Is there a way I can have both these apps for SMSing in the same way I could install Go/panzi/handcent sms at the same time as stock.
I kind of like the emoji of CM9/10 so would use it for that but keep stock for most of my smsing.
I can easily just replace Secmms.apk with cm10's mms.apk and it works fine so I know both apps are compatible with my system,

Hello.
I was wondering if there is a way of getting the native mms.apk from stock 2.3.3 ROM to a CM 7.2 ROM? I tried copying the mms.apk from a stock ROM to system/app folder in phone, but it isnt`t working.
Sorry for being such a noob.
I asked a similar question and here are the answers...
Is there way to install stock apps in custom rom??
Well that's just too bad. I really liked the stock messaging app.
Hi,
I have put the latest ICS leak on my SGS2 which funny enough I find better and more stable than the official XXLPQ.
The only things I miss are the stock ICS apps such as the ICS calendar, stock Email for Exchange, stock dialer/people apps etc ... but I also kind of like Touchwizz launcher and would like to keep it.
I have downloaded the latest gapps but is it safe to flash these over a Samsung ROM and would it bring the stock ICS apps that I am after?
I have searched on the forum and found few threads about stock apps but not really what I am after.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Anyone can help for this?
I am trying to get the Email app from the CM9 ROM installed onto my LP3 stock Samsung ICS.
I have tried to copy Email.apk and Exchange.apk to /system/app but that doesn't work, the app is not visible under settings/applications...
I would love to get the stock ICS apps (sms, contacts, email, agenda) on the Samsung ROM (LP3) which I find very stable
Hi..
Just tried few AOKP ROMS.. like AOKP, Omega etc..
I liked the included messaging app the best, specially the option to disable sender name and/or the entire message content's to be hidden.. It really sort out one of my biggest problem in Android Stock ROMs.
Now is there any way if I flash my Stock ROM yet can use such kind of messaging apps or mms.apk from AOKP ROMs cause replacing my original mms.apk with AOKP mms.apk didn't help anyhow.
Thanks.
Is there a group messaging .apk we can install? We have it in the stock ROM and supposedly JB has it also. Every ROM I've installed does not group my MMS.
Any suggestions?
(no GoSMS)
Hi, please delete if this already exists somewhere.
If anyone has a working 4.4 aosp mms.apk with built in emjoi support to replace the stock app please let me know. Currently running aosp with Iwnn IME emoji support but has to get manually switched in input methods.
Ive tried flashing and using root browser to put in other asop mms.apk into a 4.4 kit kat rom and cannot get the apks to work. Thanks!:good:
