Hi guys
So I installed a few different widgets and stuff today off the play store. I only installed ones that had lots of downloads like 100,000+. Installed a few and then uninstalled a few so basically I have installed and uninstalled lots of different widgets today. So now I've noticed a strange folder on the root of the phone just called d. I've attached the screenshot of that folder and also the contents. Does anyone know what this might be?
Second thing I've noticed I also have 2 apps in my app drawer - Appcenter and Gamezone - see attached. There not apps in their own right as I cant uninstall them as there not showing up under app manager etc. All I can delete is the icon form the app drawer - when I try the uninstall of the app from the app drawer it says the application cannot be found- remove from app drawer? All advice appreciated.
The AppCenter and GameZone things appear to be part of GO Launcher... I'm guessing their latest updated today added them to the app drawer.

Cool thanks for that - thats one of my issues sorted then!
Is this confirmed? I don't want to unnecessarily wipe my phone.
I also have those two apps in my drawer. And since there are active, but not uninstallable, i don't trust them... I also have the impression those app are eating up memory since my phone looks to be much slower. I did check taskmanager, but see nothing special. How do i get rid of this ? Any help welkom ! Thx

I successfully rooted my NT (thank you Indirect) and in setting up GoLauncher with its initial settings, it noted that there was a new "tablet" setting for the launcher which makes icons and such larger.
I hate this look.
Is there any way to change it back to the settings for a phone instead of having everything larger? I've scoured the settings to change it to the phone size, but can't find it. I thought I'd be able to uninstall it and reinstall it, but I can't even figure out how to do that.
can anyone help?
I know there is a setting, but I'm not near my NT to look. When Go Launcher updated on my NT a couple of days ago there was a pop up that said the location. I'll post back when I find it.
I use appmenu so i can manage the app. Then uninstall the update and from market i unflag the automatic update... Old version done

Yeah, I tried this, but it's not quite the same. I was really hoping for the phone sized option instead. Everything's scaled down and not just some of the icons.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
yes,I dislike that large icon neither
so I just reinstalled the old version
you can download it from their web

OK, dumb question then. How do i uninstall it? I've been using Uninstaller to uninstall apps off the tablet, but GoLauncher doesn't display in the list of apps. Is there somewhere else to uninstall it from?

On my SGS2 after sorting all my menu icons into groups on different menu screens e.g. one screen for games another for music apps etc, after rebooting for whatever reason the icon are all scrambled randomly around all the menu screens and I have to sort them again, and yes I do save after sorting. Obviously this isn't a major issue but it is annoying, any comments or suggestions (apart from stop being so anal). Thanks.

Be nice if you told us what ROM you are using and what launcher you have installed
You could create individual
folders and put your apps in that
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Well I would've if I'd actually changed the rom or launcher, have root ( used cf-root, kernel DUKJ1) apart from that the phone is unchanged.

Yeah already have some folders but they too get scattered randomly, thanks anyway.
Yeah but could you not use appzorter from the market and that would sort your folders alphabetically?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Had this once with tw 4.5. cant remember how I solved it. Every time I restarted the launcher it just messed up the icons
it happens for me too,i got 400+apps but its sometimes annoying but still iam on stock an the phone dosnt hickup even with full load...
Sounds familiar...

I had a similar problem which I fixed by clearing the TwLauncher data (in Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> All).
Doing this will cause all the current icon positions to be lost, but it should start remembering them going forward.
I think there was something corrupt that prevented the icon positions from being saved.
Hopefully this works for you.

Thanks, i had a look at that but i'd prefer to have these particular icons sorted into groups rather than alphabetically, thanks anyhow for the reply.

