you can go back to complete stock rom but if you are still rooted and they see then "no warranty for you!" (heh warranty nazi)

So, if I used Odin to flash the stock ROM, my status would still show "custom"?? I thought if you flashed stock, it unrooted and put it back to official?
Also, michaelgg13, if you can tell me which file you are missing, I can try to get it and send it to you if that will help?

Thats the thing I am not exactly sure which file it is. Im kind of stuck. it must be some sort of google service. Is there anyway to backup all of the stock files? I am new to android so I am trying to figure this out haha. Thank you for answering though.
no the su binaries will stay which gives superuser the write permissions to the root of the device such as /system
Flashing the rom back just puts all the files back as they were, plus you backed it up with the su binaries intact so it will still be there after the restore of stock rom

Ah, I see. Well, I've added a couple different things into my system files so I don't think you'll want all of that. However, if you have your files and contacts backed up, there was a thread somewhere either here or on another forum that had the stock ROM that you could flash with Odin. I could try and find that for you if you want it.

Ooh...I think you might have me mistaken. I'm asking if I flash a completely stock ROM with Odin. NOT a Nandroid backup or any other form of backup. Just a stock ROM with Odin. Would that reset everything back to official status?

EDIT: just tried the link again, it is actually taking me to the download page but the download doesnt work. so close i can almost taste it!
EDIT 2: after reading their facebook page they said they are having dns issues, so they should be back shortly!
ahhh maybe you will break root then. If i remember right from my Bionic if i FXZ'd with House of bionic it redoes EVERYTHING wipes the system.img.. just everything boot.img all of it.
I'm not exactly sure how that would work to be honest cause flashing the rom back may still leave those binaries in... this is something I'm not totally sure on but i still do not think it will break root.
