Does Xperia Fidelity script work on XMP? Or is there any other similar script for XMP?
Hi
If you download and open it (witha a simple text editor) you see it's "just" a lot of "echo XXX> /sys/devices/YYY....", and can be applied to every "linux machine" who has that devices inside.
Personally, I'd comment the #CPU tweaks section (not using it), I'd prefer to use a differen app to control the CPU (ex: cputuner, set cpu, ...), also because it contains frequencies that could not be implemented in every cpu (for ex, 200000 rate is not a standard value for our mini pro CPU, that has 122000 or 245000).
however i'll try it, looks nice, thanks for make me know it.
Bye.
EDIT: of course, you have to implement init.d support into your system (I did it, look for it in forum) or run it every time with a script manager.

Rom cookers: if you include this module in your ROM, please make a link to this post in your release post, so your users can know how to work with it and update the module themselves
Intro:
Well, it seems that many people don't want to overclock because of heat, stability..., and just want to have benefits of an undervolted cpu. So here it is my friends. Default voltage level of our kernel is 3-4-5-6-7.
Source on github : https://github.com/doixanh/X8Features
Release history
April 20. v001. Undervolted at the level like X8Overclock: 0-2-3-5-7. If you have sudden reboots with out "SD card safe to remove", please report here.
Requirements:
- Rooted
- Baseband x15
Installation:
Manual installation: it will be better if you can do this way. From now on I will not provide update.zip for xRecovery, because there are some different modules now.
- Download appropriate x8uv-vXXX.zip (for X8), or x8uv-vXXX-x10m.zip (for X10 mini), or x8uv-vXXX-x10mp.zip (for x10 mini pro) below, unzip
- Remount /system as rw
- Push x8uv.ko in to /system/lib/modules
- Edit /system/etc/hw_config.sh, add one line at the beginning
Code:
insmod /system/lib/modules/x8uv.ko # x8 undervolt

What about overvolt for x8overclock module it should fix reboots.
I am not able to do overvolt now, if you can, contribute Don't just say obvious things that I've known since the beginning.
Module runs smoothly, without problems.
Man... these modules just keep on coming and coming...

Thats great !
[ 5570.714701] x8uv: Module loaded. Built for target device: X8
[ 5570.863835] x8uv: patching done. enjoy better battery life.
Confirmed, so far no impact on performance or any problems, will see about battery
you're a great guy doixanh.
i want to ask, what sort of problem that COULD occur after installing this module? does this module have anything related to sd card safe to remove problem?
Problems may include : strange behavior, crash, reboot, force close apps... etc...
But because many people are running undervolted with x8overclock with (almost) no problem, you don't have to worry
Which apk can i use to set undervolted performances for X10 mini?
Sorry for my enhlish.
Can be used in combination with x8oc.ko hw_config.sh as I can adjust the combination of the two modules
https://github.com/doixanh/X8Undervolt gives me an 404 Error.
@doixanh
can you explain benefits of using this module in a few words here or up ?
it's maybe usual users don't know what the "under-volt" is .
many thanks in advanced....
[email protected]: I merged all repo into one, and forgot to change here. Thanks.
X1111: it makes your CPU run at lower voltages (compared to default), so it may save battery.
you're really the "Module Man"!
HOOORAH!
no reboots, system stable, smooth and fast as of now,
battery seems normal,
gonna observe more..
I think it isnt compatible with OC module ? A programme which associate undervoltage and cpu freq will be great.. Or an additional profile in setCPU f.e. oc 800, overvolt ; dc 480, undervolt
In dreams maybe
OC module includes this Read carefully...
k, maybe i've got a little pb with english ;p
If it's inclued i dont need this module, thks anyway

U obviously miss the point of this module completely... Its made for the ppl who DONT want to overclock their X8, but they WANT to have their CPU run on lower voltages...
Great work man, will flash ASAP.
EDIT: I don't know where to ask this but since you are the "module man" I'll ask you. Can you create a module or something that will have forward/backward features on the volume keys in radio/mp3 playback ? I saw someone on the minicm thread talk about this but can't figure how to do it. This is a very usefull function if you listen to music/radio on your phone, so you just have to hold volume up/down to skip a play or get a new radio station. Will be waiting for an answer, and will be great if someone can get this done.
The idea is good but has nothing to do with modules. The music app already gets the values from volume buttons and cm7 allows it to use them when locked and screen off, now the music app could have an option for skipping on volume.. speak to cyanogen guys

That doesn't depends on kernel, app will adapt on any kernel if it support overclock (all kernels in mini and mini pro does support oc)
I've tested and works perfectly...!
I used with Naa Kernel and Rom
As soon as I set vlaue 768 and apply phone reboots. I this just me?

nice to see u again in this forum. thank you

this happens to me too (not thru the app, i OC using CMsettings) some minipro's can seemingly go only upto 691 MHZ withh one oc module..
for example with nAa kernel i can go only upto 691Mhz but with zombipanic kernel i can go to 800Mhz dunno y...

