Speaking of iPhones, what games can you play on the Android and iPhone cooperatively, such as Nova?

Sadly you can't play Nova in co-op. It's just a quake style you vs. them kinda deal. It's still pretty fun tho!

http://www.gameloft.com/android-games/top/ GameLoft is a significant developer for iDevice's games. They started porting some of them over but not offered on the Android market. Offered on their own "market."
Also you should either alphabetically list them or somewhere in the thread mention that: the listings of these games does not stand for ANY ranking of any sort. Otherwise some people might mistake that the #1 suggested game is on the very top.
alchemy is a pretty cool game
but.... HANDS DOWN--- Kwaak 3 Arena is the best thing to show off our phones.. Map props to Andershizzle for his hard work on this... its in the development section...
Thanks for the suggestions guys, keep em coming.
EDIT: Nevermind, already in the list, i missed it.
Let's Golf is one of the best games I've played on any handheld, ever.

I like Crystallight Defense. It's a tower defense game. I think it looks a lot better than Robo Defense and I'm surprised it's not on the top free list.
I also want to submit a preemptive nomination for Angry Birds. I can't wait for that to be released.

Crystallight Defense is a hybrid has a "trial" and paid version so its not 100.00% "free" game. Looks good though, will definitely give this a try.

This.
Also, Hungry Shark! Hilarious game.
Yeah Hungry Shark is good. The controls should be better though.
Ummm you didn't list Gameloft's games or DVide Arts' games or most of the EA Mobile..
The most beautiful games for this phone:
EA Mobile:
Need for Speed Shift
The Sims 3
Tetris
FIFA 2010
Gameloft:
Assassin's Creed Altair's Cronicles
Dungeon Hunter
Real Soccer 2010
Gangstar West Coast
Modern Combat Sandstorm
NOVA
DVide Arts:
Crusade of Destiny (3d RPG)
Welcome to Hell (Zombie shooter)
and of course Kwaak3 Arena for online play and just plain epicness. Check signature link.
I'm playing Zenonia now. It seems kindof buggy with the music but I'm enjoying it.
I'm actually working on my own little RPG It'll be turnbased though like Final Fantasy

Were you able to get Need for speed full game, I do think it is really good, but want the full game, and when i try to get the full version it tells me i must be on the Verizon network to get it, well it being a vibrant im on tmobile, so does anyone have a fix for this? or a link to a fix?
How did you get Gangstar working?
What would you guys say are the best games available for the Nook?
I too am looking for a consolidated list of the best games.
Specifically, let's try and make this thread a list of the games that are stable on the NC, and also the specific versions of said games.
Let's post the method to legally acquire these games and what is needed to get the best version running on the NC, and/or the tricks necessary to have the best experience.
Of course Angry Birds and Angry Birds Seasons.
Also emulators + games (Snes,Genesis,etc)
All work great no tweaking..
Pocket Legends owns me right now
They say its WoW in your pocket, works great on NC
You can download for free on the pocketlegends.com android forum
sent from my NookColor
I've been playing Mini Squadrons and Grave Defense.
Bowquest
Doodle Jump
Gun Bros Beta
Hungry Shark
Meteor Blitz
Reckless Racing
Squibble
Zenonia
Zombie Defense
...all working great for me.
One thing to note: I have squareparts added.
My list(I only add games that work great):
4 Player reactor
Angry Birds
Astro
Basketball Shot
Bonsai Blast
Bow Man
Buka HD
Can Knockdown
Crazy God
Crush the Castle
Dungeon Hunter
eagle Nest
Fast and Furious: Adrenalin 3D
FireFox
GuitarHero 5
Gun Bros
Heavy Gunner
Homerun Battle 3D
Krazy Kart Racing
MiniGore (THE FUNEST GAME OF ALLL TIME)
NinJump
My Paper Plane
Penguin Golf
PSX4Droid
Rope Cut
Speed Forge 3D
Tank Hero
Totem HD
Transformers G1
PLants VS Zombies
These all look great. It seems like games that need to be rendered in real time(aka 3D games) will perform the best. The second will be games that use vectors, such as angry birds.
games
Pocket legends
angry birds season
zeonia
crazy snowboarder
For the Gameloft games, which method are people using to download?
On their website, you have to select a phone model and then enter a phone number.
Is there a best device model to choose? I was thinking of selecting the Galaxy Tab, and then sending the download link to my Droid. Then I was thinking, would it be better to select the Droid itself?
I was thinking it would be best to select a device that has the same or similar resolution as the NC, but... the Galaxy Tab has a better GPU, a PowerVR SGX540, compared to the NC's GPU (same as the Moto Droid and other TI OMAP devices: PowerVR SGX530)... so, not really sure. Trial and error usually doesn't lead to too many problems, but I've never bought any Gameloft games, no idea how it works in terms of getting different app versions, specifically for activiation or anything (if there is any activation).
edit:
And for games that don't show up in the market, what's a good legal method of getting these games? Just download on another Android device and load that apk onto the NC?
On my NC, I have the latest Market version found in another thread, but there are still a ton of apps that are not showing up when I perform a search. It's not an issue of only paid apps not showing up, even Firefox is absent on my NC's market.
Same as other people, but poolbreak pro is also good.
Robo Defense works, but requires Square Parts.
Disco, where'd you find Plants vs Zombies?

