ive got a problem with my xperia s :
i installed cm10 successfully with the corresponding kernel!
now i want to flash another cm kernel in recovrey, but when i connect my device to pc(win 7 32 bit) my phone is not detected by my pc (i cant see it in my windows explorer).
charging is ok!

Maybe flashtool will solve it
I had a similar problem yesterday, I had to flash a ftf through flashtool to get the phone connected to windows explorer again.

[Q] Red LED of Death !

I know its probably against the rules to post a question in this section but I really need help,
I know that there are many threads discussing the same issue but believe me I read them & it didnt work with me ! , so my phone wont turn on it just blinks red led 3 times that means that my battery is drained out but when I leave a while to charge it turns to green for a few minutes then the led is turned off , while its green its identifiable by the computer & flashtool & seus but when I try to flash/repair/update it gets stuck
btw it doesnt show the SonyEricsson logo when the led is green ; can anyone help me plz ? is it a software issue, battery or hardware ?? plz help !
Note: my phone was dropped heavily & I read on some forums that the fall may have caused damage to the USB port thats why itsnt charging is that true ?!
Note2: I was able to charge my battery and now when I connect the USB the computer recognize it but it wont flash using flashtool or repair/update ?!!
Have you found a solution? I´m having the same issue!
generally this indicates flash ic fault .

the only thing u can do is use another pc to flash it which never had the pc companion or seus and try to flash it from there...
Remember that u also need to remove the registry entries for pccompanion and any other se app on your pc.. then reinstall drivers for flashtool.

Hello maybe its a flashtool bug or something with dalvik-cache or battery stats i am not sure someone correct me if wrong. I recently installed fxp109 cm7.2 and noticed it has a new version of the flashtool if correct its now 6.8.0, maybe the older ones are good and i saw u used 6.7.0 maybe the 6.8.0 works or older version then 6.7.0, Maybe it works if u can remove the drivers in device manager and try to reinstall them with SE gordon gate drivers i am not sure if this will solve ur problem but is worth trying i gues. P.S Greets from holland and i hope it helped if u tryed.

Now my phone isn't proceeding ahead ShockGen logo after the installation. Xperia U did not have removable SD card so I can't even add NEW rom from PC to start from scratch.

Have you used PC Comapanion before?
If you have you can repair the phone without connecting the phone.
Click start under support zone, click start under phone tablet software update, click repair in the window that says can't find phone / tablet,, PCC wil start downloading files and will ask you to connect in flash mode.
The phone must be turned off before connectinmg in flash mode.

You will need to downalod and install flashtool install the drivers that come with it and find and download the right formware for your phone.
Download stock ftf and use flashtool to flash ftf look on here for how to use flash tool . Will solve all your problems

Thank you very much guys! Flash tool worked THANKS
sorry for my late reply.
I will suggest that you should always have a backup in case of incidents like these.. this is a development site.
Accidents happen while developing.
Flashtool is always the best way to recover your phone and always have nandroid backup when you install a new mod.
Because when you flash to stock you lose your data but restoring nandroid backup using custom kernel solves the problem!
Hope i helped.
Thanks everyone my prob is solved! I did flashed it

Try offline updating with Flashtool and ftf
For rooting is for only ICS on locked bootloaders
currently support build number .10 firmware

Did you install drivers in your PC ?
It is in Drivers folder of flashtool
Volume down and plug USB if flashtool is telling you to plug in your phone..
Then Green LED will appear on your phone and it will off if it is started flashing firmware..
You have some steps that are wrongly following I think..
Try again..
Okay i installed driver still nothing.

[Q] bricked Z2

I made a big mistake... installed KERNEL][Z2] DooMKernel (v09)[20140604] but my bootloader is unlocked (I think). Can not boot to recovery, not to bootloader, nothing. It is somehow bricked?
I have (had) dual recovery and backups but is there any way to boot to recovery, or even to reset this phone? Thanks!

Thank you, but the problem is that I cannot connect Z2 via usb. Cannot install even flash drivers to my win 8.1 (Parallels Desktop on Mac)... hopeless
If you with unlock bootloader, then find drivers for win 8.1or try on other computer with win 7 and flash Correct Ftf with Flashtool, not Pc Companion.
Send from my Sony Xperia Z2

Install Sony Bridge for Mac and use: repair phone ... I think...
Maybe that will help, that should install the drivers on your mac :good:

Can't Flash !

Hello, recently I tried to flash my phone in flashtool and always stuck at "reading device information", even xperia companion can't detect it !
I re-installed all drivers, tried old versions of flashtool and firmware but always the same problem.
My phone is rooted but I don't know about bootloader. Any help? suggestions?
Thanks
Hi, I managed today to get mine working again. I had rooted it with RR but then got a bootloop. After giving up I found a forum that mentioned Sony Emma and I have managed to get my phone back to stock rom and working fine again.

Try this.
Remove whatever flashtool version you have.
Disable windows driver signature enforcement.
https://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how-to-disable-driver-signature-verification-on-64-bit-windows-8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/
Restart your pc or laptop.
Install ADB.You might not need this but just to be on the safe side.
URL="https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0MKgCbUM0itSUhpUklCTFpzWkE&authuser=0
Install flashtool-0.9.18.6 with all the drivers.
(For some reason this is the most compatible one for Xperia Z2)
Then try flashing again.
sorry about the late reply. ?

It really seems like a flashtool/driver issue .I had the same error a while back , i used that version and it's drivers as i mentioned earlier and everything worked fine.
Just to be on the safe side, give it a try on another pc and see ✌