Nope, GPU clocks seems to be complex to mod. And now im not in vacations so my time is not a lot cuz im almost always busy
Good work D4!!
and the app it's really small 33KB!!
just suggestions:
1
it's possible to have the stability test in a single option too?
...not linked to the save as safe feature??
2
..to write somewhere the swipe options
just in case of memory loss
thanks

I will do your first suggestion, was already planned, the other one i dont know if is so relevant
It seems my kernel doesn't support over clocking
The sliders are not moving, I guess I will have to replace the kernel. which one do you suggest? I have an Arc S.

Could you tell me your Kernel's name (even better upload a screenshot of about phone in settings)?, also 2 more things, is your phone rooted, and did you allow superUser permissions to simple OC ?
Hi,
I cannot choose any IO schedulers - I have only 'noop' in every governor.
HTC Desire Z here and my kernel is 2.6.35.14-Andromadus-Flinny-v1 (from Andromadus ICS v8 rom).
Any suggestion?
Greets & thx for the app!
can i use this to underclock stock kernel?

Can you upload a screenshot?, that may be because your kernel only supports noop io scheduler.
EDIT: On my stock kernel with no custom io schedulers, the list is reduced, so that does means your kernel only supports Noop scheduler.

Im not sure, but i will try and say you
EDIT: Yes you can, but with the new version, will release soon. Also, sliders cant be moved if your kernel does not support overclock, but you can setup easily a powersave governor, wich will underclock your cpu
universal?
what devices does this app support? all androids running 2.2+ or just xperia? i would assume that with SetCPU mentioned in the op that it is universal, but wanted to make sure. TIA

My aim is to make it universal and lightweight as hell! ill need support from all devices owners, for now, it should work on any device, anyway please test it. I will release a "more universal" version soon, im talking about 2 days, almost done now.
ok nice app but its been done alread about the exac same thing with NOFRILLS CPU thats out in the market for free and has been out longer and suports more languages . so dont know why this app got recognition on xda while nofrills cpu didnt and its been out longer... if anyone intrested look up nofrills cpu its the same thing ..... ps. im not tolling or hateing just thought id point it out ...
Could one of the devs please a create/start comprehensive /definitive guide on how to create a swapfile, how and where to and what values to set. I've found setxperia the easiest and most flexible way to create one but am confused what values to set.
my currently configured setup is
lupus kernel for stock v5.1
hasa miui 3.1.25 (while waiting for zellycream 2.5.2 mdpi)
105mb (max available size) swapfile created in cache partition, zram 26mb (half of max available value of 52mb) and swappiness 50mb (again half of max available value of 100mb).
are these values in any way effective? if not, what should be the ideal real world size, i'm not much of a heavy duty gamer but others are so what would be the ideal sizes for gamers and non-gamers respectively? is setxperia the ideal way to setup these values? if not, what is?
TIA!
Yes this values are ideal and perfect.
But if you want more heavy duty games to run download swapper 2
Tool from play store and double your ideal sizes it will be perfect...

thanks for your feedback, i've uninstalled setxperia and tried out swapper 2 (going with the app's recommended settings). from my understanding, it does its magic after the phone boots up (i found a setting for "run swapper at startup"). i'm curious, is there an app that creates something like init.d scripts to have swap enabled while or before the phone fully boots up rather than as an app that does its magic after bootup?
also, swapper 2 most probably has "safe" generic recommended settings identical for all users but what would be the recommended settings to use in various different scenarios like for use by heavy duty gamer or for a person that browses mostly etc.?