Hi,
When ever I turn my phone on, I always get:
"Unfortunately, Apex Launcher has stopped"
What could be causing this?
use android injector from your pc to install any other additional launcher. clear cache and data of apex
Or you can uninstall and reinstall apex launcher again.

just in case you have done a backup before you can try this:
go in recovery mode, backup and restore/advanced restore/choose the backup/restore system..... that should fix
otherways if you don't have a backup done you can load the same deodex rom on your external/sd and then go on recovery.....
hope this will help you

for that purpose he can use "android injector" to install any launcher, after that he can switch to that launcher and install/reinstall/uninstall apex
Tried Android Injector for the same problem, fails to load new launcher every time. Thanks anyway for the suggestion though

not to necro, but heres an easy fix
The problem was bad (or improperly upgraded?) saved data in the launcher app. Here's how I fixed it.
At the dialog above, press "Report"
When in the report screen, drag down the notification bar at the top of the screen.
Press the settings button in the upper left of the notifications area.
Tap "Apps", then "All", then Apex find Launcher in the list. Tap Apex Launcher.
Tap "Clear Data".
You lose your home screen customizations, but at least the phone now works again.
you can also just choose to uninstall it

Same here, after the update today (09/24) Apex launcher froze. Since I had another launcher no issue with phone's operation.
Is clearing the data only option? or is there any issue with the latest update?
Clear data didn't help me after today's problem.. seems to me that there's a problem with this certain update
you can enter the settings using the drag-down menu and then uninstall updates to the launcher
you lose your settings and home screen..
I had backups for them so just restored them and it's working again
hopefully they'll fix it soon

Updated launcher today...
Had to uninstall the update
all better now
Thx

This is the only thing that worked for me. Uninstall updates. It seems that the new version of Apex Launcher (v1.2.5) constantly crashes. Hopefully v1.2.6 comes out soon!
Looks like an issue across the board, I'm still stuck.. All users have reported the issue in the Play storelink
From s3forums:
"The Dev has been contacted and a fix in progress"
Who knows how long but at least they know. I'm gonna keep my settings for now and suffer with my uncustomized Go or TW or whatever for now. Hopefully it wont be long. Nice beta testing huh.....
Ver:1.3.1 working great

Apex Launcher is back, dev has done a great job in bring it back in a day!! Go ahead and grab the latest version and enjoy the launcher.
I installed Nova launcher to get my phone working. And to be honest, I think I stick with it for a while. Multi select app to put them on a page or create a map is very easy.
Maybe it is also possible with Apex, but it have not found it.
Introduction
MinMinHide can prevent specific apps from being seen by the other apps(including launchers). Unlike other modules that hook into launchers to hide apps from launchers, MinMinHide directly hooks into the PackageManagerService to intercept the APIs querying installed apps. So MinMinHide can be used to hide apps from launcher, prevent games detecting cheating apps...etc.

If that is implemented, can MinMinHide work as a disguise of non-rooted device by hiding Supersu?
I tried RootCloak for that purpose, but it is not effective for many of banking apps..

They check for many "root-related" things. And probably using native code.

@FatMinMin does it support gingebread? if not will u add support for it plz?
Installed version 0.1.1.
Worked at start.
Then the module itself gone missing.
Neither in installed apps nor in Xposed.
And hidden icons also gone.

Is it possible to hide an app from being seen by only one certain app? For example, hide "app-x" from being seen by " "app-z" but app-x can still be seen by everything else.

This is what I'd had hoped this app would be I mean all the "hacks" for games an everything from apps not working together
Looks like this will be a great app after additional features are added
The only thing I can see so far is that hidden apps still show up in the play store's "list of installed apps"
Is it possible to hide them from there too?
Otherwise, keep up the good work
(I am on 5.0.2 Lolipop, running an LG G2.)

Yea, if you have Titanium Backup, you can go to an app's "Special features" tab and under the "Play Store/Market" sub-category you can choose "Detach from market." It somewhat works..haven't messed with it in awhile, and it's a little bit buggy(apps re-appear in the list of installed apps in the play store every so often), but it does work. Hope this helps ya! :good:

I'm guessing this means you don't plan on adding the feature sometime in the future?
Titanium backup solution works, but I'd prefer if I didn't have to use it, one because of the chance of it not working, and because that's the only reason I have titanium backup installed now xD
I ticked an app to try the module, then left the app, even rebooted but the ticked app is still shown in the launcher (SlimLauncher) and the 'apps' menu in the system settings. So I guess I can say it doesn't work
Can I provide logs or something? Didn't see anything in the xposed logs but maybe I just didn't look closely enough.
