Solving Issues Recovering Erased Data from Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Some files on my Verizon galaxy tab 10.1 were erased due to some syncing issue with a Vulkano system.
None of data recovery software I tried has worked due to not seeing my tablets memory to start the recovery scans of the memory.
What is the best step by step way to recover data that is erased on this tablet? (I am a noob)
Is there a way to have my tablet be seen in windows computer as a drive with assigned letter for data software to see it?
Thanks for help in advance
Background:
I have not saved any new items and I am hoping data recovery software might be able to salvage some of the files.
I tried using some memory recovery software I found in doing Google searches.
I searched this forum for data recovery but I did not see anything fitting my bill and the google searches were for mostly removable SD cards which this device does not have.
At first I could not get computer to identify my tablet.
I downloaded the Samsung win-android driver form samsung site and my computer can now see all the files.
However, it says "tablet" in file manager under my computer and no drive letter, which may be relevant.
I tried 10 different data recovery software and none of them see the tablet to allow the data recovery software to start scanning memory.
One site says if the tablet can be assigned a drive letter, the data can be recovered and software can see the drive.
I have successfully recovered data off HD2 and old HTC phone removable SD cards but this tablet thing is not working as easy.

Ignore post.
I found more on xda site.
It looks like Hexamob and other software still are not working for tablet (found in the MTP question area).
Hexamob site says maybe oct 12 might have a tablet data recovery.
X-ing fingers.
Thanks

I don't think that's possible dude.
Used Recovery Software for PC's, but in a phone? I highly doubt.

You cannot recover from memory only from storage and thats Phone in Windows explorer when connected as USB in mass storage mode .

I also don't have access to the microSD card, but if i remove it and stick it me card reader then it will appear with a drive letter.

[Q] SD Card Problems

Hi all.
Here's the situation:
I have a 32 gb Sandisk (unsure of the class) sd card I've used with 2 different phones for at least over a year now. I took the card out of my phone to connect it through my laptops built in card reader for the purpose of transferring large files (card reader speeds are much faster than usb mounting through the phone for me). When I put it in the computer Windows wouldn't recognize it. Now it won't mount in my phone at all, and it won't work correctly on my PC. When I connect it to my computer it says the card needs to be formatted before use, but then when I go to format it, it shows up on the Windows formatting screen as only having a 30.6 mb capacity and I get the message "Windows was unable to complete the format" whenever I try to format it, no matter the settings.
So my question is, how do I get the darn thing to work again? I think something must have happened between shutting my phone down to remove it and putting it in my computer. I just don't know what. Anyone else ever experience this? (I've already given up on recovering all of my files, but if it's possible to save them that would be amazing )
Things I've tried:
formatting via Windows
formatting via android
formatting /external_sd via Clockworkmod recovery
a couple different data recovery/partitioning programs (Partition Wizard and PhotoRec/TestDisk
also using "chkdsk" in windows command prompt returns saying that the disk is in the "RAW" format.
Additional info:
Phone: Motorola Droid RAZR HD (XT926) (Verizon)
ROM: XenonHD 11.01 (Android version 4.2.2, AOSP based)
Sorry if this is more lengthy than necessary, just trying to be thorough and cover all the bases!
Thanks in advance for your help!

I recommend searching play for "foldersync" so you can keep your data backed up. I set mine syncing overnight with my computer over wifi.

Data Recovery on LG G2

Hi,
Well I have this LG G2 and somehow I got it reset, now all the contacts, images, messages, everything is gone. I tried using a recovery software but the thing is the software doesn't recognize my phone as another drive to recover. I have used EaseUS and Recuva but no output. My PC recognizes the phone as a media player not an external storage device. Is there anyway for the PC to recognize it as external storage media so that I can recover data.
Ps: USB Debugging is on
There are programs that will help recover some of the stuff. Dr. Fone is one. It is free to try but paid option to recover, I believe. You won't be able to mount as external, but Dr. Fone will work regardless. There are also some programs that work on the phone such as https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.defianttech.diskdigger&hl=en . All recovery programs will work better if your device is rooted. The ones on the phone typically just look for pictures. Dr. Fone will look for messages and contacts too, if I remember right. Contacts should be linked to their perspective accounts anyway. Google, etc.