Ok, yea I'm using that. I thought it was something else because another person said about square parts earlier.
I haven't played Pocket Legends yet but I plan on changing that in the next few minutes!
All of the rest have worked fine for me. I spend most of my time playing with Nesdroid, Dungeon Hunter, and Angry Birds.
Also, Game Dev Story works great.

Would also love to know the answer to this question. I have both hero of sparta and dungeon hunter for my og droid but when i try and load them it says something to the effect of incompatible device.
If u could get spiderman total mayhem fro gameloft to DL the extra data I would say that is hands down the best playing/looking mobile game ever. I love it on my droid

So I just checked out Pocket Legends while I was on my lunch break. Thankfully I pretty much get to make my own schedule because my usual one hour break turned into about a two and half hour one. Thank you, thank you, thank you bigted41 for the suggestion!
Also, if you're in the market for a good, old school 8-bit RPG - Gurk runs pretty well.
Words with friends doesn't seem to support the resolution properly, you can't pull the rightmost tile so you have to trick it to get that tile
Ya it sucks H.A.W.X doesnt display properly and its my favorite game.

Dungeon Defenders is a great game on the phone.
Captivate 2.2.1 OCed
Atrix Root
Nexus 1 2.3.3
Jet car stunts
reckless racing
don't work
Thankfully, SpeedX does work, the only game I actually play. Mini squadron isn't bad either.
I got this game from the market called Samurai II: Vengeance. I believe it's the only game on market right now that only supports the tegra 2 chip other than dungeon defenders if i am not mistaken. it runs so smooth and graphics are just stunning. it's a must have on our phones!
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.madfingergames.SamuraiII&feature=search_result
I tried a few of the "top" games and found that "Unblock Me" doesn't work well (resolution issues) but is playable. I also cannot get the "Live" Poker or Blackjack to function (force closes while trying to join a game--software issues?).
Angry Birds, Slice It, Alchemy, and X Construction all seemed to work properly though.
Jet car stunts works just fine for me.
Air Traffic Lite doesn't work right now. I emailed them about it.

That's an EA game right?
I think that EA has to just set a variable in their server to allow the Atrix to download all their games. I have heard the same about Need for Speed Shift. It would seem that it will just be a quick fix on their end.
If you have another phone could you use titanium backup to transfer the files and data over? Or just manually copy them from the SD of another phone?
When mine comes I am going to try to find a way to copy all of my gameloft games over with titanium backup. Their policy says "one phone one game", mine says "I already paid once, don't push your luck".

