No they will not cover it as in ur 1st post u stated you exchanged housing.
So for what ever reason housing was damaged or wrong color all was working fine untill the fast hands of oneself?
Gavin take appart aand refit this way your checking over all connections.
I did.. The new housing looks like original so doubt it they can see any difference

Any modifications carried out by non-Samsung authorised repair people (or anyone else for that matter) voids your warranty.
Basically you're asking a question only Samsung can answer. Soooo...You're going to have to roll the dice & send it in for warranty service & see what happens. Or have it repaired by someone other than Samsung.
Being a betting man, I'd say you'll be paying for the repairs either way.

They would have to be blind or dump not to see any difference since the original handsets have a label (battery space) with fone details on it....
But if you explain to them its better you pay Sammy to fix your fone then paying out for a brand new one...
That sticker is on the new one took it off the old one and put on the new.. Its a guinine cover

At the end of the day, you're not going to find the answer to your question by posting on here.
You're only going to find out by asking Samsung to fix your phone....Soooo....How bout you do exactly that & let us know how you go ?
Ok if they wont repair il by a new screen on ebay for 120e and do it

I the best price i have seen for a Screen without the bumper is 249 300+ with the bumper around the screen.
its not really hard to change out either. Changing just the bumper is harder than changing just the screen, especially if the other screen is cracked and you are not trying to save it.
parts are out there though.
i have dropped mine 7 times now, and plan on throwing it against the wall here in about a month and getting square trade to give me another device, or the replacement cost.

Ha ha, well stupidity is one thing I just can't tolerate, if people choose not to educate themselves and instead insist in posting stupid stuff on xda I'm forced to say something. Stupidity is a choice!
But a straight up accident of this magnitude after only 10 mins of having the phone is no laughing matter, accidents happen and in this case I feel for the guy.

I have got the answer for you, this is what you must do,
1. Buy an S3 display + digitizer from ebay:
2. Follow this video tutorial:

What exactly you want with this thread? If your digitizer is broken, buy another and replace it
Sent from my MB860
Try this link. It's a weird fix that might work. If not you'll just have to buy a new digitizer and replace it.

Highly doubt it. Atrix 4G is known for having issues with the digitizer. I myself have a dead stripe vertically too. Let us know how it goes tough.

Same here. I upgraded to a new phone. I was hoping I would be able to stick with Motorola, but nope.
At some point I'll probably drop $30 on the new digitizer and try to resurrect it.

Im thinking the same thing. Im going to buy something used though. Maybe a S2 or something. Only requisites are that it must have official ICS and great dev support.

Couple of question:
1) Did you replaced the digitizer yourself?
2) Where you bought it?
3) Was it hard to replace?
4) How much it costed?
I have an upgrade in November so I'm thinking note 2

The digitizer is super easy to replace.
I used ifixit.com's teardown and was able to figure out everything I needed. In fact I was actually replacing a water damaged lcd but I had to tear the phone down in exactly the same way. 20 minute job for someone with almost no experience inside of electronic devices.
So there was a rattling sound coming out the top of my phone and without thinking trough I fastened the top three screws of the phone. I didn't take any sticker off to get to a screw or anything, I just tightened them up a little bit.
This shouldn't affect my warranty I hope?

One would think not as unless a technician could not undo the screws who is to know .

If you haven't marked the screws you should be ok, if they rumble you just explain you were trying to cure the rattle and smile sweetly!

What do you mean with marked? Like a visual scratch or something like that? I guess you can see if you look very closely that it isn't as new as it was.. but the bottom 5 screws are as new as can be so I couldn't even have opened it.
I'm just a little paranoid about keeping my warranty in tact

Course it voids your warranty....! And strictly speaking....we're not actually meant to have access to Odin! Its only because it was made available from a certain person (dunno who) that we have access to it. using Odin voids your warranty buddy end of! Check your warranty info on the leaflet that came inside the box. Read section 5 then on the opposite page under fire, improper ventilation etc....

They won't be able to tell you used odin if you're flashing an officially released rom.
It'd be different if he odin'ed a modem with a newer build number than his rom or something like that, but flashing official roms is ok.
Example, ever heard of an RUU? Those are used to flash official firmware OTW all the time.

After e-mailing, chatting and calling with Samsung I still have no answer. The only answer I could get is that the people working at the repair centre would have to see the device and then decide wether my warranty is still in tact. Even though I said I didn't open the phone etc etc.
Dropped phone at work, broke glass. Possibly more. I have the $10 a month at best buy. Do i need to go back to stock? Im going to guess there is a way, i just need to search. Bad luck day, thats not all that has gone wrong. Thought about really crushing it, lol. Get a new one.
