Yep, good idea.
Yesterday, i used root explorer to delete titanium's apk file, and then wipe the cache through recovery.
After that, re-install titanium and it works like a charms

Have you accepted the superuser access request which you get at the start? if you have and still its not working then do a fresh install and try again. (or better just reboot and try once more)

Are you on stock rom or custom ROM.
IF you are on stock rom then you cannot uninstall stock apps.
If you uninstall them somehow then also factory/data reset wont bring them back.

Download the app called 'AppSaver' from the market. It backs up the .apk files of all the apps on your phone and stores them on the SD card. So whatever you do with the phone, the .apks are always there on the SD card and you can install all the apps again, without downloading them from the market.
P.S. the app takes backup of only the .apk and not the data. Eg: If you back up Angry birds, it just backs up the .apk and the levels/scores you achieved would not be backed up.

you can be rooted and still be using the stock rom. in that case, just install titanium backup or root uninstaller, both of which give you the option to uninstall stock apps

[Q] Problem in titanium backup with my LWW

Hi,
I update my WT19i to ICS from GB yesterday, So i backup my apps with titanium backup pro. After successfully updated my phone to ICS and rooted, i restore apps batch by batch. I made preferences setting to install restored apps in external memory only.
After i update 50 apps, i find my internal memory going too low, now it remains only 16.5 MB, I can't identify where is the problem.
Is there any solution?
Use busybox from tb or system ?

How do I remove Google Play Movies?

Hello,
I have tried removing as much bloatware as I could, I am using the rom Omega 16.1 which is great.
My only problem so far is I can't seem to remove Google Movie Plays. I tried titanium backup and root uninstaller, but it still won't uninstall this app.
Any ideas on how to fully remove it?
Thanks!
Delete the app from System/Apps folder .

[Q] Application not installed

Hi guys, I have a Noot Tablet 16 GB using CM10.1.
I installed an app and then uninstalled using Titanium Backup.
No I'm trying to install it again and every time I try I get "Application not installed".
How can I solve this?
Re-install it through the play-store, then just restore "app data" through TB.

I can't. First it's not a play store app, and second, I don't have a backup.
How did you install it in the first place?
Edit. Ok, re-reading op, I assume you originally side loaded an apk file, un-installed it (without backing up) through TB, and are now trying to re-side load the app? Assuming this is all true, are you using the same original download file from the first install?

Yes, I download the APK, installed, test it, uninstalled with TB (because I was using it and I remember that I need to uninstall that APK, so I kill two birds with one stone), try to reinstall very same APK, always fail.
I assume you are rooted and have custom recovery. If so, go into CWM/TWRP, wipe cache and dalvik-cache then try installing. Also, before doing any of that go into settings under security and make sure you have unknown sources checked.
Good luck

Ok, I have one more thing to try. Go into both internal and external sd cards, find android/data, within data erase any file associated with that apk. This should clear all remnants of that apk file from you nt. It will be closer to the state it was in when you first installed the app.
Sorry if I couldn't help.
Good luck

Is the app still showed in Settings->Apps? If it is, you can try delete its entry there.

What app is it? If it's available on the Play Store install the app there. As for the the previous uninstalled app there must be parts left behind. Look around in your File Manager. For now on use the settings to uninstall apps.
