Hi I am new to the forums and I looked all over, but I couldn't find an explanation to a problem that I'm having.
I also don't know if it is just my device therefore I am posting in the Galaxy Player forums just to be safe.
When I attempt to use Poweramp, Jetaudio, Player Pro, or sometimes even the default music player, I occasionally will have
my song interrupted by a loud static noise followed by 3-4 beeps. I have noticed that the problem keeps occuring only in Jetaudio
when I plug in my headphones while the song is playing. Yet with Poweramp, as soon as I play any song, it just goes straight to the static and then freezes up. This problem started happening recently after I overclocked, but it still occurs even after I reset the clocks back to factory defaults.
Player info:
Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 default everything except it's rooted and has Go Launcher
I appreciate any help that you guys can give me. Thank you for your time.

How many apps do you have on your player? This happened to me too, and I realized that I had to many apps (running in the background) using to much memory on the GP 4.0. Try getting rid of some of the apps you're not using, and if all else fails factory reset the whole device.

Ok, I've searched on google for a hour, but everyone else is having issues playing music when pushing the power button. My issue is that music stops playing, period. I'll leave my phone playing music, (screen on or off) but music stops playing. WMP, TCPMP, doesn't matter. The music bar is still going, but no sound is coming from my phone. Sometimes it's after one song, sometimes it's after several. I've flashed different roms, even one I cooked myself, same issue. I have to soft reset to get music playback working again, but after a few songs the sound goes out again. The weird part is that the sound works for all other programs or when I'm using BT headset. Example: WMP sound goes out while playing a song, I close WMP and open TCPMP, no sound either, but Need for Speed Shift sounds just fine, and the BT headset works too! WTF?! Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks in advance!!!
P.S
Not sure if I'm even posting this in the right place. If so, then I apologize. Help me get this post to someone who can assist with this problem. I can't be the only one who's seen this issue.
Well dude I have the same problem. It seems your post is too old and noone is going to anwser you. I do apologize I will make new thread and I hope you've already solved your problem.
Hey,
I've had the Vibrant for a couple months now but its been having a weird sound issue as of late where the sound just dies.
The sound stops working randomly and its frustrating because I don't know what causes it. Whats odd is that he ringtones still work if I go to test them in the Sound settings (only the stock ringtones) but all other media doesn't work. Jukefox tells me the music file type is unsupported and the on-phone music player tries to play them then skips to the next over and over.
The only solution I have for this currently is to reboot the phone then the sound works for a random amount of time before it happens again. The only way I find out is when someone calls me and it vibrates instead of the ringtone.
Any ideas? This is quite frustrating. I've also done a factory reset and the problem persists. I'm under the impression it might be a 3rd party app.
When the music player finishes playing a song, the volume jumps to maximum stay there, forcing me to turn it down. But when I turn it down, it turns down from the level where it was before the track ended.
It doesn't happen all the times, but quite often, and mostly at the beginning of my music session. Gets better in subsequent tracks.
I ran into this in 406 a few months ago. I now have a DIFFERENT set in Dell Venue and looks like it was still not fixed in 408.
Anyone encountered this as well? Any workaround?
Mine doesn't do that. What is your audio setup (stock app, upgraded app, enhancement app)? I use Google Music v4.1.512, Audiomanager 3.0.3, and Equalizer 3.1.1.
I encountered this with both Google Music and the stock music player.
Tried UberMusic recently and seems like it was bug from Google's music player.
try any volume locker app?

Looks like it's fine with other music players. Thanks for this anyway, will try
Hi,
Can someone please help me out here? Whenever I listen to music, my sound will shut down when i turn off my screen or try to access apps and it will go back to normal once I turn my screen back on or go back to my home screen.
This whole time I've been running JellyBeans Rom build 21 with no problems, but decided to switch to PACMAN Rom because I was sick of 4.1. I installed Viper4Android and followed every directions correctly, but the problems came up after this. It's so bad to the point where if I want to listen to music, I have to trick my phone by unplugging my headphones, play music through my phone speakers initially, then plug the my headphones back in to make it work somewhat normally. This solves the music pausing problem when I turn off my screen, but to do this every single time is ghetto and whack. I still can't access my apps without my music pausing when resorting to this method.
So today, I said, "Screw it" and went through the trouble of restoring my phone back to the factory settings and rooting again so if the problem was Viper4Android or some system issue within the phone, it would go back to normal. Sadly, no luck and the issue still exists. I even thought that I messed up on something when changing the coding in build prop manager, but I reverted back to factory settings so there shouldn't be an issue.
I've heard people had issues where their music would skip on them when they turn off their screen, but I think my problem is different.
So my question to you is: Anyone experiencing similar problems or do you think that this a hardware issue? If this is a hardware issue, I have no problems taking apart my phone and replace the earphone jack.
Well, I think I figured out the problem. My phone is rejecting Google launcher when it comes to music for some weird reason. I switched to NOVA launcher and my music works perfectly now. *sigh* I guess losing the "OK Google" command is a small price to pay for music... So my next question is, how do I make my music work with the Google launcher? It seems like I'm only experiencing this problem haha

I believe it has something to do with the voice activation. I am using Nova Launcher but am able to reproduce the bug using the Voice Search within Dolphin browser. When I have headphones plugged in and playing music, as soon as I use the voice search option, the music mutes and doesn't come back til I unplug my headphones.
EDIT: Just to try it, I used my gf's Razr M phone. Had headphones plugged in, played music. Did Google Voice Search, the music stopped also BUT after finding whatever I Voice Searched, the music resumed on its own. Maybe there is a code missing to resume the audio?
So i recently updated to lollipop and its been pretty much a nightmare since. I've managed to solve most of my problems but two still remain.
1. I can play more than one song, once i try and skip to the next one it doesn't play and eventually the whole rom crashes. This has happened on several roms.
2. If my heaphones come unplugged while playing music i have to completely unplug them before i can get music to restart. There seems to be a detection issue of some sort.
im thinking there maybe a problem with cyanogen recovery but was hoping someone could chime in.
Much thanks.
doesnt look like anyone can help but I've figured out that i can play music i just cannot pause or skip to the next song, this includes streaming and using another app such as mx player. If i pause and say try and watch a movie it still requires me to reboot,.
check headphone jack, plug, sd card, clear media cache/app data
