S3 Freezing issue with opening keylock
Hi there,I've encountered that my phone is freezing when I try to open keylock with sliding and all other methods such as passwords, no lock etc. This happens not all time, when I lock the keys and wait for 5-10 minutes and try to open the keylock it just happens but when I opened the keylock immediately after the lock everything is good no problem. Can anybody suggest anything?

I had an issue like this. Have you been flashing or restoring?
OP ..maybe update the title of your thread so others searching with the same problem can find a relevant thread.

All I done was updated with an update sent by Samsung.my phone was rooted though.Think I have solved it now though...FLASH ORIGINAL FIRMWARE AGAIN..THEN WAIT FOR SAMSUNG'S UPDATES THEN INSTALL THEM....ONCE INSTALLED AND UPDATED THEN ROOT DEVICE.(IN OTHER WORDS ALWAYS MAKE SURE IF YOUR ROOTING DO IT LAST AFTER PHONE IS UPDATED.
How do I edit title of thread.?

On stock ICS with factory reset. This happens randomy a couple of times each day. Never happened on GB.
Same on my friend's phone. Any suggestions?
I had the same issue when I tried sending text messages or opened my inbox. It caused a lag of 10-15 seconds.
It seems to be related with bluetoothmap.apk.
I never use bluetooth, so I wiped the bluetooth appdata and deleted all the bluethoot apps with titanium backup (made a backup first just in case).
This fixed it for me.

Download the package file, Reflash your official rom via odin, not over kies.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
I'm not sure if that will work for borchgrevink.
In my case the problem started to occur because I flashed the original rom with Odin.
For me this issue was caused by restoring data using Titanium backup for SMS. To fix you MUST never restore data this way. Instead use SMS backup and restore app.
Better still install go SMS and uninstall stock SMS app using TB for good!

Well this happened to me when upgrading to ICS without reset, and also after a factory reset.
Never happened on GB. Is it an OS bug or rogue app?

It's something to do with changes to the SMS storage database as far as I can tell.

I don't want to root either and I keep getting the same problem. Anyone who has the this should contact Samsung until they fix it, they should treat us better after we buy their expensive phone. The Chief Exec of Samsung Mobile is at [email protected] they'll fix it is a few people email in.
Just emailed [email protected] let's see if they reply back
Hi guys,
Just wanted some help from you guys. Suddenly i noticed that my s3 has started speaking on its own. Like when i zoom out my homescreens, it says
"Workspace 2 of 3"
When i open a folder,it says
"Folder opened "
I dont know what happened. I didnt tweak any settings and updated to the latest firmware about a week back. Until yesterday there were no voice feedbacks but all of a sudden they have started. Couldnt find any setting to turn them off either.
It is very annonying and any help would be greatly appreciated!
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
That sounds like TalkBack. Disable it under Settings -> Accessibility -> TalkBack
Already disabled, still it speaks!
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Have you got Light Flow installed? There is a bug with it due to Samsung/ICS kernel
Yes i did have that app installed and i guess it has happened due to that app only. However, i just uninstalled the app but it still speaks. Will try restarting the phone once and will get back to you. Thank u so much anyways.

I am having the same issue, however it started happening after the latest update to facebook itself. I think this is where the issue lies......

I don't know what phone you're running but I'm on a custom jellybean ROM on my phone and haven't had any problems .
First thing to try would be to clear data for the Facebook app in settings and see if that doesn't fix it. If not try to completely uninstall and reinstall it.
If Facebook is the only thing that's force closing then I see no reason why the jellybean update is really to blame. But if the above options don't work you can always try reverting to ICS and installing jellybean again.
Sent from my SGH-I897 using xda app-developers app
I was on the latest stock ics Rom then used the ota jellybean update that's available on here.
Getting all sorts of phone misshaps, keeps buzzing and force closing on stuff, noticed it most on facebook but has also happened on music player also. Have also been noticing that when I come out of apps that the homescreen is slow to reload and looks like it's refreshing. I'm using stock launcher.

Try the new ota jb leak and see
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Is that not What I have having done the ota?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I think that these problems are related to the last update of Facebook app. My phone is running ICS, and also have intempestive FC.

Yes you have jelly bean. But just like flashing a ROM from scratch without wiping the system first, you can run into issues flashing an ota. A clean install is the best thing if you're having system wide issues.

I have the galaxy S2 but, it's the SCH-R760. What happens is when I tap the contacts app my screen goes black, then pops up the message android process acore has stopped working. My phone is rooted. It's been rooted for a few months now, and this issue just started last week. Anybody have any ideas on the problem, and a fix?

I have not flashed since there is no recovery that I can find for my phone. So I wouldn't know how without that.

As Skype does request to access your contact list it is proably related to that.
You might have to try setting your contacts as a default.
I noticed in the past that sometimes it would ask me if I wanted to call contacts using Skype or Phone so my assumption is that somthing with the defaults is causing it to check Skype but it is also causing it to crash
So you're guess is the default contact app got changed to skype right? That makes sense. Whenever I dailed out it asked if I wanted to use skype or the dailer. Thanks

This happened to me once. I had no choice but to delete contacts data from settings and then restore from old backups....

Hello All,
This is regarding one of the most annoying issue that many users like me are facing.
I'm currently running neat rom lite version 4.7.
Please know that I have searched through Google to know about this issue, but apparently there were only problems mentioned but no solutions for it.
Please look into the attached image and suggest if anything can be done with regard to this?
Thanks in advance

Nothing of this is mentioned on the ROM thread?
Looks like an ad, a factory reset should solve it.
It must be related to a certain app; which one? I dunno

Hehe.. The funny thing is that i have tried multiple rons but its always been there.. It is defintely not coming from a user installed app
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Not so lite after all.
Are you sure the dev doesn't know how to remove that or why it's there?
Hold on, there's got to be a way to disable that, check your settings.
Sent from the little guy
Haha..
Well I hope someone can come up with a solution for this

Maybe there is something wrong......after wipes, did you use Titanium Backup to restore apps?Maybe one of them is creating the issue. Also, you can try to run a Nuke Script, after hat flash a CM 4.2.2 ROM
Well after reinstalling the rom, i used a software called mybackup pro to restore everything.
If i remember right, even after the full wipe and reinstall, this problem persists

That's a settings conflict, restore the app, try txting and then restore your previous settings.
