Hi Guys,,
I need some help. I have an O2 Lumia 800 from the UK. I am currently outside the UK, and want this phone unlocked.
I dont have the original sim either.
I am even open to having a custom ROM installed.
Can someone point out what options I have right now to get the phone unblocked.
Appreciate any help,
Thanks,
crusieUser
If you have the option to install a custom rom then you have the Qualcomm bootloader, if so you can use NSS from this forum post

I think i have DLOAD, what options do I have?
Hi Guys,
Just wondering,
Cellularunlocker.net has unlock codes for Orange, will this work with O2 ? (just curious)
Your options are (as far as I know) to get it unlocked from O2 themselves, if a website say's "Orange only" then they won't have the codes for O2.

Hi,
I bought a TMobile HD2 unlocked in India. Am planing to update the phone with the latest software version from TMobile. Once i do the update can i use the same unlock code to unlock my phone so that i can use it.
OR
Can i install a custom rom with Windows & Android installed.
Am just worried that if i install a custom rom if the same unlock code will be still valid.
Thanks

If your phone is carrier-unlocked (either when you bought it or by unlocking it through your carrier or some unlock-code website), it will stay unlocked.
The carrier-lock (or, in your case unlock) is dependent of the IMEI number of your phonee (and this is something you can't change )
So, it doesn't matter how much (or which) ROMs you flash; it will always be SIM-unlocked .

Thanks for the quick responce.

No, it does not mean you can use any sim card.
my phone is network unlock, i cant upgrade my firmware via seus or se pc companion. but you can use flashtool to flash roms
thanks you both, after searching ive finally gathered it has to be sim unlocked by
factory, network provider.
using sites like http://simlock.com/ and da vinci team does this affect the bootloader unlock? i.e. flashing different kernals? im sure i read in the bootloader post that using 3rd party unlock your bootloader is locked again?
so for instance if i sim unlock from the sites mentioned, is my boot loader relocked or will i have to unlock it again after sim unlock?
at the moment my x10i is network locked to orange but 2.3.3 root/unlocked bootloader via flashtool.
I went whit cellunlocker.net
the best, used it on 3 phone.
takes about an hour to receive a code
and it do NOT interfere whit unlocking the boot loader
free unlock code from [email protected]
I called att today and to my suprise they gave me free unlock code for my sony x10 I bought it from a buddy of mine that got two phones lasy year and didnt pay the first bill
ps: can i simunlock with this code on my bootloader unlock phone

Hi Guys,
Sorry If this has been asked before.
I am thinking of debranding my Orange lumia 800.
Do I need to sim unlock the phone first or at all or once its debranded will my sim work? I ask because after debranding my HTC Desire I had to sim unlock before the phone would work properly.
Also are there any decent guides to follow I found one here that seems ok.

Any thing I should be aware of with the Orange version of the device before I dive in?
Thanks for any help.

Hi,
From what i know debranding or reflashing using NCS will not remove Simlock from your phone.
The link you provided is okay to follow but as i remember there are simpler way to debrand/reflash your phone.
Orange variant should be same as other variant, so it fine to debrand.
Hey Guys,
I was wondering has there been an update on unlocking lumia devices with the Nokia DLOAD bootloader.
I'm actually on my second Lumia 800 ( the first one being a preproduction model i got as a gift from nokia, and the second a shop bough lumia).
The first lumia i had had the Qualcomm bootloader and i was able to flash custom firmware to the device.
The second lumia i have has the Nokia DLOAD bootloader, and this is where i'm running in to issue's.
I can't seem to find anyway to debrand device.
It's currently branded Vodafone, and want the branding removed.
Anybody have any idea's or information on how to get this done?
DLOAD cannot be rooted so cant do a sim unlock too.
your stuck with it for now..and dont raise hopes for an unlock for DLOAD..pretty dead with the dev for that :/
But why the 710's is rooted?

There was a kind of exploit that was discovered but sadly just on the 710.
It was discovered on 800 , but it was an older make of 800 which had qualcomm
somone found the right osbl so it was possible to unlock 710 too...

So can we put qualcomm file in the osbl and flash everything with care suite?

hi. you can debrand a dload lumia using nokia care suit. to do that you download the unbranded firmware using navfirm and insted of puting in rm801 folder put in rm817 but dont rename the firmware. than in product support tool uncheck automatic product selection than open product and select rm-817 , them programing/recovery click on update list than with lumia turned of click on start and connect the usb cable to pc pressing only the vol up key.
if you need a more detail "tutorial" just say, but be i dont recommend doing this if lumia was sim unlocked by code as it will locked again and you will need to put the code again

Probably not. (From what I know about France you can get the code free after having had the phone for 3 months. If that happened then it is unlikely ATF was used. (The bootloader is downgraded by Testpoint to get it to work).

yes that is true they only unlockit after 3 months but this one was not bouygues that unlocked it, it was someone because the phone was bought about 1 month ago. i dont know why but yesterday after debranding the phone he got locked again so i took it to a store to unlockit again. today im going to get it and ask the guy how he unlocked it because probaly its not going to get the code from bouygues
so i got the code but he wont telme were he got it but from what see the code is stored in registry probaly because if its updated buy zune or ncs it will lock again