I'm addicted to home run battle 3d HD. It looks awesome on this phone. Just make sure you get the paid HD version and not the standard free one.

Samurai II: Vengeance is Awesome Paid App
Just downloaded Monster Madness works great haven't had to muck playing time to say whether it was worth the ten dollars. But both games look awesome.

Weird, the lite version worked for me.
Samurai II and Dungeon Defenders are the two must gets. Just tried Dungeon Hunter (Diablo like game from gameloft) and it works fine but graphics don't compare those games. Modern Warfare sandstorm works but has some graphical issues which don't affect gameplay.
Sims 3 & Worms
I previously purchased "Sims 3" & "Worms" for my Captivate. Both games installed on my Atrix but when I go to download the data they need it gives me an unsupported device error.. Anyone else getting this error? I am on WiFi..

Hi, long time reader, first time poster.. Had a question for fellow Rezound owners...
Is anyone having issues with gameloft games, even the hd ones? They load and videos are full screen but when goes into actual game its about a third of the screen and all the buttons dont match where you have to touch the screen for them to respond. I also had this issue attempting to play the Quake 3 Arena port.Am I wrong in guessing we are just gonna have to wait for devs to patch games for the newer hi-res phones? Thanks in advance.
not sure on those, but I have Samurai II: Vengeance and ShadowGun which are also HD games and they play fine. although they do manage to make the phone run hot and slowly drain the battery while its charging... õ_Ô
Thanks for the quick reply. Went and tried both those games, they look fantastic! But I see what you mean, the phone warms up considerably, I am hesitant to keep playing those games, how much heat can it withstand I wonder.
As long as the phone is only hot when playing games, it is fine. If the phone's heat isn't hurting your hands, then it is fine.
Yeah i noticed that some games won't download the extra content and some like Splinter Cell don't have any buttons at all.
hmmm... if we could somehow keep dry ice close to the back of the phone. ó_ó
If it is a game that says optimized for tablets, I would assume it should work with our phone. If tablets are not supported, you are probably going to have scaling issues. I could be wrong.
It seems Gameloft games are out until they optimize them for the the higher resolution then, too bad, they are putting out some great looking games. Do any of you Rezound owners have any other game recommendations. Samurai II and Shadowrun are amazing, does anyone know any other compatible great games? Thanks in advance.
I don't play games, but I did play the NFS demo which was pretty cool.
Scrabble on Rezound
The Scrabble that EA makes for Android sure gets screwed up on the Rezound. It can't handle the 1280x720 it would seem, so you get a tiny little game in the upper left of the screen and a bunch of crap everywhere else. It's just barely playable in the tiny upper-left corner.

Nova 2 didnt work fine for me.
Hi everyone,
As most of you know there are emulators for most of the older gaming platforms out there for Android, for example NES, SNES, N64, Amiga etc. Alot of games on these platforms work really good on Android, but the controllers are often so bad that you cant be arsed to play it anyways.
Are there any emulated games that you actually DO play, and if so, which ones? I am eager to play some old console games on my phone but I have a hard time finding games that are actually playable and enjoyable with a touch screen controller.
(I got a Galaxy Nexus. Can't wait for a working version of GTA3!)
N64 is good. Goldeneye and Mario Kart work well on my Rezound. I also play backyard baseball sometimes with SCUMM VM
Castlevania symphony of the night with FPSE runs nice on my thunderbolt with onscreen controls but its perfect with a ps3 controller.
Anyone have Tyson Punchout?
Castlevania Aria of Shadows
Pokemon Emerald
On my poor little Wildfire they run well
Thanks for the tips. I am currently playing full throttle in ScummVM and can recommend it strongly. Also games like Broken Sword 1&2, Monkey Island 1-3 and Day of the tentacle seems very entertaining and easy to control due to the point-and-click system.
Any SNES turn based rpg. No need for more than 2 inputs at a time.

Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre, Vandal Hearts 2. All are PSX games and all play very well on my LG Thrill.
