Guys i have Xperia sola with frimware build 6.0.B.3.162 which had crappy network issues.now sony had come up with 6.0.B.3.184.
When i try to update it using PC companion i and getting a error message "Unable to install or start phone software update components."
attached the screen shot.
help me out what to do

i flashed stock rom of thailand and singapore(both are official) but still no sim and camera error

what is seus?
Use SUS not SEUS
SUS = SONY UPDATE SERVICE
SEUS = SONY ERICSSON UPDATE SERVICE
U can find guides on how to use it.
SEUS is meant for Sony Ericsson phones

Use sony update service , if that also.does not work.. Dwnld stock rom ftf file and flash with flashtool

A friend of mine has Xperia U!When i tried to update it from gb to ics neither pc companion nor sus recognize his phone!Pc companion says that the phone must be to msc so as to be updated.but when i go to settings,Xperia,connectivity there is no msc!only mtp!how i can change it?Also is it possible to make root in gb?

Is ur phone in usb debugging mode? Try using debugging mode in dev options if u haven't. Else download .ftf file of required ics firmware from forum in flash via flashtool.
N rooting in gb is possible search 4 d same ull surely get an answer

Problem was my pc did not detect my phone.So i had to charge it and press Power+Volume up until it has 3 vibration.Then Power+Volumedown in the computer worked.Anyway thanks for the help guys !
