I'm on Resurrection rom with jb and siyah kernel. Is there a way I can disable the touch keys from lighting up? I want them to work. Just not use the leds they have underneath.
Thank you!!

u cannot totaly disable them for sure ma8.
the only thing u can do is disable them when u touch the screen using Extweaks app.
but still they light up when u touch the soft keys though.
also u can reduce the voltage for them so that they r barely visible in day light.
Ok..I will lower the voltage
Thanks!

Can you not just go to settings-display-touch key light duration and select 'always off' ?

Hey guys,
I have noticed that Xperia S doesn't have a light sensor. but in whitepaper they say it is.
i really like to enable auto brightness control but with this i am unable to do it.
The auto brightness is working fine and it's always on,there is no option to turn it off,you need a third-party app to turn it off.

it says no light sensor
Open the dialer and type #*#*7378423*#*#
There is test for the ambient light sensor try it.
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
If u want to enable auto brightness just set ur brightness to about 18 percent and reboot! Then u'll notice auto brightness works!

Well depending on what kernel you're on. They usually have a vibration intensity setting.

Hi ...
In last couple of days my SGSIII went to negative colors automatically without even touching that option and I had to reverse the colors manually to get original colors back.. I am not sure what could be the problem nor have any idea about why it's happening.
I haven't installed any such app that will do that or so..
So can anyone suggest me what to look for as I already factory reset it too but to no available..
P.S. - It only changed for three times and not more.. Also while talking there was some sweat on the glass, could that be a reason though it didn't changed it's colors at that moment but later..
Thanks.
Funnily enough this happend to me today. V. strange

Siyah kernel has a toggle for this. Hitting the home button four times rapidly.

I have the same issue with Omega 27.1 but every time after I disabled it, it automatically goes back to negative colors if I leave it idle for awhile. Any idea?

Are you using siyah kernel? Disable that toggle setting in it's settings..
Use Stweaks and under screen, negative toggle setting.

on Android 5.0.2 there is an option where you enable (and disable) negative colors by clicking 3 times the cetral button I was looking for a week what made my phone (samsung A3) turn on the negative colors. So, the easiest way is to go to settings and search for "negative colors", Its hard to explain where becouse my phone is on greek language but there are two options you have to uncheck in "Accessibilities". One option to turn on/of the negative colors and the other to turn off the option clicking 3 times the central button. Hope that is uderstude and helpfull
update: (ok found it in english)
go to "Settings", then "Accessibility" and tap on "Direct Access"
i got same issue on my samsung galavy V, but there is no 'negative color' button on my accesibility
can someone help me?
Is there any app which turn on the light buttons if i have call or message notification? and thanks!
Yes. Backlight notifications (BLN) Can be activated on siyah or dorimanx kernel via exTweaks. For this you'd need to be rooted and be on either one of the above two kernels.. uses the LEDs of the two capacitive buttons like the notification LED on the nexus phones.

If noobs on xda have taught me one thing, its that smartphones just aren't for everyone.

Buddy, iv already enable it, and i do a missed call.....but keys are not blinkin.....its a problem????
There is an app called no LED which displays missed calls, messages etc on your screen

i dont need screen to be open.... i need those leds..
No, it's works when screen is off. Can use it for email sms WhatsApp missed calls etc. Very customisable too.

Yeah, but when noled app is active with a notification, screen led stays open....so it consumes more battery than touch keys i think.....

Not really. If you really knew what your phone is capable of... The LED "bulbs" which your screen is made of are turned on only if there are any colors to display.this means that when you have a wallpaper, half white half black, only the bulbs where the white color is will be turned on. The bulbs on the area of the black screen stay off and that means that having no LED indeed is more battery saving than turning on the backlights.

Not exactly. NoLED is actually a known battery sucker even on an amoled since the phone is awake all the while the notifications are on. The advantage though, as someone mentioned is its customizability.
BLN on the latest siyah can be used without wakelocks (BLNWW option in exTweaks) but you don't get the blinking/ breathing option if you activate BLNWW. On standard BLN (with wake locks) you can have breathing or blinking LED options. Also can set it so that it deactivates itself if the battery goes below a set threshold..which is why I'm assuming it didn't work for the OP.

Do they work if you use the test button. Look at the charging options too. I apologise if the "easy tick box" comments offended you.

Try Siyah kernel, it has "slide2wake"
Slide from left to right on your screen will wake it up without touching any button.
Or googy Max kernel has touch2wake, it allows you to wake up your screen by simply touch it

There is time out in touch wake in order to avoid unwanted wake because slide to wake is a more complicated gesture than touch to wake so slide to wake is not necessary to have a time out.
0 means never time out so will always keep touch to wake active, 5 seconds means ever since screen out within 5 second your can re-activate it.
Also, there are some apps that uses light sensor or acceleration sensors or proximity sensor to activate the screen, but personally feel these apps kill battery pretty fast...