Hi all.
I was wondering, what "homemade" tweaks like init.d/script manager scripts or build.prop do you use with your S3...
When i say homemade i mean tweaks you apply on your own,not any tweaks that come with the rom you use.
Tweaks that you've tried and liked, tweaks that you'd recommend.
Here's the things i do to make my S3 more lag free:
-Use Greenify
-Custom script for script manager attached below(updated 27/3/13)
-Build.prop almost clean as i found many of the tweaks unusable in 4.1 or to interfere with the System.
-No init.d tweaks currently (sometimes zipaling and sqlite defrag)
-Custom STweaks settings(Perseus) including overclock, they're too many to write if you want i can attach some screenies.
-Currently testing Crossbreeder mod but with the above my S3 was already fast enough so not much differency,if any.
-zRam 650mb script for a kernel that supports zRam attached below also to be used for script manager.

Popular tweak, for the sake of those who don't know them yet.

well, yes But i'm interested in the script you posted. What exactly did you change the minfree values and ratios to ? Would these values give more multi-tasking or are they engineered towards having free ram ?
Also Greenifying google maps (as a user app) gives a huge boost to battery life, unless you have Google Now enabled

Hehe..
Well this is leaning towards better multitasking and most importantly lag free system and multitasking.
I lowered the adj values a bit because stock S3 were killing my apps a bit too fast for me,they're "inspired" from the original Galaxy S only a bit modified to suit the S3.
I found them to be working nicely for me,give them a go if like and post here or pm me.
Except from the adj values i modified a bit the values of sysctl.conf like dirty ratio vfs cache pressure and some nr_request config.
I changed my values a bit right now and also disabled iostats to make it even more less laggy so i'll upload this when i get home.
I usually have around 70mb free ram but my S3 doesn't lag at all, yay!
Now trying 500mb zRam and it's going very nice...i may add it to the op soon...
OP updated 27/3/13.
hello to all, i noticed that my redmi note 3 pro KATE ( i am on globerom 8.1.1.0 stable) has the minimum clock for big cluster, setted at 883mhz , and little cluster 691mhz BUT i can select on kernel adiutor the min freq of 400/ 400 mhz.
QUESTION 1 about freqNow i am with L speed app , and applied battery profile, but i don't understand why it does not automatically set the value to the MINIMUM POSSIBLE. Is there a reason?
Is there any CON to set the minimum cloto to cpu at 400mhz? i don't understand why xiaomi.eu and globerom modders did not set this freq to lowest possible, is it maube harmfull for the device?
should i have to set it by myself in kernel adiutor app? please help me to use this app, i just suppose i must apply 400mh setting, THEN choose to apply to boot ( there is a toggle).
What if i set at 400 and NOT toggle it?
QUESTION 2 about differences L speed and gov tuner flashable zip.I am sorry to admit that i'm not such skilled into android development and i have difficulties to understand terms like init.d or script meanings.....
For what i know i found pre installedon globerom the gov-tuner project zip file, then i discovered that that optimizations to the GOVERNOR, are also incorporated in another app called L speed. so i uninstalled gov tuner in this way:
1) entered into console, and entered the letter to disable gov tuner. ok,
2)then rebooted into recovery and flashed the zip for uninstaller.
DELETED! and i can say with that mod my battery life was really good almost perfect.
then i installed L speed, but still being a nice app with lots of features and explanatiions for EACH of them, i just setted overall provile to BATTERY, and cheched some other tweaks....EXCLUDING THE ONES that are described as battery wasting.
Then i asked to officiial thread if i have to reboot to apply, they said no... but it's PREFERABLE. OK I REBOOT.
by now i have worse battery life ( much worse) and i can't understand why.
I tested with console if gov tuner is still present, but NO. so there shoudn't be any conflict at all
sorry....if this 2nd question is THE BIGGEST ONE, but i really need to read someone suggestion and a simple explanation to understand if it's better l speed or gov tuner to me.
L speed seems very much powerful and can mod much more things... but is it safe? maybe there are so much options and i choosed 1 or 2 too much, and now i see bad battery life. but it's nearly impossible what is the option that causes me this.
And last important thing.... is it the same thing to implement these script or optimizations at the boot (i think gov tuner do it so) or after the boot like do L speed? ( i noticed into app a setting to choose 10 seconds after boot to apply scripts, in fact i see after each boot a notification about these applied scritps)
Hello,
sorry I can only answer question 1 since I dont use Lspeed.
Set it to 400MhZ Dude!
Doesnt harm your device, its still not laggy or anything.
Set apply on boot option and you`ll be golden.
RN3 has awesome battery life just stock. If you want more, install skynet. (was on xda, moved to google+)
There is even a guide somewhere out there for setting it to 400Mhz.
Cheers mate
