after flash some rom my cell phone 3g speed very slow, just 20kb/s
but i change to old rom, the speed also very slow too,
is any boddy know what happen with that ?
your data connection has everything to do with your data provider, and nothing but connecting with your phone. Set your data connection to gsm only see if it improves.

but i switch my simcard to my friends cell phone . it gets 200kb/s......

APN settings or something
I know using my Amaze 4G (AT&T medianet APNs), I get only 9kbits/s up 1000 kbits/s down using the Speedtest.net app.... going through a browser and trying a download tester site, it goes around 1000kbit/s each way.... when I tether, Speedtest.net app on my tablet says 1000kbit/s each way

I am on bionix 1.3.1 and have noticed that whenever I turn my wifi on it seems to not allow me data access. My web browser will not connect to a page, market won't load, and any downloads that were in progress will fail. it's as if turning on the wifi is overriding my data connection and blocking it. It says that it's connected in the menu though. Any advice?

Edit: I just noticed when looking at my phone stats, that when I turn on my wifi my mobile network state says disconnected, and it connects again when wifi is turned off.
Also, I have an airport extreme and a mac, perhaps that is my problem. I've scoured the internet and found a bunch of info about this problem, but haven't found anything that works yet.

Im sure someone will correct me if Im wrong but if you switch from wifi to 3g while downloading the download usually will fail because you were using only wifi to download the content and when that turned off it doesn't just switch to using 3g you have to manually retry the download using 3g .... when wifi and 3g are on wifi doesn't speed up the 3g instead it does the internet related work and the 3g does the text and phone call related work
that makes sense, thanks. as for the connection problem, it is definitely mac related. my wifi seems to work on other networks. I just need to figure out how to make it work with the airport. It's just weird to me that it says it's connected and shows signal bars, but won't access the internet.

so is the new problem that the airport extreme won't give wifi to your phone or that its not working at all
According to my phone I am connected via wifi to my network from the airport, however, the phone cannot access any internet functions when connected. When I disable wifi, it works fine with 3g or edge. It seems to be something with the settings on my airport, not the phone itself.

That's surprising maybe this means apple products are biased
Im having troubles with my data connection. Basically, there isn't any data connection at all. Im sure that i have the correct APN. I can see the "E" (yes, its supposed to be E, its EDGE) next to the signal bars, but the upload/download arrows won't turn on. Its like its not even trying to connect. I can use WiFi fine.
I live outside US, in the Dominican Republic to be exact. Im using WetDream 1.4.4. Any solutions? Thanks!
Update: I tried with another SIM card with data enabled from another carrier, and the Atrix was able to connect to the data service fine, and i could access to the internet, but still no luck with my SIM. :\

Try flashing a different kernel. I had the same problem and flashed faux's 1.3GHz unified kernel and now everything is working as it should

The problem that was I did not have data on, and I had Data roaming on. So go to Settings > Battery and Data, and turn data on

For some reason I can't browse the internet when using my wifi connection and talk on Verizon's 3G network at the same time on my Note 2. When attempting to browse the web & talk simultaneously my data connection does not function (even though the phone shows I am connected to my wifi router) when on wifi & in a 3G area. The phone's wifi connection works great when I'm not on a call. I can simultaneously browse the web while on a call when I'm on Verizon's 4G LTE network without any problem. Is anyone else having this problem? Am I missing a setting? Thanks for your help!

As long as he is on WiFi while talking on the phone, like he said, he should be able to use it perfectly. If he was on 3G only then of course he wouldn't be able to but being on WiFi and talking should be perfectly fine, I do it all the time.

I recently installed via kdz v20a from mexico, did a factory reset after this. But if i connect to 3g and after connect to wifi (dosent mattet if i still connected to 3g or already disabled it) my 3g signal dosent disappear grom statusbar. There something i can do?

I think in Mexico rom 3g image always display what ever you connect to 3G or not. I flashed that rom several times and always see that image but I cannot access website or 3G notwork. If you click enable mobile data button up/down arrow will appear below 3G image. It indicate that 3G is connected. Not sure this's a feature or bug.

I'm sorry, i said it wrong. The EDGE signal doesnt go away when i connect to wifi, like im connected to mobile network AND to wifi. In other JB roms is not like this, when connect to wifi the "E" signal dissapear.

Maybe P768G Mexico user can give more information about this feature. I notice this strange behavior when I use 3G in that rom. 3G image always display whatever my phone connect to 3G or not.

I think this is the normal behaviour, but the EDGE icon when connected to wifi i guess its not. TELCEL 20A from mexico doesnt have this "feature", so i think its kind a bug or something
I dont use TELCEL rom because of the bloatware
My connection was fine, but as I boarded the underground metro, my Signal and Mobile Data was lost(Obvious case)...however after that the signal came back, but my mobile data is not working since then...I restarted the phone...took out the battery, re-inserted sim...but I am not getting back my mobile data connectivity
PS- My device is not rooted...
Ok now...the mobile data connectivity automatically returned...

Maybe it's something with your network providers
Actually the sim was not being detected the following day...the sim was damaged...had it changed
