As far as I know everything works (although not 100% sure about Fm radio)

You're building this yourself from source code?
Or just modifying other phone's binary to work with the Ray?
If compiling from source - are you publishing your mods anywhere etc?
I'm still learning how to build/compile for the Ray, so interested in chatting about your work here.
Thanks!

Ive build this from KangXperiaSource (https://github.com/KangXperiaProject).
They have published a pretty good tutorial on how to compile: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1767578
But you will get lots of errors you need to fix, ive put some fixes for ray on page 9 of that thread.

I've just finished building a gcc 4.6.3 ARM cross compiler, so I'll have to give it a go.
Thanks for putting some fixups in the thread

Ubuntu on FXP's CM9/CM7

Heya lovely Xperia community!
So, I came across a topic in the Arc/S forum, saying they could install Ubuntu on their phones.
Was kormatoes trying it as well on his Neo with 1 bug appearing, USB not working.
So, anyone tried to install Ubuntu on CM7 or CM9? If yes, what kernel did you guys use?
If some of you wanna try out, search on Google Play "Ubuntu Installer".
There you'll get the links to download Ubuntu, APKs you'll need to install it and the easy steps to install it.
If you do, do tell, so I keep this topic up to date, to let people know.
Working with:
FXP CM9 v111 + Zdzihu's data patch + provided kernel from Zdzihu's data patch
Not working with:
Yes me and qwerty both had same bug simple flash with ftf fixed our problems
Give it a try good stuff

As said on first post, if you tried, do tell on which ROM/Kernel you were.
Just so people know, please.
We did do this months ago maybe some issues were addressed
Yes be good idea to get some sort of list going on confirm/fail/comparison for future reference for people

[FIX][ALL KERNELS]Video Recording on CM9 and AOKP

I was just browsing the AOKPlay thread and I found a fix for the video camera, ive tested it on CM9 nightlies as well as AOKPlay builds 37 and 38!
This means you can now record videos using the camera app on CM9 and AOKP roms
Instructions:
-Flash zip in CWM
-Wipe caches and dalvik cache (otherwise you may get a FC)
-Enjoy!!

It's too buggy bro. It needs to be whether properly ported for our device or just be left for those who badly neeed it. On the first try messed my font. Then force close camera frequesntly and had to reflash the ROM. WOuldn't recommend anyone to use it yet
I had the messed up font weeks ago before this and and your correct them ar arc files you should get them from play cm but main thing is its working on aokp that's a massive step considering still some other phone don't have video record yet on aokp but never mind i digress lol
big thanks fxp

Hello
Have you compiled it yourself?
Of are they the original files from 4.1.B.0.431?
As far as I can see, it is only the files in the lib dir that differ from what is in CM9 FXP.

But have you compiled the files yourself or is it from 4.1.B.0.431 (or another Sony ICS build)?
I am asking because I would like to know.
Sony has provided the sourcecode for the sensors, but so far it looks like they are not as stable as the builds that Sony is using themselves.
So it would be nice to know if you are using your own builds or are using the files from 4.1.B.0.431 (or another Sony ICS build).

Since Sony released the official ICS, the solution to the accelerometer had existed, but as I said thank kamarush, caused me to create a zip with the solution, and works 100%.

[DEV][JB 4.2.1][Alpha 0] CM 10.1 now for PLAY[WIP]

Hi all!
During Christmas holidays I have some time to develop and so I thought to begin this new project. I need of course the help of other developers.
In particular I have a problem. Hardware modules like gralloc, memalloc, hwcomposer, etc don't compile, so I have copied these libs from my old 4.1.2 rom. I don't know why.
What works:
- GSM
- SMS
- Camera
- GPS
What doesn't :
- Audio
- WiFi
- Bluetooth
- Data
Download:
ROM + Kernel
Cretits:
AOSP, FXP, CM, Sony and all the others
Thank You, really good job
I have also compiled a build of cm10.1 which didn't boot, maybe you want some part or whole of it?
I don't remember having problems with hw modules
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
No, but what steps did you follow to compile it?
I followed the steps from Here page 13 from nickholtus replacing the branch to cm-10.1.
Cheers seems that GSM doesn't work at all in contrary to what the OP states.
Just tell me if you need logcats.
GSM does work, at least for me. Are you sure that in your ROM were present libgralloc.so, libmemalloc.so hwcexternal.so hwcomposer.msm7x30.so and all other .msm7x30.so under system/lib/hw?
Supervenom said:

yes, you are right. I didn't try yet. My first problem is to understand why some modules don't compile. Maybe something is changed between 4.1.2 and 4.2.1...

maybe that can be of some help to you
if we use xperia arc rom as base will these problemes be fixed?
Maybe you guys can use LuPus' PAC ROM sources when he releases the next version. He said that it was possible and also told us that other than Bluetooth not working, everything SHOULD be fine.
