Hi! I am new at this one so here goes.
I just flashed codename_L7 rom for Neo V.
Everything was working awesomely, until I tested my camera.
It is not working properly, the image projected in the screen is upside down and it is color red.
So, basically the camera as not functioning. Anyone who encountered this one?

If you have a Neo, Did you flash from CWM the camera patch?
This patch is installed in your SD card.

HI.. I recently flashed V R's RemICS v1.4 ROM -SIII (31/7/12) on my xperia x10i
I hav some problems,
1. My camera not taking proper pics- its all black and green bands.
According to the development thread camera is working at 6mp, then why this error, my wifi is fine.
2. While selecting wallpaper for home and lockscreen the touchwiz shows error.
3. Random Reboots, here n there.
Can anyone help me.
I tried flashing z's ICS camera fix, but no luck.
Ics is not quite stable for x10 to expect everything to run good. The camera is not yet fixed so if you really want camera to work good you would have to use a gingerbread rom.

Hey Vipin, which kernel did you installed?
FXP 132, 133 or 135?
or another one?
I just Flash stock .587 fw on my NEO, flashed Super Stock Kernel and then installed Xperia ics&jb remix .
everything works fine, but when rotating the phone it is upside down, and also in the games that uses accelerometer (doodle jump) the rotation is inverted. anyone has a solution/fix for this problem?... the ROM is really good and stable, only this annoying problem.

Do a backup and flash the stock ICS. You might want to try another kernel.

I'm using Jelly Sandwich v 6.25 and installed Cybershot Camera Mod 4.1, everything was fine and then I installed Modded Camera Holo 3.0 and my camera and pictures was rotated. I did all with the instructions given. Then I reverted back to Cybershot Camera Mod 4.1 and still it was rotated and now, no matter which camera app I install, they get rotated. How to solve this?
Hi, have you solved this problem ? I'm trying to revive old Xperia Neo V for my daughter and I have same experience. First I have tried CM10 and camera was rotated with reversed movement. Now I have switched to Ultimate HD 5.0.1 and same behavior. Any help from anybody ? Thanks.

Ive experienced the same thing that OP describes, so simple dont flash modded holo 3.0 (Dont know about other versions) ontop of whatever you are using. I dont have a fix necessarily but I have never encountered the issue on any stock ICS/CM9 based roms after doing a complete wipe and then installing, just dont add any camera modifications post flashing to be sure.

I have a issue with camera on my Xperia Ray. The thing is that every time I want to take a picture camera freezes and does nothing. On the other hand, video recording works perfectly fine. Please help ! What could be the problem ?
I have root, CWM, unlocked boot loader and running Super Jelly Bean 6.0 .

Had the same problem with sjb5.5, tried reinstall, different camera app, etc... No success :S Now i'm using another rom because of that problem.

Try to install a cybershot camera, one that flashes in recovery...if that doesn't work try a different ROM.
when I met this problem, I checked if I used wrong kernel, if not, I changed my ROM. usually it works. and the latest gapps package make a dozen of problems and that took me a long time find out!

I am a newbie here.
Can somebody explain me whether the camera function is associated to the kernel or the installed ROM?
I have an Xperia Neo V and I was experiencing problems with my front camera. It didn't recognize it after the ICS upgrade.
Now that I have my phone rooted, I have a problem with my back camera. It gives me red photos that are reversed.
Anybody can guide me through this forum, I would be pleased!

Maybe you should try doing a factory reset or maybe even just a settings reset... I also don't know if kernel or ROM has anything to do with the camera. All I know is that proper drivers are needed for the processor to control the camera. so if the app (or maybe the rom) is made to work with qualcomm processors, it probably wouldn't work best with a different processor brand
